Kattam is a clever take on the 'dots and boxes' concept that many of us played on graph paper as kids. It’s minimalist, which I appreciate; there are no unnecessary bells and whistles to distract you from the logic of the puzzle. The game asks you to enclose areas to score points, but the level design forces you to think three or four moves ahead to avoid giving your opponent (or the AI) an easy opening.
The progression is well-paced. The early levels introduce the mechanics simply enough, but the later stages introduce obstacles and specific board shapes that really test your spatial reasoning. It's a quiet, contemplative game that rewards patience. My only gripe is that I wish there were more diverse board skins, but the core logic is so sound that it's easy to overlook the plain aesthetic.

Be careful not to draw the third line of a square, as your opponent will immediately draw the fourth and capture the box. Try to force your opponent into situations where they must give you the advantage.
The goal is to capture more boxes than your opponent. Each time you complete a box, you get an extra turn, which can lead to powerful chain reactions if you plan the board correctly.
Absolutely. It is a fantastic tool for developing logical thinking and spatial awareness for all ages.
Super fun and easy to figure out right after you start the game. It has different levels and each one keeps you on your toes. Definitely worth the download.
Nice game to pickup as a filler. Love how the hammer slowly rises up until it’s ready to be deployed to demolish those pesky bricked words. Would be nice though if the game could be sped up, like it can be slowed down.
If you like Wordle you should give Kattam a try! It’s like Wordle where you’re guessing 5 letter words but with the added time pressure of avoiding death by stack, Tetris style. Nicely polished and addictive.
Good new concept in word games, makes you think fast. Great for kids to learn, recall and play with words.
Wordle got me interested but Kattam keeps me satiated. Love the concept and execution. It’s highly addictive and has various difficulty levels to keep you engaged.
Like the fun, simple concept. But the game doesn’t correctly recognize words. In the very first game I played it said July isn’t a word. Given the fast paced nature of the game it is unforgivable and demoralizing when you’re doing your part and the game itself is sabotaging your ability to win.
Great fun and highly addictive!! One of the best things one could buy for a dollar these days!!
Challenging but no score. Or Improvement over last time
