Sun Jun 10 2018 MJSantaAnother reviewer already said this (I should have read the reviews first), but you need coins to play. When you run out of coins you are required to buy some. I have the physical version of this game and I love it. But I'm not going to continue to pay for coins. UPDATE: Developer message said I could shut betting off so I could play the game. So I re-downloaded it and it works great.

Shut the box
Fri Dec 18 2009 heron pondGreat game. looks deceptively easy but becomes very challenging and makes you think as you play. Kids can play and learn simple addition and subtraction while being entertained. Adults too can enjoy this, but be careful, it might become addicting. I found this a real bargin for a buck without the calories.
Weak graphics, Weak help, and Rude Developer
Sun May 24 2020 RK-APPLEGame has weak graphics. No option to play against computer. Help appears to be limited to Coin Calculations. If you want to play variations and know the rules associated with them you’ll have to do the research yourself. Developer is also very rude in responding to reviews that aren’t positive. Suggest looking elsewhere!
Many bugs (used to work fine)
Thu Feb 02 2023 WRS15743Edited review: Developer, you did not understand my review when you replied to it. I know they are all separate games. In the past I played them before and they all worked fine. They don’t now. Only the regular game works. The rest don’t. For example in the Thai game it no longer letting me pick the sum. So that’s a bug. Not me. It’s the game not working. I’m no longer interested in this game and will not be replying further. Prior review: I recently re-downloaded this game on my newer phone because I used to have it and it worked perfectly. The Classic mode still works perfectly. However there are math bugs in other modes. For example, in the Thai mode, you are supposed to be able to pick just one of the dice, or their sum total. But it won’t always let you pick the sum total. On my first roll, for example, I rolled double sixes. All boxes were still open, so I should have been able to choose 12. But when I tried to select two boxes adding up to twelve, it said try again. It did this with other valid rolls too. Same kind of thing happened in the Doubles mode too. It wouldn’t let me pick a valid move when I tried to play this mode. It also had math errors in odd and even modes. I’d click on valid moves and they wouldn’t register. A couple times it even let me click non-valid moves. Also, for some reason, if I tilt my phone elements on the board tilt in a visually weird way. This never used to happen. Classic mode is fine, other than the tilting issue, but this game doesn’t work like it used to. I was going to buy coins (optional) but now I’m not. Unfortunately I’m deleting the game. If it ever gets fixed I may try again. iPhone 12, iOS 16.3.

Sat Jun 05 2010 A.R.TeixeiraBeen playing this for years, in England, in the U.S, in the bathroom, on the grass, you name it! I have a couple of table versions of this and now this app. Fun game known to have been used for gambling purposes in certain circles. Fun for the whole family!
Perfect shut the box!
Sun Nov 16 2014 Banzai11The only app with all shut the box styles! Cool effects and addicting gameplay! Really nice game. I had it on iPhone 5 and it works great on both iPhone 5 and iPhone 6.
Feel Like I Got Scammed
Sat Sep 17 2016 gdgdg13So, the game is well made and plays nicely. Problem is, it's bricked after you lose 500 coins which takes about 10 minutes. Wanna' play again, then pay for more coins. Had this been explained CLEARLY up front, I'd have never bought it in the first place. Was just looking for something to pass the time while traveling. I passed about ten minutes. That's it. I really feel scammed. Glad the lesson only cost me 99 cents.
