Rap Star is a surprisingly detailed life-sim that captures the 'started from the bottom' hustle perfectly. You begin with nothing but a notepad and a cheap mic, and the game forces you to make real decisions about how to spend your limited energy and cash. Do you stay in the studio to finish a track, or do you go perform at a local open mic to build buzz? This resource management is the heart of the game and keeps you constantly engaged in the 'one more turn' loop.
The mini-games for recording tracks and performing live add a nice layer of interactivity that keeps it from being just a menu-based clicker. While the social media growth mechanics can feel a bit grindy in the mid-game, the satisfaction of seeing your track climb the virtual charts and landing your first big collaboration is worth the effort. It’s a great pick for music fans who want to see the behind-the-scenes management of a rising hip-hop career.

Ive played the other rapstar and then when this came out i had to play it and truthfully its a banger i play this game everyday and have had many careers i do like the things you can do other than make music ofc you have the ability to buy cars, houses, and sports teams and have little investments to improve your wallet i also like the trends that was something that wasn’t in the previous game and its beneficial to the career you have Having no ads is a blessing and i appreciate the developer/creator for that its really annoying to have ads If the development sees this you guys have a great game here and for all who want to try it please do its a fun game, updates have been consistent and great although i would like to see a record label update to be able to have a record label like the previous game it was a nice feature in the game, also possibly a tweak and adjustments to the in game dating app
I love this game, it has no ads, never gets boring, but i would really like it if you could upload pictures for album covers. The album covers are okay, but i would like to be able to upload some of my own. A small but cool change would be to change song lengths. Song lengths wouldn’t be a huge change but i would still love to have that option. Another thing is the festivals like Coachella, Super Bowl, etc. or even make monthly listeners more accurate. It’s so hard to get monthly listeners & so easy to get streams. I could have 20 billion streams and only 20 million monthly listeners. People with 20 million streams normally have 1-3 songs with over a billion streams, maybe 1 of those with 2 billion, definitely not 10, 20 billion streamed songs. I still love this game especially considering it has no ads.
I believe when we record diss tracks to artists, maybe they should respond back with one or two. And once we have post on Twitter knockoff, maybe we see our own comments. And when we tag other artists, they should be allowed to reply as well. And when we check our tweets, come u with dates for tweets, like a post two years ago will come up as posted two days ago. And for all for beefing, how come we can only get our diss tracks. And maybe diss tracks should be a thing for other artists, like they can beef with the play or they beef with others. Like the Kendrick Lamar Drake beef, have Droke and Kandrick Lamar beef in the same year they actually did
This is a great game, extremely fun. I love company though this game is missing a lot of things that the other games have. For example, I have no reason to accept label deals after I get successful if I already make 2 Million every week, So I just end up declining every deal. Also I do like the artist relationship thing but it feels lack luster like yes it lets you pay less but doesn’t really add much more. That’s all I can think of right now but I think this is the most lacking game that you guys have released, it’s basically just music star simulator with less features and artist relationships. But besides that it’s a great game. Also I don’t understand the award show system at all, My catalog can fill up the whole billboard 25 yet I don’t win any awards that year? Extremely confusing. Still love the game but it’s just problems like these that make it less enjoyable.
I still think it would be great to add how many shows you want to do for each venue. For example, you choose to book up to like 5 nights at MSG or perhaps include a residency. Something to at least fulfill the estimated ticket demands. Because it feels lost upon itself to be big enough to where you can sell an estimate up to 5 million tickets only to get up to half. Also, add on some one-off festival concerts like a Coachella and Rolling Loud type of thing.
this game is so fun! the time passes by whenever i play it. buttttttt i do think there should be some features added: differentiate projects: you should be able to call a project an or a mixtape. custom album art: you should be able to put photos from your camera roll or files as the album cover to an album or single. create your own label: whenever i get to the top of the industry, a bunch of labels ask to sign me for like 500k when my net worth is like 5 billion. you should be able to sign up and coming artists on your own and build your own label empire. realistic prices: once again, when i’m at the absolute top of the industry, i have labels and feature request completely lowballing me of my worth. the prices should vary more when you gain more popularity. true to the eras: i wish that if i started my career in 1990, i would have to face the ACTUAL competition from back then, and then that competition evolve as i go on. like travis scott was not making music in 1990.
I think this game should have more customization. like changing your hair, how you look, etc. there should also be a feature where you can do public stunts, have controversies with other artist or people. also there should be an option where you can do halftime shows for sports, festivals, parties, and grammys. also theres a problem where my partner is aging every week sp please can you fix it please!also add an option for you to create more artist to collaborate or to have beef with. one problem i have is when i diss an artist the ai will say that my song is the other artist song. please fix the ai!!! other than that it’s a great game and i 100% recommend!
I’ve been playing your games for awhile now and I really love the format, your games are fun and addictive, HOWEVER, they run dry once you figure out the method, and the ‘post game’ features like buying cars, properties, and investing, aren’t entertaining enough to keep someone playing after getting rich. Please work on one really good game instead of pumping out clones of the same one. Make it even more interactive and realistic, give it more gameplay, and more replay value. Your games are successful but they all plateau around a certain point of popularity, and this is what would propel them forward. Please do this it would be so fun and successful if not for you do it for me.
