Ship Ramp Jumping is the maritime equivalent of those 'car crash' simulators that have taken over the internet, and it is every bit as ridiculous and fun as it sounds. The premise is simple: you take a massive cargo ship, an aircraft carrier, or a luxury yacht, drive it down a gigantic mountain-sized ramp, and see how much destruction you can cause when it eventually hits the water (or a nearby city).

The physics are delightfully over-the-top. Watching a 100,000-ton ship ragdoll through the air and crush a skyscraper is a cathartic experience. The game has a strong 'one-more-try' loop, as you use the money from each jump to upgrade your engine power and boost. While it isn't a 'deep' game, it’s an incredible stress-reliever with high-quality destruction physics. It’s pure, unadulterated arcade chaos that doesn't take itself seriously.

A little broken, but still fun

Like all Boombit games, it’s a short fun 3-things-to-upgrade romp. The ships are ridiculous and explode satisfyingly. Really the only drawback is the weird economy in this one: any engine or boost upgrades are lost after the current board, but the cost keeps going up exponentially. So if you rely on Boost early on, the later stages get excessively grindey. And really, it was already pretty grind-ey. There isn’t any skill to this one, it’s just fun explosions and upgrading until you reach the end, then it wraps around again. Fun, but I hope they fix the costs in the next one.

Only fun for a few levels before major thumbs down.

This app was fun while it was asking me to rate them. But after you reach level 4? They start giving out very little points to upgrade your boat. So little that you need to make the same jump 5 times before being forced to watch a very long ad only to have to play the same jump another 5 times to watch the ad again so you never get to upgrade your engine or boost. The only way to do it is to watch like five to six! 30 seconds ads then you get enough coins to make an upgrade good enough to get you maybe an inch closer to the end of the level so again you must watch multiple long ads in order to get a tiny boost to complete the level. So it could be a great app but obviously they corporate greed is at an all time high. This game gets a major thumbs down.

Was fun until I played it more.

When first starting out, just like any other game there were an absolutely absurd amount of ads. Seeing potential for this game to be fun, I gave in to the $3.99 option to get rid of ads. Being able to then advance through the levels at a much higher speed, I discovered that every time you beat a level, your skills reset to zero… but the dollar amount you need to upgrade does not. Currently my upgrades cost 340,000 coins and on the new level I’m on, I am getting anywhere from 14,000 to 60,000 on a single jump. It is very grindey and honestly not very fun. I then got a “special offer” for $10 to get a 2x to 4x multiplier on every jump. I spent it. It ended up doing literally nothing and there was no multiplier. I requested that as a refund from Apple and they approved it. 1 star.

Terrible game.

This game seemed fun and enjoyable from the ad i came across on tiktok. I decided to install it and after a couple rounds, i was greeted with a “$3.99 to remove all ads”. Stupid me decided to invest. Ever since that point, it took double or even triple the amount of rounds to do a small upgrade to my ship. I decided to put up with it because why not, it gave me something to do. After a while, I finally got to this level where i am currently on day 4 or 5 of trying to complete. I have literally gotten the ship in the green slot perfectly, and it will not progress to the next level. I have only had this game for a week or 2. I feel absolutely taken advantage of and robbed. Huge waste of my time and hard earned money. No one waste their time and especially not their money on this game.

Fun but annoying

So I like the game but I feel it’s all about adds per usual every game on phones but come on. I have to watch an add to get some decent coin then I spend all this time upgrading and upgrading then I beat the level and I start back at square one. I’m upgraded to level 168 now and it’s kinda annoying to always have no boost that I’ve spent so much time watching adds to get to this level. Any way to fix this?

Fun but some major issues

Yes I paid the $3.99 to remove ads. There were so many ads I would never have continued without removing them (mostly because I love the concept of this game so much, and it really is a blast to play) however, your upgrades reset after every level. Yet as you progress, the higher prices for the “level” of upgrade you are on does not reset. So essentially this game forces you into paying for coins and upgrades, which I will take no part in.

Looks a lot different

When I watched the ad, I thought it was gonna be so realistic thought it was gonna be cool but when I started playing the game it was so non-realistic and didn’t work out all the way the game worked in the ad this game is terrible. it doesn’t even make the right sounds. it is really annoying when it looks really really good in the ad but it is a horrible game it’s like download in call of duty and it looks like Fortnite plus the ship is it even a ship it’s a plank with a bunch of boxes stacked on top of itI recommend not buying it

Disappointing

I saw the crazy cruise ship hurtling down a giant water slide ramp and careening into buildings with destruction everywhere and immediately downloaded the game. Then I played three… I dunno what they are. Levels? Jumps? And I’m bored and uninstalling. There’s a very awesome concept here, it’s just executed so poorly and with the only focus being ads, that it ruins any fun to be had. Remember the crash levels in Burnout? This could be that, except no. There’s no tutorial, no level design, no missions, no goals, no cool “try to hit this target” objects, and so on. All it is is hold the screen, watch the ship crash into stuff, and then get some small amount of in game $$ that is used (I guess?) to upgrade your ships (no tutorial or explanation), or watch and ad for a more significant amount of $$. And then watch another ad before playing the next level. Rinse and repeat. No thanks.
