Optical Inquisitor 17 is a stylish, 1980s-themed sniper game that prioritizes creative problem-solving over simple twitch reflexes. You play as Tommy, a former hitman out for revenge after being betrayed and spending eight years in prison. The aesthetic is striking, using a silhouette art style combined with neon accents that perfectly captures a gritty, retro-noir atmosphere.
What sets this apart from typical sniper titles is the physics-based interaction. You aren't just clicking heads; you're often manipulating the environment to make 'accidents' happen, such as shooting a crane cable or timed machinery. Between missions, you can upgrade your rifle and even engage in side activities like underground gambling or building your own weapons. It’s a dark, atmospheric journey that feels much more personal and mechanically deep than your average mobile shooter.
Stunning 1980s retro-noir aesthetic
Physics-based kill scenarios
Full weapon assembly and customization
Engaging revenge-driven storyline
Mini-games and side missions
Look for environmental triggers like hanging crates, explosive barrels, or electrical boxes. Many targets are protected by glass or armor, requiring you to cause 'accidental' deaths rather than direct shots.
Earn money from successful hits to buy new scopes, silencers, and barrels. Assemble your own custom rifle to handle higher-wind conditions and longer distances in the later chapters.
No, the main campaign is playable offline.
This is solid, sniping experience. You can get the censored version free, but it is worth the extra dollar to get the uncensored version and see all the brains blood and mess that your bullets cause. You also get a free DLC simply for rating the game, whether you like the game or not. All in an effort so that the creators can keep creating free extra levels. Good shooting, fun story, very cool cinematics. 10 out of 10, highly suggest.
This magnificent game involves amazing sniper mechanics such as wind and distance. There is even more then just snipers as there is multiple other activities such as: interrogations, racing and gambling. The brutal yet awesome physics have fir some epic moments. The plot is somewhat basic except for the ending which is heart wrenching. This is overall make it the best sniper game I have played till this day.
Required to rate an app at 5 stars after you've already paid for it is a little cheesy. I will say that the game is VERY fun and the physics are really accurate. I enjoyed it, however if this review doesn't unlock new levels as promised, I will be writing a MUCH DIFFERENT review.
I love this game and the ending is great as well as the physics but I wish there were more missions or some Thing like that because I finished the game In 10 minutes and after the ending you can’t do anything
I was looking for a game like "Hitman Sniper" and it recommended me this. Gotta say it did not disappoint amazing synth soundtrack. Never really appreciated stick animation until this game.. Sad but true. Now go play it can be graphic but come on they're just sticks or peps sake. 🤷🏼♀️
I like his phone it’s fast it’s funny and then the guys getting any blows up and it’s better than you. This game is better than you.
Used to play this game when I was much younger and it still holds up please make a second one this is by far the companies best game.
The game is fun and just has a few points where you get hard things but I enjoy the game a lot. It’s a little short in my opinion but it’s enjoyable and I’ll play it multiple times.
Optical Inquisitor, a retro stick figure revenge sniper game, is one of the strangest mobile titles I've played in quite a while.
