Some minor improvements.
Pucko is a minimalist physics puzzler that understands the power of 'less is more.' The objective is simple: get your puck to the goal by bouncing off walls and avoiding obstacles. As an expert in game feel, I was struck by how much weight and friction matters here. The difference between a light tap and a full-power flick is palpable, making the mastery of the physics engine a core part of the satisfaction.
The aesthetic is clean and modern, using bold colors and simple shapes that ensure the player never feels overwhelmed by visual noise. The level design is where the game truly shines, consistently introducing new 'puzzle' elements—like portals, moving walls, and gravity wells—at a pace that keeps you engaged without being frustrated. It’s a perfect 'flow' game; once you find the rhythm of the bounces, it becomes a deeply meditative and satisfying experience that is ideal for short breaks.
Over 100 handcrafted physics puzzles
Clean, minimalist visual style
Intuitive flick-based controls
Satisfying haptic and audio feedback
Think of Pucko like a game of billiards. If you hit a wall at a 45-degree angle, you will bounce off at that same angle. Use the faint 'projection line' to visualize your first bounce before you commit to the flick.
In the 'Cosmic' levels, watch out for the purple orbs. These are gravity wells that will pull your puck toward them. Use them to curve your shots around corners that would otherwise be impossible to reach.
No, Pucko is a 'relaxed' puzzler. You can take as many shots as you need to clear a level.
IA is a bit too difficult. I've played about 25 games and won only 1. $2.99 was way too much for this game also. There is just not that much there. I like the simplicity of it.
I don’t really write reviews ever but I saw your comment on a Reddit post saying to try your game and after purchasing it I think it’s a decently fun game. I also saw that you’re willing to listen to criticism and make changes to the game based on what the community says. I think it’s good just how it is, but the only thing I could think to add is the ability to change the difficulty of the AI. Right now the AI seems to be both way too easy and way too difficult at the same time. They’ll miss wide open shots and then the next then hit the craziest trick shot known to man. Anyway, cool game and I wish you luck on your game development journey!
Can’t get it to connect with my friend.
