Updated for new OS
Invading Horde TD is a solid, albeit traditional, tower defense title. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it executes the fundamentals very well. The variety of towers—ranging from basic archers to magical pylons—is well-balanced, and the 'horde' mechanic truly lives up to its name. In later waves, the screen is absolutely packed with enemies, forcing you to think carefully about splash damage and slow-effects.
The progression system is fair, allowing you to upgrade your towers permanently between stages. While the art style is a bit generic 'fantasy,' the clarity of the units is good, which is crucial for a TD game when things get chaotic. It’s a great title for TD purists who want a challenge without too many complicated auxiliary systems distracting from the core strategy of placement and timing.
Diverse tower types
Powerful hero spells
Epic boss encounters
Strategic upgrade tree
Always build your slowing towers (like the Frost Tower) at the start of U-turns. This keeps enemies in the range of your high-damage towers for much longer, maximizing your DPS.
Each tower can be upgraded mid-battle using gold from fallen enemies. Focus on fully upgrading one or two towers early rather than having many weak towers, as higher tiers unlock powerful special abilities.
Yes, there are fast enemies, armored tanks, and flying units that require specific tower types to defeat.
I finally found a game I love. Horde is amazing. Please give us never ending levels and the ability to unlock more things as we go. This game is fun, easy to understand, but short. I need more! Thanks in advance.
It’s a fun little game for sure. It’s kinda satisfying cause all the upgrades are quick and easy to get, but then the game becomes too easy. There’s only 40 levels and about halfway through, you almost only need to set up a few towers at the spawn entrance with a support tower and it’s in the bag. The game only crashed on me once as I was about to win, but I did notice some pretty annoying glitches. It seems that if you put too many power upgrades to a certain tower, putting two support towers nearby or upgrading the closest one makes that tower just completely STOP. The only upside is it creates a small sense of strategy to see where you need to invest your upgrades…but it’s very frustrating to upgrade towers and expect a support tower to really knock out the enemies, and then the tower just completely stops. Also annoying but very minor - as you upgrade archer towers, they basically turn into little machine guns. But then the little shooting sound overpowers all others and it does NOT stop, even when you’ve beaten the level and the towers stop shooting. TLDR: it’s fun but almost too easy and way too short. The biggest sense of “strategy” actually comes from a really annoying glitch.
Have been a fan of TD games for a bit of time. I love this game. It also feels nice to complete some levels on the Apple Watch. Max Stars, and the humor is catchy!
Was really enjoying this one and then suddenly it was over. Thought it would get even harder and still had a bunch of upgrades to unlock by the time I reached the end.
It’s good and fun but my archers don’t shoot after I’m all leveled up. ?…
Wish there will be a Chinese translation in the future ☺️
The game is good and runs well, but when i’m playing a level, right before I finish it the game crashes. I assume this will be fixed but as of now the game is unplayable. I will change to five stars when it works properly.
This game has potential but needs work.
