Update for iOS Compatibility
Shisen Sho is a great alternative to standard Mahjong Solitaire. The 'two turns' rule for connecting tiles makes it much more of a spatial puzzle than a simple matching game. It’s incredibly calming, and the lack of a time limit in most modes makes it perfect for winding down at the end of the day.
The different modes like Gravity (where tiles fall down) and Frame (where tiles are only on the edges) add enough variety to keep things interesting. The 'Daily Challenge' is a nice touch that gives you a reason to check back every day. It’s a clean, well-coded puzzle game that doesn't try to be too flashy, which I appreciate.
No Time Limits
Guaranteed Solvable Stages
Gravity & Frame Modes
Daily Challenges
Hint & Undo System
Connect two identical tiles with a line that turns no more than twice. The path cannot pass through other tiles.
In Gravity Mode, tiles fall into empty spaces once a pair is removed, constantly changing the layout and requiring future planning.
The game includes a hint function to help you find matches and an undo button to backtrack.
Great game, wish it had choice of different tiles.
This app is enjoyable but starting to show cracks. It is low res, looks bad and, on iOS 10, I am now greeted with a warning that the app is not optimized and will slow down my iPhone. Fix or remove. There are other options.
I have played this since taking a class on Linux and it is an easy stress free time killer BUT it does not offer the different variation found in PC and Linux. Stick with the free version, not much different.
