Maze Man For Watch is a surprisingly faithful and addictive love letter to classic arcade maze runners, specifically designed for the constraints of a wrist-worn device. As an expert in mobile and wearable gaming, I find the translation of the 'Pac-Man' style formula to the Apple Watch to be one of the more successful attempts at making wrist-gaming viable. The controls are handled through intuitive swipes to change direction, which feels responsive even on the smaller screen. The core loop—collecting all coins while dodging relentless ghosts—is a timeless mechanic that fits perfectly into the 30-second to 1-minute play sessions typical of wearable usage.
While the concept is retro, the execution offers enough modern polish to keep it interesting. With over 10 unique levels to discover, the game avoids the pitfall of being a one-trick pony. The inclusion of global leaderboards adds a much-needed layer of replayability, turning a simple distraction into a competitive pursuit. It isn't a deep narrative experience, but as a technical showcase of what can be done on watchOS, it’s a must-have for anyone looking to kill time without pulling out their phone.

To succeed in Maze Man, precision is key. Swipe in the direction you want to turn slightly before you reach the intersection to ensure Maze Man doesn't stop or stutter. Focus on clearing one quadrant of the maze at a time to minimize backtracking near ghosts.
The game utilizes a top-down perspective optimized for the Apple Watch screen. Ghosts move in semi-predictable patterns, allowing strategic players to bait them into one corner of the map before doubling back to clear the remaining coins.
While the app is installed via iPhone, the gameplay is fully supported natively on the Apple Watch (watchOS 3.1 or later).
