- UI fix for purchasing menu
Orijinz is the digital version of the popular card game that challenges your knowledge of the English language. Do you know why we say 'Bite the Bullet' or 'Break the Ice'? Players read a fascinating backstory and must guess the corresponding phrase. It’s an educational and entertaining trivia experience for all ages.
Hundreds of phrases and origins
Multiple difficulty levels
Great for family game nights
Simple, easy-to-use interface
Choose 'Party Mode' to play with a group. One person reads the origin, and everyone else competes to shout out the correct phrase first.
In Solo Mode, you can flip through cards at your own pace to learn the strange and often funny histories of everyday words.
The app includes several hundred phrases, with expansion packs available for even more trivia.
Orijinz is a terrific opportunity for learning and fun! As a bonafide member of really old people, Orinjinz its a such a good way to improve memory. I’ve always loved words and am an avid reader and these phrases and words are presented in such interesting ways. When I first started using Orijinz, there was a tiny glitch. I contacted Brad at Orijinz and he got back to me very quickly (within the hour) and fixed the problem. I highly recommend this program and the service that comes with it! Sally Enright Oldie Goldie
Fun, educational, and entertaining. Caution don’t use when you have other things to do as it can be …”just one more” and same for restricting children's use times
Great game to play at your family events! Learn the origin of words and test your memory. We laugh and learn when we play!
Yesterday, I bought six packs to play with. Today, single player isn’t showing any of my new packs, and multiplayer is just flat out broken. Every time I click multiplayer, it just shows a white screen. I would request a refund, but Apple won’t let me. Waste of money, waste of time!
love this game, i find etymology and word origins so interesting and there's so many fascinating origin stories that i didn't know about at all! i've learned a lot playing this and the price for more cards is pretty reasonable. definitely recommend!
Great brain game, fun, fascinating, and a great way to get the crowd involved!!!
The third card I encountered was “limelight.” The game cheerfully informed me that this came from the process of “burning“ lime or calcium oxide. Lime is already rather thoroughly burnt, as a high school education in chemistry will inform one. When lime is heated intensely, it will undergo two different kinds of luminescence, emitting light, but not “burning.”
