Panmorphia: Awakened is a gorgeous continuation of the beloved point-and-click adventure series that perfectly captures the wonder of elemental magic. The standout feature remains the ability to transform into different animals—a cat, a bird, or a fish—to navigate the world. This isn't just a gimmick; it completely shifts your perspective and reveals new paths and puzzles that were previously invisible. For example, soaring as a bird allows you to reach high altars, while becoming a fish lets you explore the depths of the elemental lakes.
The artwork is stunningly hand-crafted, creating a serene and mystical atmosphere that is further enhanced by a beautiful, original soundtrack. The puzzles are well-integrated into the environment, feeling like natural obstacles rather than forced mini-games. The dynamic map and notebook are excellent additions, ensuring that you never feel lost without holding your hand too much. It’s a meditative and rewarding experience that any fan of classic puzzle adventures should have in their library.
Unique animal morphing mechanics
Stunning hand-designed graphics
Dynamic map and discovery notebook
Atmospheric original soundtrack
Intelligent hint and auto-save systems
If you reach a dead end, try switching your elemental form. A small crack in a wall might be an entrance for a cat, while a high ledge requires the bird's flight.
If you get stuck, the in-game hint system provides both the next task and the specific location on the map to investigate, ensuring a smooth gameplay flow.
You can transform into a cat, a bird, and a fish to gain different perspectives and solve puzzles.
The scenery, the music, the artwork...all lovely. The puzzles were fun. Lots to explore. You change into different elemental beings to interact with the environment. It can get a little tricky but the map helps out ...showing the different locations based on which being interacts there. Such a unique and clever game. Very immersive and peaceful. Loved it! Thank you!
Love the concept, the colors and moods! Puzzles were challenging enough, with clues offering the solution. There is a hint system and maps as the worlds can get confusing as to what was where. Just a beautiful game all in all!
I enjoyed the navigation which was dependent upon shape-shifting. Also the puzzles and the hints themselves were fairly challenging. Thank you!
I admit I’m not all that far in the game, but I’m enjoying it so far. However, trying to solve puzzles in bird form is making me dizzy from the bobbing of the screen. I don’t typically get motion sick from games so I was surprised! Would it be possible to add an option to turn the screen movement off while in bird form?
I bought this game today and enjoy it. Think I’m near the end of the game. Had to use the hints a couple of times.
Great game! I’m looking forward to the next one.
Love the Panmorphia games and this one did not disappoint!
