ST Medieval Wars Deluxe is a solid, focused turn-based strategy game that strips away the complexity of modern 4X titles to find the fun in pure tactical positioning. It feels like a high-fidelity digital board game. You manage a small army of knights, archers, and pikemen across various terrain types, where the goal is simple: outmaneuver and eliminate the enemy force.

The 'Deluxe' edition shines in its balance; the rock-paper-scissors relationship between units (Pikemen stop Cavalry, Cavalry trample Archers, etc.) is perfectly tuned. The missions are snack-sized, usually lasting around 5 to 10 minutes, making it a perfect companion for a commute. While it doesn't have a massive narrative, the satisfaction of a perfectly executed flanking maneuver is the real draw. It’s a clean, strategic experience that rewards careful planning over quick reflexes.

Terrain Advantage

Always place your archers on hill tiles. This grants a +20% range bonus and a defensive multiplier, allowing them to rain fire on incoming infantry without taking direct damage.

Army Management

Interact with your city hubs to recruit new units. As you conquer territories, you gain 'Glory Points' that can be used to permanently upgrade your units' armor or mobility stats.

The game is very good and well made. But the thing that frustrates me the most is the conquest. It’s timed, and is way too short for me to even finish, so please either make more rounds or make it unlimited rounds. The campaign is good too, but it’s very limited. There’s only like 5-6 missions for each campaign and you’re done. I want more missions for each country. Also add more countries, just having England, France, the crusades and the Vikings isn’t enough.

Beware! App doesn’t work and Apple denied refund

I’m writing this review to warn others. This app doesn’t work on my iPhone 13 Pro Max on iOS 16.7. Basically, the app tries to load with a transparent screen and then closes and brings me back to my screen. I tried refunding but Apple denied the refund claim. I appealed the decision and explained it crashes instantly but I was denied the appeal. I know the update history shows no updates for years but other apps from other developers don’t have this problem. I also didn’t see any recent reviews so I’m putting this review to helps others.

The game is great! But i have one request and that is more multiplayer maps,there is not enough multiplayer maps for hotseat, and i think you should take maps from scenarios and put them as hotseat maps,thats all i have to say

I love this game but it isn’t compatible with iOS 11 please update it and I would be very happy also if you update it could you make like a campaign with a bunch of factions to play thanks :)

I bought a lot of the upgrades because I thought why not support the developer. After ONE game they were ALL gone . $24.99 down the drain for 2 hours of game play. Unbelievable. Reading reviews on the net this has happened to lots of people. Unless this is and error that is fixed by the developer after I write them, I'm filing a complaint with apple.
