A new update is here!
-General Bug Fixing
Jetpack Joyride Racing is a chaotic and joyful evolution of the Halfbrick classic. It successfully takes the core 'one-touch' flight mechanic and fits it into a competitive 4-player racing format. The maps are brilliantly designed, filled with the lasers and zappers we've come to love, but now you're dodging them while trying to ram an opponent into a missile. It’s high-speed, high-stakes, and hilariously unfair in the best way possible.
The vehicle variety is the secret sauce. Switching from a jetpack to the Dragon or the Profit Bird mid-race completely changes your movement physics, keeping you on your toes. The customization is also top-notch, allowing you to deck out Barry in some truly ridiculous gear. It’s a perfect example of how to spin off a legendary IP—it feels like Jetpack Joyride, but the competitive element makes it feel entirely new. It is fast, funny, and perfect for quick bursts of multiplayer mayhem.
Competitive 4-player real-time racing
Iconic vehicles and power-up gadgets
Vast character and jetpack customization
Dynamic obstacle-filled tracks
Hit the speed pads located on the ceilings and floors. Maintaining a high altitude often avoids the more common ground-based obstacles and allows you to drop down on rivals with power-ups.
Compete against three real players to climb the leaderboard. Winning races earns you trophies and unlocks higher-tier racing leagues with better rewards and more complex tracks.
You can play practice modes offline, but competitive multiplayer races require an internet connection.
This game is nice… but whenever you need to redeem what you have you need to download another app to “unlock” the cards that are vehicles, characters or any customization option. Whose decision what this? It’s so obnoxious to play a game and then have to go to another app to get what you earned and then it doesn’t let you know specifically how much cards you need to unlock a character or a new vehicle. This “feature” kills the game experience for me. It should be integrated in the game. I wish they could fix this but looking at how they’re ranging everything and the paying options, memberships, etc. this company is focusing more on a store for micro-transactions more than a game
I am loving this game right now but please listen to me remake age of zombies from the original game and add more modes daily challenge new maps and worlds new bosses and new zombies and a new character select system where you can pick your character like Barry steakfries Abraham Lincoln Craig robo Barry and Betty beefpies add controller support in the game add more achievements add more weapons and amo types add more sentry guns types add new pets system and add daily challenges and events the remake of age of zombies will be called age of zombies reloaded on halfbrick plus and remake the original 2d sprite from the original game to modern 2d sprite to the remake game I am a big fan of age of zombies I really sad that you never updated the game on halfbrick plus it’s buggy and the audio is low quality please remake or update age of zombies I really miss this game and add more content in the age of zombies thank you 😊 From Ray Ramirez your halfbrick fan.
I was looking forward to this game, really. I had it pre owned for months, waiting for it to release and I can say it’s REALLY bad. Very bare bones in almost every way, gameplay seems fun on paper but is repetitive and hard to control in reality without much variety. This game for real feel like a proof of concept or play test, but was sent out to die as a full game. And don’t even get me STARTED on the “halfbrick plus” garbage. Why do I need to download another app to get my rewards? I’ve NEVER seen a game do that, and feels like some NFT or subscription bs put into an already struggling game. Like I used to love Halfbrick’s games, but they have fallen off so hard over the years. I can confidently say i am going to be deleting this game, and never download any of their new games unless something major changes internally. Save your money, I seen this game being up for six months MAX.
The game has a high learning curve where you can’t just hold L or R to win the game. Not being able to understand that the controls are difficult for a reason, is the reason, a lot of people are put off by the game. It would better explained by the tutorial if they have stated that. Doesn’t explain wall drifting, you have to download another app to collect cards and use the garage. The game would be at maximum 4 stars if they implemented that. Seems the people who run the app, and not the actual game developers who make the game, are trying to sabotage a nicely made fast paced arcade racing game by using a double app necessity. Could easily be solved, but who knows.
Its been forever since a gem of a mobile racer came up and my excitement remained when this game was preregistered and played on day one. The machanics and physics feel spot on, with a change on drifting rather than turning sharply on corners, you use the thrusters at the walls to gain speed and momentum. Its reminiscent of fzero in a way that I can’t describe, other than having to master a tight turn and boosting at the right moment leaves me feeling giddy everytime. Jetpack Joyride Racing could be the very racing game mobile devices need to test your mettle against your buds and opponents.
This game is legit a joke like why do I have to download a whole separate app or whatever to “merge” cards in order to unlock the other vehicles, the way to gain speed in the game is a unique concept that is executed terribly, one bump from a person in the game even when they aren’t using the boost ability is devastating it is awful imagine going the 200mph or whatever in the game and then 1 bump will make you lose all that speed this game could’ve been better
All around just bad. This game just came out and already a huge failure with various red flags. 1. The tutorial was already bad. Barely gives you any info aside from left and right, boost pads, and slow pads. Doesn’t tell you the wall rider gives boost, doesn’t tell you how else to get the green boost aside from the pads, and there’s no upgrades. All purely cosmetic which is no surprise since they already have a season pass. 2. The fact you have to download a SECOND app to unlock other vehicles and characters is bizarre. It’s not the first game they do this to but really? Such a weird feature to do bouncing back and fourth just to unlock anything. Overall the game looks like straight out of 2010. Nothing original or something that captures the audience unless you are 5 years old. Just seems like they are grasping at anything to replicate the original jet pack joyride. The amount of jet pack joyride related games this company has made is sad. They have no creativity.
Updating my review. Initially was off-put by HB+, but after looking into it more, it really isn’t as bad as I thought. The game is so fun, and I can’t really take that away from it. There’s a learning curve, but wins are earned, and you need to be able to think on the fly. Can’t wait for future updates that hopefully include more incentive to win, like leaderboards.
