- new levels
Screw Pin Jam Puzzle is one of those 'easy to learn, hard to master' games that really hooks you. The core concept of unscrewing pins to drop metal plates sounds simple, but as you progress, the complexity of the layers and the limited hole space becomes a real brain-teaser. The 3D animations are smooth, and there's a tactile satisfaction when a large plate finally falls free.
I found the variety in level design to be the game's strongest point. Just when you think you've mastered a technique, the game introduces a new mechanic or a more intricate layout that forces you to rethink your spatial strategy. The haptic feedback on the 'screw' action adds a nice physical feel to the digital experience. It’s a great game for quick sessions, though the later levels will definitely require some focused logical planning. My only gripe is the occasional ad interruption, but as a free-to-play puzzle game, it's a fair trade for the quality of the content.
Diverse level designs with increasing complexity
Tactile 3D graphics and smooth haptic feedback
Focus on spatial reasoning and strategic planning
High replay value with varying pin positions
Satisfying scoring and reward system
Before moving any pins, look at which plates are supporting others. The goal is to clear the top-most plates first to avoid trapping pins underneath falling metal, which can block your progress in tighter layouts.
In more complex levels, you'll have limited 'open' holes to move pins into. Use these 'buffer' holes strategically to temporarily hold a pin while you drop a plate, then move it back to unlock the next section.
The game allows you to reset the level or use specific rewards to help you find a way out of a 'jammed' configuration.
In case you’re wondering why the ratings r so low for this game, it’s probably because it is infuriatingly impossible to play unless you watch like 5 mins worth of ads or pay money. The levels are designed so that you can’t beat them without playing them over and over again (like 20+ times), or if you spend money/watch ads. And even if you decide to watch 3 rounds of ads (2+ mins each), half the time you still can’t win because the pins are arranged in a way to make it impossible. It makes you want to destroy your phone.
Settle in for either paying a LOT of money or watching a LOT of ads. This may sound like common sense these days, but 95% the levels in this game are designed (almost impassably so) for you to either use a “continue” item or watch at least one ad (most likely two). It’s a shame because some of the levels do have some fun strategy involved, but the ads make the gameplay jarring at best. Some of the ads are easily skipped in 30 seconds, but a majority (looking at you, Royal Kingdom) require you to watch over two full minutes of ad content each time and hit the X button at least four times. If you can put up with the ad nonsense or are willing to spend an ungodly amount of money, you’ll enjoy this time-passer.
This game is designed so you can rarely complete it without using hints or watching an ad. And I’m talking like maybe 5 hints per game even if you play it well. The hints are expensive and awarded very sparingly. Now they’ve made almost every ad 2 minutes long. This is the kind of game you can only play while watching TV so you can just put the phone down when you need to play an ad. Otherwise be prepared to spend a lot of money to enjoy this game.
This game is not playable or possible without ads. It doesn’t give you ads at the end because it knows you will have to watch them to pass any level. Ive tried many theories and played hours and hours on the same level. It doesn’t make a difference. Besides the ads it makes you lose on purpose even though the pin is right there. I wish I could give 0 stars for the deception of this game. I have it many hours to see if it was possible to progress without watching an ad. The answer was no.
I really was interested when I seen this game but after level one, it’s really hard and they obviously want you to buy things or watch ads, I watched five ads to get an extra box thing and it didn't work three times and only the last two times after I re opened the app is when it worked. This is very frustrating and I deleted this game the next day after getting it. I don’t even want to get started on the timer, it should be no timer in my opinion, maybe only in a few levels.
This game is the definition of cut your nose off to spite your face. The creator of this game is incredibly greedy to the point it’s actually hurting him. What you do is actually allow people to play the game for awhile let them see what it feels like to not have adds and let them get addicted to the game then put adds in. The way they have it now is it’s insufferable right from the get go if you don’t have an extreme amount of patience you are going to delete this game.
I’ve been playing this game for months now. I love that every time you lose a level the colors are in a different configuration the next time you try. Even if I’m stuck on a level for a while, the changes make it still feel fun
I love this game but playing it for a while now but there’s one thing that is extremely frustrating that occurs. Sometimes I will have one open slot on standby, will put a screw in that spot to make one I need available to finish a case, but it’s still fails the level for me. Other than that great game.
