Planet Smash: Idle Wars is the ultimate 'satisfaction' game. There is something deeply primal and relaxing about watching a massive planet be slowly dismantled by a swarm of lasers, missiles, and orbital strikes. It falls into the 'idle' or 'clicker' category, meaning the goal is to optimize your damage output to destroy planets faster and faster.

The progression system is well-tuned. You start with basic weapons, but as you collect 'Stardust' and 'Gems,' you unlock more spectacular ways to destroy celestial bodies. The visual effects are excellent—planets crack and crumble in a way that feels impactful. It’s not a deep game by any means, but as a secondary screen experience or a way to zone out for a few minutes, it’s incredibly effective at providing that 'number go up' satisfaction.

I wish there was more stuff for me to do, I’ve already done all the achievements other than the daily ones and have unlocked everything except for the purchasable powers and cannon. I also have done all the puzzles and have a lot of puzzle pieces left to use. I really enjoy the game otherwise

Leaderboard is fake. The top players rarely change only gaining like a couple levels a day, where I have been in the lead well over a month with a more than 300 level lead. It is annoying that it constantly resets you after every 100 levels. You continue to collect puzzles pieces long after you have completed the puzzle things. I don’t know the cap on power I have gotten over 200, but comparatively the gravity and cooldown get capped at 100. The cooldown doesn’t apply to what you think it does and the gravity doesn’t change much after the first few levels of it. The lasers you buy with gems are far worse than the gem cannons as they hardly leave noticeable damage. Pretty decent game just wish it were even better with a really leaderboard.

Has some problems with grinding even though the title has idle in the game!

Great game in the beginning, but the game get boring around space 3 or 4 I just hit top of the leader board and it’s obviously fake. The game doesn’t change at all after space 3 and is insanely boring. It should have more progression or more levels in a space. Puzzle pieces need more puzzles because at space 2 I completed all of them. In all the game is really boring pretty soon but the only thing keeping you going is the leader board, it when you get to the top you realize it’s fake and you just wasted days of your life! Needs more meta progression is what I’m saying!

It’s honestly fun for passing time. In like 2 days of casually playing I got on all the weapons so that was a fun little rush but now the only thing keeping me playing are the events, but sadly I haven’t been able to complete them after the second day. I’ll start either the Christmas event or that other 5min one with the saw looking planets buts less than a minute into it the app will just crash and exit and I have to start over. If there isn’t an update soon this might be the end of this game for me.

I came back to this game because I was feeling burnt out from all the other annoying mobile games and this one is just relaxing and calms me down after a long day, simple and entertaining mechanics and gameplay, 10/10 would recommend

Fix the ads

Pretty fun, repetitive grinding game that is satisfying and a good time pass when bored. Quite a few ads but you can close them rather quickly so they didn’t bother me that much. My only big concern is the occasional ad that has a second ad over the close ad button, this makes the game unplayable and you must reload the app to continue. Without this major issue it would have been 4 stars.

Yes, you saw the title right. First of all, THE TUTORIAL IS SO ANNOYING!!! Just maybe, oh i dOn’T KnOw, ACTUALLY make a good tutorial?! Second of all, really laggy. I don’t know what is lagging from a game that took 1 minute to make. But the most important reason that I am even making this review. YOU STOLE FROM ONE OF MY FAVORITE YOUTUBERS!!!!!!!! In the ad that I saw this game in, YOU WITHOUT A DOUBT STOLE FROM THE YOUTUBER, MR. SPHEREICAL!! god, this game is crap even when you haven’t downloaded it yet. AND THE ONLY REASON IT GETS 2 STARS IS BECAUSE THE DECO IS SIMPLISTIC. SIMPLISTICALLY CRAP.

Playing up to Space 7, I had to quit the game. I got to a point where nothing I can do will cause the game to not crash. I can’t even complete a daily event boss because of the constant crashing. I closed all background apps, put my phone’s brightness to a minimum, disabled the sounds and rumble, tried airplane mode, low power mode, a combination of all of these things, nothing prevented the crashing. Actually unplayable since it crashes faster than it auto-saves
