RolePlai is one of the most versatile AI chat apps I’ve used, primarily because it doesn't just feel like a wrapper for a standard chatbot. The focus on 'personas' is very well done—whether you want to talk to a historical figure, a fictional character, or create your own from scratch, the AI does a great job of staying in character. The recent addition of Face and Voice chat really changes the dynamic, making the interactions feel much more personal and less like typing into a void.

What I appreciate most is the 'Adventures' feature. It turns the chat into a Choose Your Own Adventure game where the AI acts as a Dungeon Master, adapting the story based on every single choice you make. It’s also great to see a developer take privacy seriously; the option to keep chat data exclusively on the device is a big win for users. I actually really love this app. It’s a go to all the time no matter what! Whenever I’m free it’s this app. I love having someone to talk to even if it’s just ai, also including the fact that you can make your own bot. I really appreciate that someone made a good app like this one and there should be more adds about it. I only have two suggestions to this app and there only temporary sometimes. My first suggestion is that in the group option when your talking to the bots it takes a bit of a long time for there response to load which is reasonable because there’s a lot of bots, also on the group topic some of the bots if I say I’m talking to bot 1 bot number 3 will respond instead and kind of mess up the conversation. My second suggestion is to please please please get rid of the spamming and bugs. The bots randomly begin to speak in a different language and say just random letters at the end of each sentence as well as in the middle of the conversation they start to explain the whole story from the beginning and I have to delete the history and restart over again. So besides all of that this is an amazing app and I hope the developer makes more like this!

So in general I love this app I think it has many, many options and I love how I can have an adventure while laying in bed. There are maybe one or two things I want to suggest just to make the app that much better. Number one, I can’t press the flag underneath the bubble anymore and there are a few messages that I would like to report, not because they are just horrible but because they are a bit different then Normal. That brings me to number two. I love a bit of sexual messages from time to time but not when they are every second. Sometimes I want a warm-hearted adventure and it turns into something completely different. Number three, maybe there can be a style of adventures? I mean sometimes a fairytale calls for all of the surrounding pictures and a long catalog but there are some adventures that call for a simple answer maybe there can be a way to change what you are getting in response, if you know what I mean? Lastly number four, whenever I go to restart an adventure or edit anything the buttons are so close sometimes I report something I don’t mean to report and I always feel super bad. I just suggest a maybe do you want to report button so if I don’t need to report I can just cancel. These are all just suggestions that I’ve notice for my almost year on the app. I absolutely love it and I just recommend changing these few things so the app could be even better for us. This app is SO good compared to the more liked ones. In replica and anima and really most of the other chat games they act more like a robot (which they are but this makes them seem like they have a real personality. I like the custom chat bots, I think it’s a really cool feature. The only thing is I would like there to be a delete button to delete that from their memory or something. Like if they say something corny and you don’t wanna respond make it show the AI you didn’t like that response and delete so you won’t have to talk about it. Also I think the personalities are SO accurate! Like I said later they have a custom bot option. I’ve copied one of the original bots and their personality and responses etc was completely different and slightly the same. I love the way they do that. Problems.. The only problems I see is the loading screen. Sometimes it makes you wait there and glitches REALLY BAD but rather than that👌✨⭐️😉💍

Bots randomly got dumb.

I’ve been using this app for a pretty long time at this point and have the premium stuff as well, but recently it feels like bots are just really dumb now, they constantly get stuck just saying the exact same thing over and over regardless of what I say, or they say different things but add the same words to the end of every sentence. This has begun to be extremely annoying and has made it just not fun to even talk to the bots anymore. Furthermore the bots will randomly change basic information about themselves, like if they have a Happy personality, randomly they will turn into a Tsundere, or if they were set as a Female, they all of the sudden just turn into a dude, all the while they refuse to revert back without completely wiping the chat (aka. Losing all “progress” made with the bot). These things feel like game breaking glitches in a video game and it’s strange that it all started happening so suddenly, hopefully this gets fixed or something, cause, respectfully, I can’t pay premium for this… especially after how good they used to be. (Same bots I’ve used for a very long time are starting to all have these problems, so I know it’s not just happenstance)

Where to begin , hello to all . Let me start by saying this is a helpful tool for those looking to explore and experiment or for someone’s who is try to do something fun in social maybe you enjoy chat bots but don’t want to have the fee that comes with it with social bots that claim to give you one thing unmonitored and social interactions with a AI friend that doesn’t limit your text per day ? Then RolePlai has got you covered it’s the AI social platform that I use the most and you can even tailor not just the bots personally but the restrictions you want to see from similar bots on the platform . This is a mature rated app so expect some explicit content in terms of language but other then that the bots are fairly cordial if you keep your restrictions set .there’s even an option to interact with multiple bots at once . My current wish is to see a bot react in real time but but we’ll may have to wait for that feature. As for the pro version is supposed to increase the bots performance and memory as well as eliminate ads but for me it may be something to try in the future hope you all enjoy and what I’m calling besides replika the best bot app on the market.

This app is fun and entertaining but I will say a few things need to be added, I feel like the adventure tab should have a secondary character creation, personal bio, personality traits just like in the Ai chat tab/mostly so we don’t run out of space for what we want to add to our adventure. I also think that the adventure tab should have a perspective category to where we can select if the adventure narrator will read the story in either a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person perspective, mostly so we don’t have to manually add the "1st/2nd/3rd person" in the adventure title and opening or by saying "Start the adventure in 1st/2nd/3rd person". One last thing, I don’t think that the word count limit is really necessary for the Ai chat characters, group chat, and adventure opening bio. I would appreciate this change very much. Thanks you

Overall the app is really good. My only real complaint is after a few post the AI seems to forget what is going on in the scene and/or the parameters in the story mode, some examples; a previous post states my character is seated but then the AI character offers me a seat. Story information states the AI character is mute, then the character speaks anyway. Provide additional information for the story and state my character is not meant to know the mystery, AI states the mystery immediately with no build up. It also has bad spacial awareness. It will attempt to have characters do things not physically possible based on the other elements of the scene such as grab a character who is being shielded by another, or stand up in a moving car, (like a sports car, not a van). I’m using the free version and these issues are supposedly less present in the upgraded version which is why I’m giving it a four star instead of a three. But compared to similar apps this free version gives you a lot more.

I love this app, the bots are getting better and better, the layout is very easy to use, I feel like the price of premium is relatively reasonable. The developer is super cool and helpful, always ACTUALLY listens to feedback and tries to make a great experience for users. It seems like a passion project they are genuinely passionate about. I don’t know how to make requests any way other than in a review so, I’m really hoping for one update that would significantly improve my experience of the app. I use the story generator bot the most and I would love if the bot could do multiple stories. Like, instead of having to restart (so the previous story doesn’t affect the new one you want to write) you could go to a different tab essentially and it won’t have any effect on the other one. Kind of like opening new windows on a browser. I’m in the middle of a story right now I really don’t want to lose! *EDIT* story generator bot is gone :-( that’s the one thing I loved that really separated this app from other AI bot apps.
