PokerCruncher is not a game, but a professional-grade tool that should be in every serious Texas Hold'em player's pocket. It is an advanced odds calculator that goes far beyond simple 'hand vs. hand' percentages. The ability to calculate 'hand vs. range' and 'range vs. range' is what sets it apart. For someone trying to move from a casual player to a semi-pro, this is the most useful piece of software you can buy.
The interface is dense but efficient. It allows for the input of specific cards, random hands, or entire ranges (e.g., top 10% of hands). While the Mac version is even more powerful (offering hand weighting), the mobile version is perfectly balanced for quick analysis on the go. Whether you're reviewing a hand history from last night's session or trying to understand your equity on a specific flop, PokerCruncher provides the mathematical foundation needed to win. It is widely considered the best odds calculator on the App Store for a reason.
Hand vs. Range equity calculations
Full range-editor with preset options
Flop texture and statistical analysis
No internet connection required
Input your hand and then select a range for your opponent. Tap 'Calculate' to see your win/tie equity based on thousands of simulations.
Use the board input to see how your equity changes from the pre-flop to the flop, turn, and river.
This specific version is for Texas Hold'em. PokerCruncher offers separate apps for other variations like PLO.
There is a learning curve to effectively use the app, but well worth the time and effort. The ability to play out past hands and the various scenarios, then save them is definitely helpful. As longtime cash game only player with a positive lifetime win rate, I never relied on technology, solvers and crunchers. This app opened my eyes to various mistakes I’ve made in the past and guided future decisions. This past weekend it added confidence to my game when heads up in an over blown pot that I took down.
This app is great. I just started to Use it and I am still trying to learn how to take advantage of all the options and inputs. This app is paired well with post flop workbook from split suit. One suggestion is a tutorial to walk you through everything this app can do. An in app tutorial. Maybe I just haven’t found it yet.
Incredibly easy to use and highly customizable. I probably consult this app a dozen times after hands in every tournament I play. Will definitely improve your play if used regularly to understand your odds of winning.
This app is easy to use and figure out…especially for older persons like me!! This is WELL WORTH THE PRICE TAG as it easily gives info in seconds that I previously could only speculate about
Incredibly frustrating that the iPad app is priced separately. Yes, this version works on an iPad, but is not optimized (e.g., iPhone screen layout). I purchased the iPhone version without realizing there was a separate version, and think it’s ridiculous to spend $30 for two separate pieces of software with the same name!
I’ve been using this app for a while now and I have to say I refer to it regularly it’s easy to use and very helpful! It’s a good learning tool! I gave it five stars.
Had an issue after downloading on my Chromebook- RJ was quick and informative and fair in his support- I ended up switching the app to my iPhone as it suited my needs more - at no extra cost- thanks RJ
Just had this app for just a few days and I’m already impressed with its great functionality. It’s simple enough to use but its potential for its intended audience is beyond my imagination. Great job.
