Rytmos is an absolute standout in the puzzle genre, managing to blend musical theory, minimalist geometry, and planetary exploration into a cohesive, zen-like masterpiece. The core conceit—drawing paths on 3D cubes to create musical loops—is incredibly intuitive yet deepens into complex logic as you progress. Each 'planet' you visit represents a different global music tradition, from Zimbabwean Kalimba to German Electronic music, making the game feel like a cultural odyssey as much as a brain teaser.
Technically, the game is flawless on iOS. The haptic feedback is synced perfectly to the beat, making every line you draw feel tactile. The way the music builds layers as you solve components of a puzzle is profoundly rewarding. It’s one of those rare games that makes you feel smarter and more relaxed simultaneously. Rytmos isn't just a puzzle game; it's a living instrument that invites you to compose while you solve.
Stunning 3D minimalist planets and solar systems
Dynamic soundtrack that reacts to your puzzle solutions
Musical styles ranging from Jazz to Japanese Gagaku
Built-in digital instruments to jam with your solved puzzles
Every path you draw must return to its origin to create a loop. If a puzzle feels unsolvable, look at the star tiles first; they dictate the rhythm. Trace the rhythm in your head before committing to the line to ensure the flow doesn't cut itself off.
Once a planet is fully solved, you unlock the 'Live Mode' for that world. Here, you can play along with your created loop using a digital synthesizer tailored to that planet's specific musical scale and instrument set.
Not at all. The game is designed so that the puzzles follow logic and geometry; the beautiful music is a natural result of your solutions.
As a music and puzzle lover I think this game is awesome, immediately dropped the five dollars, I’ve paid much more for worse games. However I do agree with the reviews wishing for multitouch functionality for the instruments. I hope they create or add more levels in the future. I have run into an issue which is affecting my completion of the game. After completing two of the Octad levels in the Hyperstition Galaxy, It will not let me continue onto the third one. It will pop up as an option, but I am unable to click on it. For reference I am fully updated and using an iPhone 13. Hopefully the devs will see this and be able to help me out.
Love the game!! However, disappointed that the slider cube was too far off screen to move the floor around in the first puzzle of the Yaqub planet. I noticed that the cubes were half off screen for some other puzzles in the same galaxy, but I was still able to move them around.
Loved the game, so I bought the full version of it. Only problem is that the game just won’t let me play the full version anymore, and says that I am still only in the demo version. Please fix this and let me play the game again
Fell in love with this game instantly. Only downloaded to begin with because it’s a free app. I complete the demo part which consists of only 3 unlockable instruments, and now to play the remainder of the game, I’m required to pay. It literally only took me less than a half hour to play thru the demo. Would get 5stars if rest of game was free. It’s flawless, just advertised as a free game when it’s really not.
It’s a good idea. However, even on iPhone 15 Pro the input latency is too high and there is no multi-touch functionality. That makes it rather difficult and unenjoyable to jam at the end of a stage, ‘cause the note is always 100ms or more later than my touch. And I can’t play two notes at once with marimba.
Peaceful and great game, would like to play the whole thing! but when i try to purchase it, it stays stuck on the “Communicating with store” loading screen, please fix this!
I tried to download this multiple times restarting my device, updating apps, deleting some, and nothing worked, it kept crashing over and over so if you could fix this it would be nice.
All I have to say it’s that, I love it it’s such a good game, you get to learn new instrument’s each time you solve a puzzle, and you get to make some beats, and the puzzles 😔🤚🏼chef kiss. The whole game it’s like wow, it’s pretty cool.

You solve puzzles, then create the songs, in this tactile puzzle game spanning genres and instruments, from Ethiopian jazz to krautrock.
