Smart Baby Sorter HD is a standout in the crowded 'early learning' genre on the App Store. The high-definition assets are crisp and clear, which is actually quite important for helping young children distinguish between subtle shape differences. The gameplay loop is classic—sorting objects into their respective holes—but the execution here is exceptionally polished. The drag-and-drop mechanics are forgiving, preventing the frustration that often comes with less-refined physics engines in children's games.
I was particularly impressed by the thematic variety. From winter-themed sorting to everyday household objects, it keeps the visual interest high. The voice acting is encouraging and clear, reinforcing the vocabulary being taught. It’s a fantastic tool for developing fine motor skills and cognitive categorization. It’s the kind of digital toy that feels like a premium wooden set, but with the added benefits of interactive feedback.
High-definition visuals for iPad and iPhone
12+ diverse sorting themes
Focuses on logic and motor skills
Intuitive drag-and-drop gameplay
Drag the item on the left to its matching silhouette on the right. Complete the set to unlock the next themed level.
Start with simple color matching and move toward complex shape and size categorization as your child improves.
No, once downloaded, the game can be played entirely offline, making it great for travel.
Great app but there is an error or something. Each time game is played it it asks us to swipe to buy. When we do that, it does say we already paid. Just inconvenient bc it won’t give full access without double swiping each time. Wonderful app for the kids otherwise.
My son will be 2 in a month and we are working on learning our colors. This app is great to help him sort items by colors. He does really well on all of the levels and it keeps him entertained. He loves to pop the balloons at the end of the level. It’d be nice if the play button showed up after popping balloons. 👍🏼
Same as reported above, I can’t open it and let my child play because I have to go through the process of purchasing it ILE ach time which my child can’t do without some frustration.
My grandson loves these games and stays focused on them for great periods of time. I can see the wheels turning as he figures out each game. It also gives us an opportunity to talk about the pictures and work on his speech as he pronounces the words. Glad I found them!
This is a wonderful program for toddlers. However, there is a mistake. One of the activities requires sorting of vegetables, fruits and berries. The watermelon should go with regular fruits, but it will not allow the watermelon with the regular fruits. It allows the watermelon to be grouped with berries. Watermelons are not berries.
$2.99 is a little pricey. My two year old loved it but quickly was saying "I already did this one." Just wish you got more than 12 levels/games for $2.99.
I got the light version of this game to try out and it plays cute, fun music, and is a great game! But the full version doesn't have the music. Am I missing something?
Purchased the full version & it asks me to pay for it every time from my downloaded app. Keep having to go to the purchased apps and launching the app from there so I can get the full version app. It’s irritating.
