Nexus War is a visually stunning entry into the 4X mobile strategy genre that manages to stand out through its unique 'multi-world' premise. As an expert in RTS and kingdom-builders, I was particularly impressed by the hero designs and the verticality of the world map. Instead of the usual drab medieval setting, you're looking at a high-fantasy/sci-fi hybrid that is genuinely beautiful to explore. The combat animations are far beyond what you usually see in 'tap-to-attack' territory.
The strategic depth comes from the 'Nexus' itself—a shared hub where the game's politics truly happen. The alliance system is robust, and the mid-game transition from simple resource gathering to massive territory wars feels earned and intense. While the gacha mechanics for heroes are present, the tactical flexibility provided by troop compositions means that a clever player can still outmaneuver a high-spender. It’s a polished, ambitious, and deeply addictive strategy experience that respects the complexity of the genre.
Massive seamless open world
Deep hero collection and progression
Real-time strategic territory warfare
Four unique races with distinct tech trees
Don't just pick your highest-level heroes. Look for elemental and class synergies. A tank-class hero paired with a high-damage mage often performs better against neutral mobs than two high-damage heroes without a frontline.
Expansion should be a team effort. Coordinate with your alliance to build 'Fortresses' that extend your influence. Capturing a resource hub within your territory grants a permanent production boost to every member of your alliance.
While in-app purchases can accelerate growth, the outcome of major wars is determined by alliance coordination, positioning, and tactical troop counters.
Nexus War is one of those games that simply hits every right note. When I had initially downloaded the game, I didn’t expect the level of quality and passion the game seemed to have put in it. For an MMO the world building, voice acting, and story is incredible. Nexus War is your classic kingdom building and alliance game, however the level of detail from every step truly makes the game feel alive. The alliance systems are very well done, the general gameplay feels rewarding and keeps you captivated, The game gives you plenty of ways to acquire premium currency, and for a game that’s only begun it’s life cycle, it has had a great launch and a promising future. Nexus War is a game made with quality and passion in mind. I really believe that most can attest that from the game itself. For those reasons, Nexus War is a 5/5 for me.
Nexus War contains gameplay similar to the average strategy game. The defining factor is your flying boat used to represent squads. Fighting enemies on the map is pretty standard. The most jarring gameplay shows when farming other players. While defending, troops will only fight for their home if they get a ticket to the flying boat. If they do not get a seat on the boat, they take the day off and watch the city burn. It is amusing to attack a player with twice as many troops as you but they did not upgrade a hero, stationed on the boat, enough to strengthen the size of their squad. This allows you to keep funneling attacks because the number of troops on the defending flying boat do not increase and your victory is guaranteed every attack. As long as your flying boat is bigger than the defenders, you can farm the defender all day. Have not seen a reliable way around this and it becomes pretty telling when you get big enough to wipe out entire clans whose flying boats are not big enough combined to meet the size of your cooler, larger flying boat. Very strange defense mechanic but I just throw up a shield 3 minutes after farming and no one can touch me anyway.
I played Chief Almighty for years, and got tired of the endless grind and extremely expensive packs. Same scenario applied to Grand Mafia. I decided to try this one out, and I have to admit they’ve done a great job. Graphics are superb, UI elements are neatly placed, events are fun and engaging, and rewards like frames, base skins, and heroes can be obtained rather than having to spend $1,000 just for a base skin. My only complaint is the UI lags in some instances, such as claiming rare chest gifts in the Alliance (maybe add a “claim all” on the “rare” tab as well). Other than that, I highly recommend trying this. The theme of the game was a little hard for me to get into at first, but now I can’t put the game down. Fantastic job devs!
Gameplay: The gameplay in Nexus War is undeniably engaging. Players can complete quests and engage in intense battles. The graphics are top-notch, immersing players in a captivating interstellar experience. The progression system keeps you hooked as you level up your spaceship, armies, and robots and unlock new abilities. There’s plenty of content to keep you entertained for hours. Real-life money: Here’s where things get tricky. While the game is free to download and play, it heavily relies on in-app purchases to progress smoothly. You can buy in-game currency to upgrade your spaceship, purchase boosters, and speed up progress. The game offers tempting bundles and promotions, which can quickly add up if you’re not careful. It’s possible to enjoy the game without spending a dime, but expect slower progress and more challenging battles. Overall: The game is undoubtedly a fun and visually stunning game that offers a rich gaming experience. However, players should be aware that progressing quickly and staying competitive often involves spending real money. If you’re willing to take it slow and don’t mind the grind, it’s possible to enjoy this game without breaking the bank. So, whether you’re a casual gamer or a hardcore space enthusiast, the game has something to offer, but be prepared for some financial considerations along the way.
This game is a great game. It really does a good job at kingdom simulation and it’s system is great where you can rule or be a part of an alliance however you want. But people take this VERY seriously, and will drop thousands of dollars to boost their power to the highest. Your experience will depend on the server you’re in. If you’re in a server that tries its best to establish peaceful relations, then everything will be good. However you may end up with alliances that want nothing more than territorial domination, and unless you drop more money than they do, they will intimidate you into submission or burn your entire alliance to the ground. Diplomacy is a great tool to succeeding here, or at any rate surviving. You better either be rich, or a very good negotiator. Otherwise you're not gonna have a fun time.
I was looking through the pictures of this game and saw some familiar creatures. One was the aliens that where blueish and had the space ships and they looked like something in a group called the Protoss. Then I saw the biological ones with wings and saw that was a mutalisk in a group called the Zerg. These are both things from one of my favorite game called StarCraft. I didn’t look enough to see if this game was made by the same people who made StarCraft but other than that I think this looked like a great game and I would love playing it if it wasn’t one of those games where you send them using the big map and they take for ever to get to where they need to be.
I am a long time player and have my account over 2.5mill in power. I paid here and there for little packs to help with time based events like (Clash). I really love the concept, the art, cutscenes are all beautiful but there are some sad truths. You virtually can buy your way to the top with boosters for army, upgrades, etc. The cosmetics are amazing but unobtainable for F2P players unless you get a little 7 day trial one which essentially just makes you sad when it’s done for lol Overall fun while it lasts until you hit the pay wall or aren’t apart of a major clan that runs the server you’re in. Good luck building a new alliance against the monstrous ones that have been there for years. Anyways just give it a try if you are into rts games with time walls and enjoy emptying your bank for virtual bliss.
I have been playing this game for about a good year so fin can say so and I have spent a lot of money in it but recently I made a purchase and did not receive the perks I had to get from the pack. I reached out to customer service and also to my VIP customer support but got told by customer service that I had not purchased anything even tho I send them my screenshot of payment with date, time and also receipt number. I pretty much got told to fk off and I asked for a refund and got told no now the VIP service told me pretty much the same thing so I requested my refund from apple and got but as soon as I got the refund the game froze my account and does not reply to my emails at all. How can yall request for me to make a payment for something I never received in the first place. This is very much gives you and idea that they don’t care about their customers they just want your money at all cost.
