Resolved an issue where the game would crash in certain languages.
O2Jam is a nostalgic trip for anyone who played the original PC rhythm games in the early 2000s. This mobile version successfully translates that high-speed, multi-lane note-tapping to the touch screen. The song library is massive, covering everything from classical remixes to high-bpm K-Pop and electronic tracks. The 'Long Note' mechanics are particularly well-tuned, requiring a steady hand while other notes fly by.
While the UI feels a bit dated compared to modern rhythm games like Arcaea or Cytus, the core gameplay is rock solid. It’s a pure skill test; there are no 'gacha' characters that boost your score—it's just you and the music. For rhythm game purists who want a traditional 4-key or 7-key experience, O2Jam remains a top-tier choice.
Multiple key modes (2, 4, 5-key)
Vast library of original music
Real-time global rankings
Customizable skins and note styles
Offline play available for downloaded songs
If notes feel too cluttered, increase the 'Note Speed' in settings. While it looks faster, it spreads the notes out, making it easier to read complex patterns.
Use the practice feature to slow down difficult sections of a song. Mastering a 7-key song at 0.5x speed is the best way to build muscle memory.
Yes, every song has Easy, Normal, and Hard modes, plus the option to change the number of keys.
I wish you could still play in portrait mode rather than strictly landscape. I also don’t like how the songs are locked behind a subscription paywall now instead of using coins to play songs. I still love this game though. I used to play it a lot many years ago.
Honestly, I can’t understand why O2jam company developed this new app to replace the previous one. Although the new UI design may look fancy, but actually the experience is not as good as the previous version. The quality of music is another thing that doesn’t make sense. Songs just don’t play in a normal sound effects. It is ironic that the most nature music is the background music. I’ve been playing this game for more than 5 years and I’m really happy to see it back to IOS platform. But please, don’t disappoint the fans. They love this game!
I love o2jam the original on pc, was just looking for old games than i saw i could get on ipad, ok is a little too much charge for the base game and then for the subscription to have access of all songs, it would be better if was free and with like package 1 and 2 and subscription for the songs, other thing is that you should add a keyboard support, now with the ipads pro and to many things making people buy a keyboard case, this game would be 5star for me if it had a keyboard support
I loved o2jam and o2jam u. This app has a lot of potential with a few fixes. First certain song charts aren’t synced to the music such as heart beating and the love. This diminishes from the experience. Second the song titles don’t have music previews so you can’t tell what the song will be like Finally the game needs a harder judgement setting so it is harder to play notes perfectly almost all the time. Once those are fixed the game will definitely deserve 5 stars. What is great so far is the offline play, the music, and the price of the subscription which is totally worth it once the game gets slightly modified and fixed. Good luck and keep up the good work.
I love this game ever since it was on PC, this was my childhood, love this too on the phone and was sad when it was taken away from the app store now i’m actually glad its back and willing to pay for subscription only if it supports larger iPhone resolution line the iPhone X and above.
I remember this game being pulled from the App Store a few years ago and was devastated, this and DjMax probably have some of my favorite song lists. Happy to see it back with a new UI overhaul as well. Bring it to nintendo switch with controller support next!
This game brings back my childhood but can we get an update from this game? It hasn’t been updated for awhile. A lot of people still plays this game including people with subscriptions. Thanks
Love how this game brings back nostalgia moments from back then playing on PC. Wish they allow 7 key (just like PC version) when connect IPad to a keyboard. Would love to play the same beats and drops like the PC version. But anyway thanks for bringing this back to live :) <3
