Mr. Hero is a delightful departure from the standard gritty idle RPGs. The art style is whimsical and humorous, featuring a 'hero' who looks more like a regular guy in a costume. The core gameplay involves tapping to defeat monsters and using the loot to upgrade your gear and skills. It’s perfect for 'lazy' gaming where you want to see numbers go up without constant stress.

What kept me hooked was the clever gear system. As you upgrade, your character’s appearance changes in funny ways. The 'idle' aspect is well-tuned—you actually make significant progress while the app is closed. It’s lighthearted, charming, and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is exactly what a mobile RPG should be.

In my opinion, this game is peak. This is because unlike other idle games, this one doesn’t show you a thousand differeny events that stop you from playing the actual game. Its quite simple, and I love it!

The game is grindy and enjoyable if you like the grind. They offer the ability to get in game currency called gems without watching ads if you pay $7.99. This also gives you buddy and you can pay $22 and up to increase these buffs. However, they removed the free gem link for videos and her yet to return the link meaning farming free gems with the P2W method doesn’t work. All in all a cool game and pretty fun if you like grinding and memeish looking characters with cool weapons. However, I feel like they should reimburse people with gems if they paid for the no ad feature. Really annoying to have tons of hours without being able to receive gems without ads or even being able to watch ads for them.

If the game didn’t crash every 2-3 minutes I’d give this 5*, however… in order to play the game I have to continually close, and re-open the game; which typically causes a rollback of half the progress I just made before the game crashed… I’ve uninstalled and re-installed, and the error still continues. Please fix this so I can give this game a better rating! ***EDIT*** it seems to happen when auto battle is on

There’s some things I don’t like about it it makes my phone almost overheat when it’s very very fun to play but there could be a few more tweaks and stuff cause it’s super easy to get high level I’m almost already like a god level like I am very very good at the game so maybe make it a little harder it would be a better game but so far pretty fun

Lack of progression u less you purchase IAP

There is no real progression from actually grinding since the gem income is extremely low. There is no way to “save up” gems. Gold income is nonexistent when you can’t kill mobs fast enough. Actual player base is pretty low also. Discord is pretty dead. Don’t expect the gem income problem to be solved. Honestly, better options available on the AppStore like Blade Idle.

Progression slows down

Like most games it shouldn’t be easy all the time, but after a while you lose interest in playing if you can’t move up but once or twice through stages at a time. Gold gain slows severely and gems disappear easily when all you’re drawing are still A’s but have gear far above that.

You will literally hit a pay wall where your progression completely stops their is only pvp and one other dungeon you can do at this point and you don’t get enough currency daily to upgrade anything. Unless you want to invest a ton of money into it not worth the time. But up to that point was fun…
