When I tilt screen the bidding chart no longer comes up.
Update...this game has been updated and no matter how many times you click on the disabled tips button, once you start the game again the tips come back. Then when I change the settings to move the game from normal to fast that only lasts for that time while the games open when I go to open it back up again later it's back to the normal speed. I get that they are not probably going to be making any corrections but I sure wish that they would. ——————— This is a great game and excellent alternative for Rook, which doesn't seem to yet be available as a computer/ipad game. The only downside I've come across is that the game sometimes ends before any player reaches 400 points (my setting). Most recently for me the high score was 378 when the game ended. Please fix!
If you enjoy trick-taking card games like Hearts, Spades, Bridge, or Wizard, you will be in heaven with Mü. With its slick, faithful, and feature-chocked adaptation of Frank Nestel's clever rule set, it is obvious that this game was a labor of love for developer Steve Blanding. Available in the physical world in the card game collections Mü & More and Mü & Lots More (both highly rated on BoardGameGeek), Mü offers a depth of strategy almost unheard of in card games. So much so that even with a thorough tutorial, I would highly recommend reading the in-game manual in its entirety. One huge point in favor of this particular adaptation is the ability to play with up to five other local users through Bluetooth. Mr. Blanding has devised a way around the typical two-player limit to such wireless communication, one that I hope other developers will utilize in the future. Mü also saves automatically and transparently at every turn, a necessary feature for a longer game such as this. And I have to admit that another point in favor of this app is that the game plays in portrait orientation, though one can turn his/her device on its side to view the detailed scoring charts. If you carry any fondness at all for card games, you owe it to yourself to give this app a try. It will provide you with countless hours of enjoyment for a mere pittance, whether you play it alone or with friends.
I wrote the developer an email, but the biggest flaw is that the game plays as if everyone (AI) can see each other’s cards. Makes it unplayable.
When I updated for iOS 17, the app stopped working, are there plans to update it?
The engine for this game is full of misplays. It takes a great game ruins it by making bad plays.
This is not a mindless bird-thrower game to while away the hours. It's a first-class thinking game that will challenge you at every turn. The trump rules are odd and take a little time to get used to. I played the first couple games getting a hint on every play and had no idea why the suggestion was strong or weak. But when it fell into place in my head, it was beautiful. I play this all the time now, grabbing a round or two if I have a few minutes. An excellent game and perfectly suited for the Ipod. My only beef is a small one. Sometimes when I try to tap a card on the left side of a full hand, I'll accidentally hit the trash can instead and it'll ask if I want a new game. I can always back out of it, but it's a minor annoyance.
I was only slightly familiar with Mu when I started playing the game, but I was familiar with other trick-taking card games so I picked it up quickly. The game is fun, but challenging -- certainly no walk in the park for a beginner. But, the in-game helps re-inforced what I had learned and helped the game quickly become something I enjoy playing. This app has simple and straightforward UI elements, which quickly fade into the background as you focus on the play of the game. The idea to shake the phone for a hint is clever, and great if you feel stuck in the game. Surprising even myself, I did finally win a game, and was able to see the fireworks for my victory, and they were a nice touch as well.
