Performance improvements and bug fixes.
Solebon has always been a reliable name for card games, and their FreeCell version doesn't disappoint. It’s exactly what you want from a solitaire app: no lag, clear card faces, and a clean interface that doesn't distract you from the puzzle. The animations are subtle and professional, which makes for a very relaxing experience.
I really like the 'Winning Deals' feature. Sometimes you just want to relax without worrying if a game is mathematically impossible to solve, and knowing there is a guaranteed solution lets you focus on the strategy of moving cards into the free cells. It’s a great way to unwind before bed or during a quick break.
Thousands of standard and winnable deals
Detailed statistics and high score tracking
Unlimited undo and redo functionality
Customizable card sets and backgrounds
Auto-complete feature for finishing games
The key to FreeCell is moderation. Try to keep at least two of your four free cells open at all times. If you fill them all up early, you lose the flexibility needed to uncover the cards buried deep in the columns.
In FreeCell, almost all deals are solvable. Success depends on your ability to move cards into the four foundation piles (Aces through Kings) while using the four open 'free cells' as temporary storage to rearrange the tableau.
The app includes a 'Winning Deals' mode where every game is guaranteed to be solvable, alongside standard random deals.
I tried a lot of solitaire apps before settling on Solebon. It is by far the easiest to see and to use. One quick tap and it guesses (mostly right :) where you want the cards to go. Understands how to use feee cells. Don't bother with the "winning deals" though. Too easy. Haven't a random deal yet that I couldn't win. Small defect: 1. Needs a Redo button as well as Undo. 2. If you have 2 empty places in the tableau and 1 free cell and you're moving 4 cards, it doesn't know how to do that. You have to tell it to move 2 cards to one space and then the last 2 to the other space and then move the first 2 onto the last 2.
I've been playing this Free Cell game for years. It's hands down the best one in the store! Plus, there is an elegance with the art that none of the other ones have.
I enjoy this app, and am glad to have found it. It's definitely a favorite!
I play it every day.
