A few bug fixes and now asking for reviews! Here's a list of everything that was added:
In-app review prompts added to the game - Thanks!
Volume settings saved between sessions now
Endless mode music was not looping properly on certain devices, should now be fixed
Ranger Character is now +3% crit per level (was +2% but UI actually said +5%)
Zombo was getting damage buffed after loading a new level even though it should not. Now will stay 6 dmg whole run.
RogueSlide is an absolute stroke of genius when it comes to mobile indie game design. It takes a completely ubiquitous casual interface—sliding blocks around a small grid—and turns it into a genuinely tactical, high-stakes tactical fantasy adventure. It is rare to find a puzzle game where a single swipe can mean the difference between a glorious victory or instant death.
The game's charm lies entirely in its mechanical predictability. Because the entire grid shifts together, you can perfectly plan out multiple turns ahead. You find yourself analyzing the board like a chess match: 'If I swipe down to grab that shield, it will push that elite orc directly into my fragile left side.' It forces you to balance greed for loot with careful survival positioning.
With its ultra-clean aesthetic, quick loading screens, and highly rewarding progression, it is a masterclass in mobile game design. It represents everything a great handheld game should be—deceptively simple to pick up, immensely deep to master, and near-impossible to put down after just one run.
Incredibly clever fusion of simple slide-block mechanics and deep strategic RPG rules
Multiple unlockable hero classes, each possessing unique starting stats and special passive skills
Dozens of distinct monsters, items, and interactive trap tiles that keep every run unpredictable
Clean, minimalist art style optimized perfectly for quick one-handed vertical mobile play
When a Goblin Shaman enters the 4x4 grid, prioritize sliding him against an outer corner block immediately. This prevents him from spawning annoying rock blockades in the center spaces, keeping your paths clear to grab healing potions.
Players swipe in one of four cardinal directions, causing all loose tiles on the 4x4 grid to slide together. Sliding your hero tile into a lower-stat enemy inflicts damage and clears the square, while collecting potions or armor shields boosts your stats to tackle deeper floors.
The Wizard class is unlocked by successfully reaching dungeon depth floor 15 while holding a magical scroll item in your inventory.
Games by this developer are always good and always monetized fairly, and always have a cool design. I’m so glad I just discovered this new one. It’s exactly the kind of game I’ve been looking for to play in small spurts throughout a busy day. Everything is done right. Great tutorial, very intuitive UI, gorgeous art design, uses no battery, no ads, no data collection, and very fair premium monetization. I instantly bought it after the my first game. I happily support developers like this. It’s very easy to pick up and play. It’s challenging but in a fun way, even for a casual gamer like me. You can save and quit at any time from the menu, so you can play in small spurts. Everything is well thought out. I’ve always liked the 2048 mechanic, but I don’t like numbers and am not super good at it. This takes that idea, but makes it more fun by making it a dungeon crawler. The developer nailed this mashup. This will stay on my phone. I highly recommend this game. Thank you, developer! You’re one of the good guys out there that makes good games and treats customers more than fairly. I love this game!
Most genre mashup attempts have an impedance mismatch. This one clicks flawlessly. The progressive variation in monster behavior is cleverly done and remains a joy to navigate in repeated playthroughs. Unlockable characters first force you to exercise two existing mechanics more strategically, and then radically switch up gameplay, while still cohering perfectly to the control mechanic. This is so well done. I haven’t felt so unreservedly bullish on an iOS game in years.
I already owned this game on Steam, and liked it there, but I like it even more on a phone with a touch screen. It’s a really interesting mashup of 2048 and a roguelike dungeon crawler that turns in to a fun puzzle game that is great in short bursts, and has no ads, which is exactly what I want in a mobile game. The free version will give you a clear indication of if it is for you, and the full unlock at $3.99 is a great deal.
I really enjoy this game. The mechanics are very enjoyable without being complicated. The new weapons and spells along with the different characters definitely make the runs feel different. They are working through some minor bugs as the game is still new, but my biggest thing is that I would love to see the game continue on longer - more levels, more fun. Just needs to be expanded.
This is precisely the kind of game that shines on mobile. Simple, familiar mechanics meet engaging, but not overbearing, strategy in a novel context—all accessible via one-thumb portrait controls. Add in the fact that there’s no data tracking, and this game is a winner—easily worth the $4 asking price.
Ok a bit of an overstatement. But this is the first game my wife and I both enjoy together. I come from the RPGs and roguelite games. And she’s the puzzle-mix-and-merge queen. We both play this together after work and try to beat each others scores.
This is very nice! I love the interactions and how it plays out. Intuitive and doesn’t consume too much effort to learn the game mechanics. Daily run could utilize a bit more designs to make it truly feel daily rather than the normal quest.
I was just checking it out to see what it was about. I ended up playing for hours. And now I play it daily for the challenge.
