A new pathogen is available.
Patient Zero: Plague Game is a standout entry in the biological strategy genre, offering a chillingly realistic simulation of global contagion. As an expert in strategy titles, I found the mechanical depth here surprisingly robust. The game doesn't just ask you to click on icons; it demands a nuanced understanding of geography, climate, and socio-economics. Choosing a starting country like India for its high population density or Greenland for its isolation isn't just a cosmetic choice—it fundamentally alters your evolutionary path. The UI is sleek and responsive, providing immediate feedback on how your pathogen is mutating and how the world is scrambling to contain you.
What truly elevates this experience is the reactive AI. Unlike many simulations that follow a linear path, the 'World Health Organization' in Patient Zero adapts to your lethality. If you push for high fatality rates too early, you'll find airports locked down and research funding tripled, often leading to a swift defeat. This creates a brilliant 'cat and mouse' dynamic where you must balance stealth and speed. The evolution tree is expansive, offering genuine tactical variety between viruses, bacteria, and parasites. It’s a thought-provoking, albeit dark, strategy experience that perfectly captures the 'just one more mutation' addiction that keeps you coming back for more.
Realistic global infection simulation with real-time tracking
Expansive evolution trees for Bacteria, Viruses, and Parasites
Adaptive AI that responds with border closures, lockdowns, and research
High-definition world map with dynamic weather and traffic effects
Strategic 'Cure Competition' mechanic that challenges your tactical speed
Success begins with your starting location. Choosing a country with a major international airport and shipyard is vital for early transmission. Once 'Patient Zero' is infected, focus your initial mutation points on 'Stealth' and 'Transmission' rather than 'Lethality.' If your disease starts killing people too quickly, governments will notice and close their borders before you can reach isolated island nations.
Gameplay is a constant race against the clock. As your infection count rises, the 'Cure Progress' bar will begin to fill. You must use 'Genetic Hardening' to slow down research and 'Environmental Hardening' to ensure your pathogen survives in both hot and cold climates. Use the dynamic news feed to identify which countries are leading the research and target them with specific symptoms that hinder their productivity.
Isolated nations are best reached through 'Cold Resistance' mutations and 'Waterborne Transmission.' It is essential to infect these areas before global lockdowns occur, as they are often the last strongholds of humanity.
Yes, Patient Zero: Plague Game is fully playable offline, allowing you to manage your global pandemic anytime, anywhere.
I been playing this game for awhile I love it a lot even though I got to the host one I can’t wait for the update plz keep adding stuff to this game if you want know what the mutation is going to do you can just read them and decide if you want upgrade them or not
I had so much hope for this game - the premise is really cool and the way the game is set up is also fun. However, there are SO many ads. I already watch the ads to get bonuses because it’s one of the only ways you can at points, which I really don’t mind. However, even if I’ve just watched three full ads for some bonuses, I’ll get hit with another random ad. Those ads pop up every few minutes, which is especially annoying since this is a game where there’s often a lot of waiting. My other issue is collecting the pink things you need to mutate. It takes FOREVER. I have so much money at this point but I can’t mutate anything because I don’t have anywhere near enough pink ones for a single mutation, which I’ve been stuck on for hours now. Also, watching an ad for it to automatically collect is fine but when the reward is only 2 minutes, it isn’t really worth it to watch a full minute of ads for just 2 minutes of collecting. I’m going to keep the app little longer but will likely end up deleting because the majority of time on it is devoted to watching ads or just waiting for the pink things to pop up so I can actually do something.
This is a good game. However, it would be nice if a certain addition could be added. See, there are quite a few places on the map where it is either basically impossible or extremely difficult to pinpoint a specific location (i.e. Florida, Armenia/Georgia, Switzerland, et al.), & once a place has been selected, it cannot be undone, wherefore I make this suggestion: Make the map to where you can zoom in alot. Had it not been for this, it might’ve been 5/5 stars. Please make the map to where people can zoom in. Thanks in advance! Also please do NOT forget to reveal the 4th pathogen!
I had this game downloaded for about three days. At first it was great. I was able to play for 20 or 30 minutes before the first ad popped up. It was a short ad and not all that bad. I figured one add every 20 or 30 minutes is fine. Then they started popping up every minute or less. I give it two stars and not one because the gameplay is actually very fun. However, the ads kill it quickly. They’re trying to get you to spend money and get their ad blocker premium setting. And don’t bother with airplane mode. I’ve tried it. The ads pop up even on airplane mode.
I don’t write to many reviews unless something genuinely bugs me. I was looking for an idle game and came across this. As I played was like ah cool just like every other idle game. If you want to watch an ad for a bonus then you can do so. After playing for a bit paying “stage 4 evolution” if I click on any of the tabs. Ad for 50 seconds with no reward. Close out game and reopen it. Play for 30 seconds upgrade pathogen another popup ad 120 seconds. Like seriously why is that a thing and the worst part they are not skipable. Game has a cool premise if you decide to buy the “4.99 ad removal” in store purchase. Back to searching for another idle tycoon style game after I uninstall this one
Okay so the game is fun. That is when it doesn’t crash. It crashes when you try to play an ad, when you finally get an ad, when you press to quick, and it also sometimes freezes. You hold your breath and hope it doesn’t crash. It doesn’t but you need to restart anyways. One thing I notice is whenever it crashes it reverts back a bit. So if you are 75 percent infected it goes to 73 percent. It almost seems like your only choice is to buy money because ads that can help you will crash the game and revert you. I have just grown to frustrated to play anymore.
Love the game it’s clearly understood and fun play but there comes a point where everything just halts and if I can’t find a solution I will just delete the game. I’m at a point where everything is upgraded and maxed out but pathogen just won’t advance at all, stuck at 87% when I open the game the spread counts down to zero with no movement no advancement so note I’m playing a game that has nothing to do but open and close it
Very nice game way too easy. I finished all pathogens in 1 day. After beating fungus I didn’t realize it was the last one so when it started again I thought I failed something. So of course I did it again. Would be nice to play pathogens more than once and change difficulty possibly. Please make fungus save after beating it so when the next one is released we don’t have to play it again.
