Card Space....

I think the most frustrating part of this game is the amount of cards you can hold. I find it incredibly frustrating that you can only buy 20 extra slots for cards per 50 diamonds, when diamonds (in my opinion) are hard to get. I don’t think that this is much of a problem with the other games because I think the other games have less groups/soloists to apply cards to, but with this game, with the abundance of soloists and groups (NCT having 12 separate things alone) there are just too many artists to only have 200 slots be available from the beginning. Even if you changed it to 250 from the beginning, it would still be a humongous improvement because it would give a lot more room to keep other cards to upgrade with later on. I understand that you guys have to make things to where they people want to use diamonds to get stuff, and have to buy more diamonds to give you money, but it’s truly frustrating when you’re out of room for cards and can’t buy more room. Other than that, I absolutely love this and your other games. It takes a lot of time off my hands that I’d otherwise have nothing to do with.

THERE IS A LOT OF THINGS TO FIX

SSSM the game is VERY pay to win when it comes to events. It’s hard to get the limited theme cards without diamonds especially because the events call for A grade and above. The only way you could get the event cards is if you BUY diamonds or save up, which isn’t easy with a new event EVERY week & the diamonds we get from attendance is very low. Without diamonds you can’t get the cards except for the SINGULAR A card you get from the event itself, it’s even harder when it a group & not a single person (some events only have a B card) or if you upgrade the cards to A from obtaining lower grade cards. I’ve been VERY close to getting the event wallpapers & cards but can’t because I don’t have enough diamonds to buy more cards for the event which is very upsetting because I want to get the items. We only get 10 diamonds in the attendance which IS very low when compared to the Japanese games which has 50 for attendance. Can the diamonds attendance increase please🙏🏼🙏🏼 Over the years the company (SM entertainment) has become extremely money hungry. When I first started playing (in 2017 I think) the game was fun, it’s lost that. Not only that but the event card rate is ABYSMAL!! There’s a 1% chance of you getting the cards, not everyone has the resources to get them whether you’re buying the 35k card packs or the 300 diamond one (depending on the event). 1% probability is CRAZY especially when you have events BACK TO BACK.

Confusing Layout for Players of Other Superstar Games

I love the superstar games (specifically jypnation and starship) so I decided to download smtown to also play there. The user interface for this game is unnecessarily different and extremely frustrating to navigate. All of the common features across the superstar games, like the event, collection, shop, etc. tabs are located in completely different areas in smtown. Additionally, the song library is also completely different and harder to navigate because everything is a smaller size. Another feature that bothered me was the event missions. There were so many missions that were somehow all related, but because of the sheer number it was so confusing. You’d have one section where you earn tier points and another section where you actually receive the rewards for them. There was too much unnecessary clicking and having to go back and forth between tabs. The rewards for the actual missions are also so much smaller than jypnation’s, which made me less motivated to participate in the missions. Besides the different layout, the actual gameplay for the songs is fine and identical to the other games. I would say that it’s a great game for smtown fans who only play this installment, but a bothersome game for superstar fans who want to enjoy the entire franchise.

Pretty fun

It’s pretty fun, and it has a ton of songs to offer, and events all the time, so it can keep you going for awhile. However, I have two main issues. 1. It falls under the dreaded mobile game curse. Most mobile games have two currencies (this one diamonds and rhythm points) and at some point in time everything becomes very expensive and the only option to get lots of the main currency is to wait or to do repetitive tasks. This happens here. I have several cards I want to upgrade, but because of the high level, or because of not enough extra cards, I have to wait awhile to gather up rhythm points for not much payoff. It’s minor, but it is still a problem that would defiantly improve the experience in game. •The different modes (easy, normal, and hard) and not always consistent. Some easy levels are more like normal levels, some normal levels are like easy or hard levels, and hard levels are sometimes normal or super hard. I know that songs are different, and require different things, but some levels are just out of the ordinary, and frustrating. Other than those 2 things, I think it’s a pretty good game.

I love this game it’s pretty cool and I love how fast you can make each game but I would like to see more modes like extreme or something then the other three. My top two problems I have with this game is 1. How many cards you can hold. This issue is so annoying I hate when I have to many cards then my Inventory is full then I have to delete cards just so I can get other cards and do the same thing so on and so on it’s so annoying and the tutorials are kinda confusing in my opinion like it took me a long time to figure out how to do things in my inventory 2.It falls under the “gets old” games. Yes it’s different for other people but for me personally I think sometimes the game gets boring then I. End up forgetting that I have this game then play again and miss all the updates like I think this game should get better updates like big ones that make the games fun not just adding more songs into the game in idols groups yk? Other than that this game is so fun I recommend this game to everyone okay bye !! ❤️

Good Overall, However Some Issues

I would give the game a higher rating, but there’s several issues that prevent me from doing so. First is the load time when launching the game. Why does it take ~5 minutes on the newest Pro iPhone? Once in, navigating each screen takes another ~5-10 seconds for each one to load. I feel I spend more time staring at the loading circle rather than playing the game. The next issue is that, while playing the game, an alarm or phone call will disable the in-game sound. You have to relaunch the app to get the sound back. Alternatively, you can finish the song your playing and try starting a new one. If an alarm or phone call recently took place, the game will crash when selecting a song. See complaint above as to why this is an even bigger issue. If these issues were fixed, the game would be a more enjoyable experience. However, even with these issues, I still find myself playing daily to at least complete the daily missions. That’s the reason I’m giving it a 3/5 since I do enjoy the game overall.

Lag with notes and set up

I love this game, I do. I am just finding it very laggy when playing the songs and sometimes notes will be skipped over and counted as wrong. I find the lag very irritating and makes this game hard to play... The lag/ jerk like movement made is the only thing I have to say anything “bad” about. Yeah sure, searching for songs may be annoying at times but I found songs I didn’t know about yet or I heard them before but forgot the name. The set up definitely is different than SSBTS but I don’t find it that hard to use or get used to. Everything does seem a bit jumbled and all over the place whereas SSBTS set up is cleaner and organized better. The game does not lag until notes start showing. I have not had to force quit or had it close on me at all, which I appreciate. I will still play SSSM but until my game does not lag and miss notes anymore, my rating will stay at 4 stars for now. Thank you so much for making this game though. I enjoy playing SSSM. :)

Pay to win era I fear😔. There’s hardly any chances to get diamonds because there are no events that give them. Everything useful is locked behind a paywall and that’s fine for me because I don’t care for what is being offered. It’s difficult to get into higher leagues for better rewards in general. The live themes were just for show originally I think and now they add a score bonus for every single one you have and you can’t currently get the only one they have unless you bought it when it first came out. And now due to the live themes they are going to continue adding it’ll be harder for those not spending money to attain world records anywhere and even have a harder time getting out of the leagues. The live themes contribute to the scores of ALL songs instead of just the group that the live theme is. I’m sure the weekly league will be harder because of those from higher ones getting moved down due to them not having the live themes. Idk, I feel like this could have been done better. I wouldn’t have cared if they didn’t affect the score for everything in the game. I guess we’ll just wait and see what happens.
