- More doodles!
Shout About is a refreshing breath of fresh air in the mobile party game space, primarily because it leverages modern technology to solve the oldest problem in trivia: the 'typing' barrier. By utilizing voice recognition and local network play, it transforms the smartphone from a personal distraction into a shared digital fireplace that everyone can gather around. The gameplay loop is brilliantly simple—the AI doodles an image, and players compete to be the first to shout the answer. It’s chaotic, loud, and genuinely hilarious when the recognition picks up a frantic mispronunciation or a near-miss.
What sets this apart from typical 'Heads Up' clones is the sheer scalability. The local network play theoretically supports up to 100 players, making it a viable option for large weddings or corporate icebreakers rather than just a living room activity. The inclusion of SharePlay for FaceTime calls also means that distance is no longer an issue for family game night. While the AI drawings can sometimes be abstract to the point of frustration, that usually only adds to the competitive energy of the room. It’s a must-have for anyone who frequently hosts social gatherings.

To play with a large group, ensure everyone is on the same Local Network. Open the app on multiple devices and select 'Join Game' to sync everyone into the same chaotic drawing arena.
When you see the AI start to draw, press the buzzer and clearly shout your answer. The speech recognition is relaxed to accept synonyms—like 'Plane' for 'Aeroplane'—to keep the game flowing.
Standard network play is for local Wi-Fi only, but you can play remotely using the SharePlay feature during a FaceTime call.
Local multiplayer does not work at all. Useless app!
