Happy New Year! In this update, we've made improvements to better support iOS 18 and the latest devices. Thanks for playing Real Solitaire!
Real Solitaire Pro is a premier choice for card game purists who want the Windows-style Solitaire experience on their iPhone. The developers at EdgeRift have clearly spent a lot of time perfecting the feel of the game; it uses the exact same shuffling algorithm as the classic Windows version, ensuring that the 'luck of the draw' feels authentic and fair. The modern, flat design is easy on the eyes, and the holiday themes (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) are a delightful way to keep the presentation fresh throughout the year.
The feature set is comprehensive, including both Standard and Vegas scoring modes, and a particularly intelligent hint system that actually helps you learn better strategy. Small quality-of-life touches, like the 'Auto Complete' that finishes the game once all cards are revealed, and the ability to listen to your own music without interruption, make this a superior daily-driver app. Whether you're playing for high scores or just to relax, this is a top-tier solitaire implementation.
Authentic Windows-style shuffling
Seasonal holiday themes and wallpapers
Auto-Complete and Intelligent Hints
Standard and Vegas scoring modes
Right and Left-handed layouts
In Vegas mode, you 'buy' the deck and earn money for every card moved to the foundation. To be profitable, focus on moving cards to foundations quickly rather than just clearing the tableau. Don't be afraid to use the Undo button to explore different move paths.
Go to the settings to choose from various card backs and wallpapers. You can also toggle between 1-card and 3-card draw to adjust the difficulty of your session.
Yes, Real Solitaire Pro is designed not to interfere with Apple Music or other audio apps.
Why has a game I’ve owned for years changed to some kid like layout? I no longer have the backgrounds and cards that were there when I bought the game. You can’t make the cards smaller, you added custom backgrounds like that was ever something some wanted. That card are to big and there is no option to change the size. I’ve had this game for over 11 years and this update is horrible
I play this game literally every day and it was great for 5+ years. The app was recently updated and there are some big annoyances. 1. The landscape layout on the larger Max phone isn't as wide as it used to be. It feels very cramped. 2. The above is compounded by the dramatically increased button sizes for the new game, hint, settings, etc buttons. They take up close to a quarter of the screen. They used to be much smaller and were still easy to press. 3. After every game it brings up an annoying game center screen to save the score. This is solitaire not a moon landing. Finishing a game isn't that noteworthy. Also I don't see an option to turn off this end of game nonsense. If you were to list the old version of the app in the store I would gladly pay you again and buy that version.
After an Apple software update obsoleted my previous solitaire game I was forced to find another to feed my addiction. This one, once the no-ad tax is paid, has proven to be a fine substitute. I preferred the auto-complete of my previous game, but otherwise this one plays more smoothly with better screen rotation and better graphics. I’ll miss my old companion, but this is a fine substitute.
Do not like being forced into some kind of organized gaming mode. By definition the name of the game is solitaire and that is what I want to play. No cutesy name or anything that goes with it. I do appreciate the other like auto finish on a win and left/right option. If the changes come at loss of even more internet privacy the I will just delete.
I’ve had the app on my iPhone and iPad for years and loved it. With the recent release of a new version, I find the user interface is no longer to my liking. Other improved features may be great, but the format doesn’t work well on my iPhone.
This hasn’t been updated for five years. It used to be fine, now the iPhone version is just a bore. It doesn’t even have auto complete and this is 2020 the year of the pandemic.
Does not have auto finish, serious flaw, and does not have the option for drawing from the right side instead of left deal. Both are available on the iPad version. Would be glad to pay a few dollars for a complete version for my phone, but until it's fixed I won't even pay .99. I see from other reviews these things have been requested for over a year, so apparently the game designer doesn't care what people think and want.
Previous versions used standard size print. The bold print used here is more pleasant to view on my small phone screen.
