Upgrade tents, cook meals, host activities, and unlock new visitors over time!
Pond Pals is as charming as a sunny afternoon. It takes a classic 'sliding' puzzle mechanic and skins it with the most adorable frogs you've ever seen. The animation of the frogs plopping into the water when you make a mistake is so cute that you won't even mind having to restart the level.
While the mechanics are simple, the later levels introduce some genuine 'aha!' moments that require some serious spatial thinking. It doesn't try to be the next big eSport; it just wants to be a fun, polished little puzzle game, and it succeeds perfectly at that. It’s great for short bursts of play and is a fantastic 'brain-breather' between more intense activities. Plus, who doesn't like putting tiny top hats on frogs?
300+ levels ranging from Beginner to Expert
Adorable animations and 'ribbit' sound effects
Unlockable frog hats and skins
No ads during gameplay
Daily puzzle challenges
If you're stuck, look at the last lily pad and see which frog is the only one that could possibly reach it. Then, figure out where that frog had to be before that final jump. Solving in reverse is often the key to the harder levels.
Some pads have arrows on them that force your frog in a specific direction. Use these 'Launch Pads' to reach areas of the pond that are otherwise inaccessible.
Yes! The interface is very intuitive and the difficulty curve is designed to be kid-friendly, while still being fun for adults.
I’ve been waiting for months for this game to come out and got so happy when I saw the notification. So far this game has been amazing! I love the overall idea and the graphics are so nice. The art is amazing, I love frogs so much and this game just makes them so cute along with all of the other fun animals! Definitely recommend this cozy little game to anyone who just wants to chill!
For a game that claims to be for 4+, they have no right showing an add for “pine drama” which is soft pxrn if not crossing the line of being pxrn itself. This is disgusting. This is how children are exposed to these ideas. Do you not even care to monitor what adds your showing? Just say yes if they’ll pay? I planned on writing a review about how it’s a cute app- definitely pay to win but still has me hooked… but no. This trumps that review. I expect this to be fixed immediately. And before you say children shouldn’t be watching adds, I’ve already clicked on the add thing 3 times as it came across my screen on accident and there’s no way to exit until the add is over. So you’re kinda trapping kids into watching inappropriate videos or exiting out of the app (which we know not many will do bc of curiosity as well as wanting to continue playing) While I’m writing this, I do want to mention there’s minor inconveniences with the screen layout. The yellow advertisement you have on the right hand side of the screen almost completely blocks the right island/Lilly pad and it’s very annoying to have to maneuver around it. The left side isn’t too much better. It’s annoying. I can’t see when the little guys want to eat. The 6th server isn’t working. Doesn’t matter who’s selected. Spent diamonds for nothing and that’s quite frustrating. Congrats, it’s a cute game and I can see it being successful- but you absolutely need to monitor your adds if you’re going to claim this game is appropriate for 4 year olds to play.
For some reason, I thought this was an Apple Arcade game when I pre-ordered it, so I was extremely confused by the ads. That’s my bad for not understanding. However, the ads make this game completely unplayable. There are so many all the time and it’s very easy to accidentally click something on the screen that starts an ad. Also, like others have mentioned, the UX could use some work. First of all, in the shop there should be a back button. Like if I click on tent 1 I should be able to back up to the main screen and see all the options not have to exit out of the shop or use the arrows to flip through them one by one. Same with the singing button. We should be able to hold that down not have to repeatedly tap it. It’s such a weird mechanic in the first place and the way it currently works is extremely boring and repetitive. I do love the game design and music and that the collectibles are based on real time. This game has so much potential and is so cute, but it is currently a bit of a nightmare to play.
It’s such a cute game and I’ve been looking forward to playing for so long but the ads are very obnoxious. You cannot play this game without watching an advertisement. The app developers have created the game in a way that you literally cannot go more 10 seconds without watching a 2 minute long ad. There’s no option to purchase no ads either, only an option to purchase 10 “ad tickets” for $1. or $2 for 24 tickets. Which gets you a whopping 5 minutes of gameplay without ads. Other than the amount of ads the game is adorable and super fun. Overall it’s a disappointment and I feel scammed. There is no game, it’s just money laundering advertisement.
It’s a cute game, to start off. The music is cute, the animals are cute. The camp art is adorable. I like the sound effects and overall the polish on the visual side is great. My issues are with the system and UX. I’d give it a higher review if the game implemented some sort of “swipe the screen to clean” or “hold down to sing (even if slightly slower)” mechanics, because without those, just a 30 or so odd minutes of playing has caused mild strain on my thumb from how much I’ve just had to repetitively tap the screen. I have a fairly small phone and the font size of the text was so small that I felt like I had to put my face closer to just read it. I think it’s fine you’re playing on an iPad, but just be aware of this if you’re on a small phone like mine. And by small I mean any regular mobile phone. I like cozy games, I like games that really just boil down to do the same thing 600 times. I don’t like games that don’t feel intuitive to the point my hand starts to hurt.
In my game the angry raccoon is appearing way too much, once every five minutes is overkill. also please nerf him, it shouldn’t take fifty taps to get him away. there should also be a way to retract the daily log even when you haven’t found all the daily items, it gets in the way. same thing with the falling dandelion, it appears way too much and it blocks my screen all the time. aside from that this game is super cute and fun.
This game is adorable and has a very simple concept. The art isn’t too much and there was definitely hart put into the game. So far I’ve only encountered one bug which doesn’t really change the game badly. When feeding the customers at the pond, sometimes the little icon stays until after they are done eating. Other than that the game is great!
I’ve only played it for about 30 minutes and I already love how cute and cozy it is. If you like games like animal crossing but that have their own flare and charm, you’ll probably love this one. I will definitely keep playing and maybe come back with an update (i don’t know if that’s possible tho, this is my first time doing a review lol 🫣)
