Our Expert Score

71/100

Lucky Coins is a nostalgic take on the 'Coin Pusher' carnival classic. As an expert in casual arcade simulations, I find the physics here to be the real draw—the way the coins stack, slide, and occasionally tumble over the 'side gutters' feels very authentic to the real-world cabinets. It’s a low-pressure game that thrives on the anticipation of a big cascade.

The addition of 'Special Coins' and collectible prizes provides a nice sense of progression that a standard coin pusher lacks. While it can occasionally feel like a waiting game for your coin bank to refill, the excitement of dropping that one perfect coin that pushes a massive pile over the edge is undeniably satisfying. It’s a bright, colorful, and relaxing distraction that perfectly captures the 'casino-lite' energy of a seaside arcade without the real-world cost.

I have been the reigning all-time leader for the challenges for more than a year. Every now and then I learned new strategies to improve my score. I believe it is possible to reach 12,000 points. Need more players to keep me motivated!

Love all these games:)

This one is my favorite iPad game. I beat all of the challenges a long time ago, but I still like to play it.

I'm always impressed by the quality of apps from Donut Games, and I'm always excited to see a new update or a new game from them. If you enjoy Lucky Coins, check out some of their other games. Sunday Lawn, Spikey, and Chefs are three of my favorites. Graphics are excellent, and I find that the games tend to stay on my ipad longer than other games, because they're fun to keep coming back to.

This game is definitely NO Peggle. It is as it says, kind of a pachinko game. Lucky coins lacks the personality of Peggle, though, which allows the gameplay to feel repetitive. The game gets old quick (tired of it within minutes). This game is okay if you only pick it up for seconds at a time. It gets a three because the mechanics aren't bad, and I got the game for free (wouldn't pay for it). It doesn't score higher because it just isn't interesting enough to hold attention for long.
