Our Expert Score

85/100

My Garden Tale is an absolute delight for fans of the merge genre. While the 'restore the estate' premise is a familiar one, the execution here is what sets it apart. The art style is lush and incredibly vibrant; every flower you bloom and every tool you merge looks hand-crafted. It has that 'just one more merge' quality that makes hours disappear. The story is surprisingly touching, too—uncovering the family secrets hidden in the overgrown corners of the garden actually kept me invested in the gameplay.

What I found most refreshing was the pacing. Unlike many free-to-play puzzle games that hit you with a massive paywall early on, My Garden Tale feels fair. You can genuinely make a lot of progress without spending a dime. The 'Merge, Match, and Grow' loop is incredibly satisfying, especially when you finally unlock a high-level item like the grand fountain or a rare orchid. It’s a peaceful, low-stress experience that serves as a perfect digital getaway. If you need a game to decompress with after a long day, this is the one.

But gotta have like other options to create like our own different kind of flowers like ask for which kinds because I think most of mine would be lots of purple, blue,Pink, red and it would be like a giant gift basket mostly but we get to create like our own gift basket of like cute characters or the ones that we wanna create if that makes sense like orange in the flowers, if that makes sense plus if we could do that then I think that I would make this game a lot better, but I’d still give it a five and also just because like, mostly just for that matter and also for so many other different character characters even ones that people like, never know about or like even just a mystery bouquet 💐 with like a mystery box of the amazing digital circus if that makes sense but anyway that’s beyond the

Flower Fairy is a paywall

Can’t say I’ve played a game that required money for one of the game modes. The flower fairy mode is extremely confusing, but what Ive figured out is that it forces you to spend money to partake in it because you have to win the jackpot seed/flower. It gives you access to a special currency and shop for rare flowers and I suppose other items. The current event is the “Reedy Moon A Boat at Rest”. The mercy system is 300 draws for this. Say what?! I don’t mind spending money at all but this feels like a mode only attractive to whales. Aka people who spend LOTS of money in game via micro transactions. Just to give further context, the Reedy Moon flower has to be planted next to another flower in order to attract fairies. I’m not sure how to acquire the 2nd special flowers you need as I don’t have them yet, but the purpose is to attract flower fairies. The chance to *catch* a fairy is extremely low. Like this is the elite of the elite. This greed is unappealing and it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. The rest of the game is fun/fine. However the guild Comp Boat Race is another questionable area. Members have to do quests to help their guild progress and my research was half or almost half are put behind a pay wall. Ok Sure just do the other quests and yeah, ok, I suppose I would if there were any to do because they are all already taken by other people. 🤔

Fun but needs some tweaks

The game is fun and I love the chance of winning actual flowers. Actually made me happy when mine showed up. The only downsides for far is a friend limit cap, either increase it a lot or get rid of it please. The major issue I have, and many others, is the in app purchases. Everything cost so much whether is in app money systems or actual money to pay for certain items such as the in app currency forms, there’s a few, or for flowers if you want the limited marked flowers. The prices on all currency forms needs to be lowered a lot. I don’t mind spending a little money here and there in apps I like but this adds up fast and you really have to limit what you do/get. Because of this I’m tempted to leave the game rather than stay and have to delete friends to get others that have the flowers I want/need or pay a ton to own them myself. If you want the flower fairy it’s roughly $150 usd and that’s just the current flower fairy. It’s around the same price for each new one if you want more than one. And they’re on short rotations so you can’t really spread it out.

The ad and game are two totally different games. I’ve been playing for two months now and have not won the chance for free flowers . I did get a month free of VIP privileges bc I participated in their daily live TikTok where they talk about the game and give out redemption codes for in game perks and currency. There’s a week long guild “war” you participate in to get better rewards as the guild progress in the leagues. They are opening up servers what seems like daily but we can participate in one big world chat. There’s other little mini games to play. Just buyer beware of the flowers you have to buy with real money. For the most part the irl money to in game reward system is okay. But the cute flowers you want gonna have to pay. So far it’s a cute game, if you’re a fan of those historical stories where you read on those reading platforms here’s your place. The world chat has been low bickering and being outright rude. It’s very chill. It’s not a perfect game but it’s relaxing and easy to play.

I won FREE long stem different color roses

~Day two playing this game and I won beautiful long steam roses! I had them sent to my daughter. They only ask me for the person name and address. That was it. FREE! NO card information and they arrived within a couple of days. FREE beautiful flowers. (They do give you a window) ~You don’t need money to enjoy the game. I like to at the beginning of the month buy the VIP pass and it’s good for the entire month. ~This game also teaches you how to cultivate and grow your own flowers. I’ve learned so much and I’ll have beautiful sunflowers and daisies this summer! ~I’m having a little bit of an issue, I am having trouble when I share my FB to the game it freezes. I’m missing out on a lot of things that I should be receiving. Still haven’t received anything from tech support yet regarding this issue. ~The only other thing that I don’t like is that I’m in the USA and I have to stay up until midnight to claim daily check in’s. ~I didn’t think that this was going to work. I got 100% FREE long stem color roses. It’s been three weeks now and they are sitting on my daughters desk and they look like they were just delivered. The sweet smell fills the room and hallway. ~This is a 5 star game!

absolutely love this game. It’s incredibly calming and relaxing, and it’s become one of my favorite ways to unwind. The visuals are beautiful, the gameplay is smooth, and it’s genuinely fun without feeling stressful or overwhelming. I really enjoy how peaceful the experience is it puts me in such a good mood every time I play. That said, I do wish there were a way to actually win real flowers directly instead of having to level up so much to get them. It would make the rewards feel even more exciting and motivating, especially for players who enjoy collecting and decorating. Having more chances to earn flowers naturally through gameplay would take this game to the next level. Overall, this is still a wonderful game that I truly enjoy and would recommend to anyone looking for something soothing and fun. With a few small improvements to the reward system, it could be absolutely perfect 💐✨

Fun game but...

If you're looking to farm some cute little flowers, it's a good game. There's a ton to choose from, many of which are free and acquired via "grind". This is getting 2 stars from me though because how heavily it pushes spendy packs for everything. Want flower fairies? It's $150 USD MONTHLY to get one. That's not including the blind boxes required to actually unlock those fairies. Need ingots (in-game currency) to draw "free" flowers from events or purchase cultivating supplies? You don't get very much unless you either save for months or buy the actual ingot packs with real money. Which, again, are extremely expensive and don't get far. It would be nice if the devs were a bit more realistic with their pricing and realise it makes their game quickly not so fun. Even their guild quests for boat comps have all the highest rewarding quests where you HAVE to buy the newest flowers with actual money to complete them. If you aren't the P2P type, this isn't the game for you.

At first I really loved it. Unlocking flower types, cultivating them, planting and harvesting them. I loved arranging bouquets. The art style is really pretty. The main story is cool and purposeful. However, it quickly becomes apparent that you must spend real money or become bored. The amount of materials you need to unlock new flowers is crazy high. Once you unlock 10-15 flower types the rest of them require many resources to unlock. I was on bed rest logging in every hour and getting one or two resources needed for one flower. When that flower needs over a hundred resources that is just too long. Coupled with the fact that there are over 50 flowers… we’re talking years to unlock. Arranging bouquets gives you a different currency that you can spend in a store to get blueprints for flowers (you must then unlock them with the resources mentioned above) and you get 1-3 of that currency. Flower blueprints cost 3,000 plus to get. And you don’t even get to use the flower then cause you still have to unlock it. It’s all just too extreme. I play enough phone games to recognize a balance with micro transactions. This is not it unfortunately. It has potential but everything is limited to how much money you want to spend out of your pocket.
