Our Expert Score

85/100

PAW Patrol Rescue World is perhaps the best examples of a licensed property done right for the preschool demographic. Unlike many children's games that are cluttered with confusing menus and aggressive ads, Budge Studios has created a safe, 'open-world lite' experience that is intuitive for toddlers. The tasks—like putting out fires with Marshall or rescuing kittens with Chase—are simple enough to be rewarding but structured enough to teach basic problem-solving skills.

The production value is high, featuring the actual voices and vehicles from the show, which makes the experience feel authentic for young fans. The inclusion of special events like 'Mighty Pups' keeps the content fresh. While it is a 'freemium' title, the free-to-play areas of Adventure Bay are generous enough to let a child decide if they like the game before parents commit to the pup packs or subscriptions. It’s a gentle, educational, and genuinely fun introduction to gaming.

Scam

Worst game for kids and a total scam. After subscribing and paying $10 a month you have extremely limited access to the game and additional money and subscriptions are required. I’ve honestly never seen anything more ridiculous. There is a constant peppering of ads even as a paid subscriber and they are constantly trying to swindle more money out of you. When you subscribe you only have access to 2 characters, (Chase and Sky) and you have to pay $10 per additional character. Additionally, with the $10 per month subscription you only have access to 5-6 sections of the game and have to pay for additional access. My 4 year old was bored after a day and cried when he realized he couldn’t access everything. Total scam!

Three words BEST GAME EVER. I love this game so what if some stuff you can’t get there is still so much better things that you do have. For example, the farm you have, the HQ you have, the bakery or whatever it’s called you have, the play ground or dog park you have, and whatever the other thing is called you have and so like I said at the beginning, so what is some stuff you can’t get there is still so much better things you have that you can play with like at the dog park playground you can wrestle you can tug-of-war you can go on slides you can do so much stuff on the farm. You can see chickens and cows and stuff at the bakery, do you see lots of stuff same with HQ you can see lots of stuff and like the other thing I said whatever it’s called there’s so much stuff you can see so what if you don’t have everything in the game at least you have some stuff and that’s all that matters cause At least there’s just not one thing that you have there’s more that you have been just one thing and that’s better than nothing so I’ll get this game five stars if there were more stars, I would probably click on 20 or 50 for the rating I click every single star because I love this game and like I said at the very beginning three words BEST GAME EVER. #2Game.

What ever happened to skill based games?!?

Game creators today only care about maximizing profits rather than making games enjoyable and skill based to where your abilities and intellect in-game determine what you unlock and the amount of xp and in-game currency you obtain. Now they try to make money off of you however they can, and target heavily on children games and apps. Ad after ad, pay to unlock this or that so you can progress in the game..? This teaches kids that you have to use money and pay for things to get ahead in games, and in translation, pay in real life as well. This style of gaming also allows wealthy children to have a huge advantage in games in many areas. I hope whoever gets this game understands you can only play as skye and chase. After that, there is no unlocking anything in the game unless you pay money for it. Also while your child is playing, be aware that after any task is complete, there will be ads. This is not how gaming should be whatsoever. One time payment of the disc or game, to then developing your skills and knowledge of the game as a means to unlocking characters or maps or places or beating the game in general is the only way gaming should be. Use this paw patrol game and it’s pay to play and unlock formatting to teach your children not to fall for these marketing scams. No game should allow an advantage to players or streamers based off of how much money they spend on the game.

Really paw patrol why?

Obviously a hugely famous cartoon and movie just ask for money the whole time are you can’t unlock new things so nobody likes the game here because it’s boring and only can play a little bit. Why do we need to pay for subscriptions for things? This is nuts every kids game I’m new to the toddler game thing I play apps all the time that never ask me to pay a subscription. If you want someone to buy it, why not just make it a price that’s reasonable of one time payment. If you add more onto the game, sell it as another game or at least say, this is a subscription base game if you actually wanna play it you’re gonna have to pay for it for the duration of the game you’ll never own it you’re just gonna pay to use it and see a bunch of ads for a bunch more apps just like it. And actual real commercials and stuff. I miss the way it was but that’s how everything goes. It’s fine and then it gets ruined by money, hungry subscriptions, and ads for Barbies and chewing gum. My son loves it but I’m deleting it. Can’t we put subscription games in their own category. If I want to buy it I willSaying that it’s free is almost lying it’s misleadingIn app purchases, or one thing you don’t have to buy them. A subscription you have to pay to play the game and then pay more to continue to pay the game that you’re paying to play ridiculous.

Biggest scam ever

My daughter is obsessed with Paw Patrol, and I ended up finding this game on the App Store for free. I already assumed it would have micro transactions, but this is literally absurd. You can’t play for more than 10 seconds without getting a full screen time delayed ad about something you have to pay for, or another game this shady trash company made. Instead of just paying 10 dollars for the full game with all the characters, they want you to pay 10 dollars for a single new character to play as. Right after you close out of one ad, another will pop up telling you to unlock this or that, you have to pay to go to this area or pay to do this mission only doable by paying for another pup you don’t have. This has to be the biggest scam game I’ve ever seen. It’s really a shame too, it seems like a pretty well put together game and has a lot to offer from the show. Handing this to a child so they can be bombarded by ads to do basically anything other than use Chase or Sky and stuck to such a small area really irks me. Shame on these developers for trying to get one over on innocent children and hiding behind some slime ball ad spam where they try to get some unsuspecting kid to send them 10 dollar fees without their parents consent. I wish they would remove this from the App Store completely.

Fun for kid, painful for parents

This game is a hit with my child, she loves the characters/graphics/things to do. Unfortunately it’s the prime example of predatory advertising towards children. I find it disturbing your game is designed for 3-7 year olds and every touch or turn prompts a “you need to buy this character to unlock this feature”. These options shouldn’t be an in game prompt it should be directed at parents and only parents in a separate section of the settings. Also I get that you need to pay your artists and IT people but it’s ridiculous that such a basic game when all features are unlocked cost over $100 and I’m sure that price will continue to rise when wildcat and Rex and Zumba are released. The fact I had to pay for “Dino character skins” when all the characters were already purchased on the other section also seems incredibly shady especially when the new features can be beaten in 30 minutes of playing. In all the game is fun for kids and well designed….but the price gouging and predatory advertising has left a sour taste in our mouths…this will be the last paw patrol related expense we make.

Kid friendly but every corner comes w BIG price tag

This game is adorable. My three year old handles it well and is becoming actually really good but i am giving 3 stars because you have to spend $25 to unlock the entire paw patrol group- I mean come on it’s a paw patrol game and you can’t use all the pups? That should be standard it’s well in name not call paw patrol duo (you only get Sky and Chase to use) but once you spend that you still get hit with large prices (9.99) to unlock Everest and her game area, the Dino area has all locked features and guess how much? That’s right $9.99. And that’s to use pups you already paid for in Main area. I mean come on that’s more expensive than most features, unlocks in all toddler games I have seen. I feel they know some parents will drop money to make the little ones happy and I feel like if they lowered these prices I would happily purchase all the things to open up the options. Anyone heard of $4.99 app in game purchases anymore?

Best paw patrol game ever! I have a few suggestions

This paw patrol game is so kid friendly! It has all the your favorite pups! I know we can only play as Chase & Skye but can you please make an update where you unlock all the pups? So you can have Marshall Rubble Chase Rocky Zumba & Skye on your team!!!! Also can you make all the other pups on the game free? I don’t like it that it cost money!!! It’s a lovely kids game but please please make the pups free in your next update! Please update it’s actually a bit boring because you can only play with Skye and chase! Please update! Thank you for making a game that is safe and kid- friendly that kids can enjoy!!! One more thing: can you make new missions? Please? It’s a bit boring doing the same missions over and over again Keep Up The Good Work! Bye
