It manages to capture the delicate balance of friction and momentum that makes real-world shuffleboard so compelling. The competitive edge is sharp; matching up against someone in real-time and seeing them sweat over a long-distance shot adds a level of tension you just don't get from AI opponents.
The progression system is surprisingly deep for a casual title. Unlocking new pucks isn't just about aesthetics; different materials react slightly differently to the wax on the board.
