Netmarble has really outdone themselves with the visual presentation of MONGIL: STAR DIVE. It feels like playing through a high-budget anime. The monster designs are the standout feature—ranging from undeniably cute to genuinely intimidating—and the fact that you can 'tame' them in the wild adds a layer of excitement that most gacha-style RPGs lack.
The combat is flashy and fast-paced, but surprisingly easy to pick up. The tag-team system keeps things interesting by forcing you to manage three characters at once without it becoming overwhelming. I also appreciate the 'play at your own pace' philosophy; there’s plenty to do without feeling like you're falling behind a leaderboard or missing out on limited-time competitive events. It’s a polished, joyful experience for anyone who loves creature collection and action-adventure.
Stunning 3D anime-style graphics
Unique monster taming and collection system
Intuitive triple-tag team action combat
Vast world with diverse biomes to explore
Story-driven gameplay with no forced competition

Follow the main quest to meet Nyanners. When you encounter a wild monster, use your taming skill to bring it into your party. Each monster belongs to an element, so choose your team wisely for the best advantage in battle.
During combat, monitor your team's cooldowns. Tap a character portrait to swap them into the fight; this triggers a 'Tag Skill' that can deal massive damage or provide a buff. Experiment with different combinations to find the best synergy.

I’m a be completely honest I have played so many gotcha games Genshin Impact Honkai star rail tower of fantasy Duet Night Abyss, Wuthering Waves, ZZZ and so much more. This game is the most generous gotcha I have ever seen. whether you’re a whale a free to play or even a dolphin. Free to play players will be extremely happy. Dolphin players so monthly pass and update. Pass will be very, very happy and Wales will probably lose their minds. The gotcha does not have a 50-50. You were guaranteed to get that character every time at the pity of 90 which is better than any other Gacha game out there. Also, this game of stamina is very very free to play friendly. If you don’t wanna login every day, you don’t have to you can take this game at your pace. What an amazing first day global launch experience number of five stars earned five after one day of playing mind you I am a dolphin.
After everything I seen the game is just below average at best the animation is kinda boring if you don’t play on pc then your device will start to overheat it if you’re on phone it drains your battery the performance isn’t that great on mobile and most likely consoles as well but pc runs it fine the voice acting isn’t the best the transitions can be more smooth since it lags a bit no skip button you can burn though your resources quite fast certain features are behind a side quest so if you don’t do those then you’ll be in danger the grind to farm pulls is kinda boring as well since you don’t get that much unless you get many levels to claim a decent amount in the guild and claiming your adventure rank rewards all in one just to do a single multi which cost 1600 overall a lot of problems for both mobile and console and overall the game but unfortunately this game will get talked in a good way by content creators and have good reviews because people are never honest and don’t want to actually have developers improve their games which is just sad so far this game will last long unless they start working on improvements right away sometimes the characters won’t attack when fighting and you can get soft locked if you press to fast to skip the story and if you go to the quest menu screen during the same time then you’ll won’t be able to do anything but to close the app and when you do your ultimates if you get hit at the same frame the camera will zoom out so this needs to be fixed even though it is just a small bug that could happen at times so not really need much work around but yeah that’s my own experience and opinion but play the game for yourself and see how you enjoy it.
I’ll be honest, I had my reservations at first. When I heard about this I imagined a mediocre Pokemon clone, but it’s much better than I could’ve imagined! The combat system is complex, but still easy to pick up after a bit. The characters are fun and endearing, and the (Japanese) voice work CLEARLY has a lot of effort put into it. I was invested right away with probably the funniest game opening I’ve ever seen, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t cackling, and it takes a lot to get me to laugh out loud like that. Also, we can run SO FAST. It’s always been a pet peeve of mine in RPGs that characters just walk too slow. It’s niche and small but I adore it. The game also runs surprisingly smooth, I’m used to bigger games being a bit clunky on my phone. And of course the best part of the entire game is Nyanners, I should start a cult to worship the guy 🐈⬛
My iPad with only 3gb RAM and I am running @ iPadOS26, i get locked 60fps with vertical sync but @ max settings (everything set to very high), the jungle’s graphics is awsome. A game better than genshin. This game story is playful, fun, cute. It’s just 5.5gb rn. The grass sway according to our characters foot steps. Genshin impact’s grass is not this much detailed. no offense bout genshin. Also according to me this netmarble title is the most optimized version. When tried I play the seven deadly sins Y sins origins in my iPad 9, even in the lowest settings without combat instant crash. In mongil, combat alone resolution drops. Due to my 3gb RAM I guess. Good job devs. A 2019ch with 3gb RAM runs this game very well means you guys have optimised a lot. 5star review. Forgot to say, the cutscenes are awsome. Kinda matches PC level
I typically don’t play anime games. After a while, I lose interest. They either get repetitive, too complicated, and/or too simple. I loved this game because of how it has that feel of both Zelda and Pokémon. It keeps bringing me back, every time I finish a part of the game, I worry that I finished it, but it feels like it never ends (in a good way). 9.9/10 (9.9/10 only because there’s one bug that makes it a little difficult to progress at times. If you open your menu after finishing a quest or open it too many times in a row, your character will freeze and you will not be able to move or do anything until you load into a new zone or restart your game.)
when I began this game, I wasn’t expecting so much. The quality is nice considering for mobile, though what mass up for it is the amazing cutscenes. Compared to other games, the scenes of when characters talk doesn’t see like just NPC scenes, but actual anime dialogue scenes. Although for mobile, the movement and overall gameplay doesn’t feel exactly smooth. It’s good enough to be able to actually play, but I can for some improvements. Overall, I also found this game incredibly funny, and I adore the fact that we have a black cat companion. (I have a cat as well.) I hope to continue playing this game and see it improve.
i personally really like the game! the animation, design & landscape are all very nice. the character designs & some of the world build is a bit similar to a few other games but i assume they’re only inspired. my only problem with the game that it keeps lagging & kicking me out of the game! normally, i’d be okay with it since most high graphic or detailed games would lag my device but this game particularly only lets me play around for less than ten minutes before kicking me out. it gets pretty annoying especially in battle then taking a good minute to reload the game back up. for whatever reason, the game also only seems to kick me out when i’m being active. when i’m afk the game is still running fine. anyway, the voices of each character or npc are really good & love how expressive every character move within each animated cut scene instead of stiff or no movement at all. i get the game is new/released pretty recently so it’s understandable there would be some bugs & glitches there & here but i really hope this bug that i’ve been experiencing gets fixed because i’ve been really enjoying this game so far!
After giving this game honestly too much of my time, i found that the game is loaded with terrible RNG and low odds for progression compared to other gacha games. The amount of RNG regarding gear and monsterlings is so awful that I can’t recommend this game to a single person. To progress more steadily, you need to grind for at least 2 hours a day of just repetitively killing every overworld monster. Some other complains I have are: 1. The story becomes a more dramatic and generic save-the-world adventure past episode 2, breaking the fun and chill tone of episodes 1-2. 2. The game forces progression in a way that you need to be stronger in order to get stronger, with material farming locked behind progressing the quest which is locked behind beating a high level boss. 3. The whole combining monsterlings mechanic is frustrating because you need to grind RNG to get the monsterlings just to need more RNG for a 33% chance of combining it successfully however many times depending on the recipe. And, after all of that, you need more RNG for the traits on the monsterling to actually be good otherwise you start all over from the beginning of this RNG tree. 4. Obtaining gear sets and rolling gear stats are another RNG factor that I will just not even bother getting into. Overall, it has potential because the gameplay is fun just until RNG is forced onto you.
