Idle Miner Tycoon is widely considered the gold standard for the 'idle' or 'clicker' genre. You start with a single shaft and a few workers, but before long, you are managing a multi-continental mining empire with elevators, warehouses, and automated managers. The sense of progression is brilliantly paced; there is always a new upgrade or a new mine just within reach.
What sets it apart from other idle games is the complexity of its prestige system and the 'Super Managers' who provide unique active abilities. The game does a great job of rewarding both active play and 'idling' (earning money while you sleep). The UI is busy but intuitive, and the constant stream of events keeps the late-game from feeling stagnant.

Thu Feb 21 2019 icecreamdudesLet’s get started. Our first feature is accessories. To elevators is the railing. Faster speeds the better the railing. To miners is the shoes. Same faster walking speed. And the bag the miners carry on the way. It improves mining speed and amount of money carried per time. For warehouse is also shoes. The second feature is pets. You know how boring it is to only get 1 manager per source. You can use super cash on pets. There can be pet offers for $3 and $20. It works just like a manager. The third feature is to increase the max level. Unlocking new mines increases the max level. The fourth feature is more permanent boosters. You can multiply the profit by x2 for 2500 super cash. You can increase all walking speed by 10% for 200 super cash. You can increase the mining/loading speed by 10% for 200 super cash. For the three sources it costs 500 super cash for +30% boost. The fifth feature is the event skill points. At the end of the event you get skill points for what mine you are on. The sixth feature is general managers. A manager for everything. Junior: loading/mining=x2 movement speed=x3 cost=-30% Senior: loading/mining=x4 movement speed=x5 cost=-50% Executive: loading/mining=x7 movement speed=x7 cost=-70% The seventh feature is the technology continent. You can buy upgrades with phones,tablets,computers,Televisions and Controllers. If you do all the features, This will be one of the best idle games yet experienced and I will tell you more features.
I only care about idle miner tycoon

It’s safe to say idle miner has completely taken over my life, in the best possible way. When I first started playing this game I never thought I would enjoy it. I had seen the ads and thought it was a boring looking game. But I finally succumbed. I was almost instantly hooked. I went my first two weeks of idle miner tycoon without talking to anyone (except my beloved managers: Cody Casner, Kecia Kindig and Earl Evelyn to name a few). After getting this blessed game, my social life went to zero; and hey, I’m not complaining! I had been needing something to use to escape, something to get away from it all, and the coconut water just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. This game was truly a blessing in that regard, a gift from god. It makes me feel like god! I have control over someone else for the first time in my life. I just sit back and watch as my incredible persevering miners just keep mining—how do they do it anyways? I feel that my relationship with my workers in idle miner tycoon is not a controlling one, but one of compassion. My addiction to this game has frankly ruined my life. But you know what, I don’t care anymore. Idle tycoon IS my life. I love my managers. I love my workers. Let us pray they never stop their all-preserving mining!

Sat Apr 07 2018 ~Kawaii~Muffin~Gamer~Okay so for starters this game is so addictive and it’s really good and I have never written a review so that says something, but I have a idea to make the game better. They should make a shop or something so that you can exchange money. For example, during events like the spring event, you have what’s called “ Flower Cash “ after the event is over, let’s say you have 589AC in flower cash, then you should be able to turn that into 589AC in normal cash for the coal mine. Or maybe you could also add robbers trying to break into the mines and steal money and you have to tap on them to stop them or you can hire police on each floor ( The Lower The Floor The More Expensive) to stop the robbers from stealing from that floor. The higher the level cop, the higher the chance you have of catching the robber. This may be hard d to animate, but you cold just have the cop frequently blowing his whistle while the robber is entering and make the floor red signifying that there’s robber on that floor, and then the floor turns back to normal once the robber is caught, and you get the money that he tried to take and 50% more of what he took as a reward of catching him. Again this game is really fun, but can you lower the amount of super cash that it cost to get a COMMON chest? It’s common! It should be only $100 and the rare $200 etc. Again I give this game 5 stars because I understand that it’s free so they don’t ed to make money somehow, so either make $2 worth 600 SUPER-CASH or make things cheaper. My favorite app that could be better!
Thu Oct 15 2020 SoullymanFirst off, I just want say that I love this game. You can leave for ever and there is never a cap on how much you earn while idle. Second, I was slowly drawing away from the game because I was a little tired of grinding out the event mines in less than 36 hours. But, when these came out with the remove ad purchase, I have to say, that was the best 15 dollars I have invested in this game. With ad boosts and using ads to remove barrier time, it has been a blast just to tap away without seeing ads. Third, I have been playing other games that do events/seasons and I think that the seasons in this game can be so much better when it comes to how it works. I believe that the season points that are handed out can be increased drastically. To get to level 30 you almost literally have to complete each event in a day and half. And, the rewards handed out through the events are drastically better than any of the rewards handed out for buying the season pass. There may be people who do buy it, but I do not buy it because I don’t think it’s worth it when I only get 3 RARE CHESTS from the whole month of the season pass when I can 1-2 rare chests from the event only. If the rewards were better and much easier to receive, than I would be more willing to spend $9.99 for the month. I’m unsure of how others feel about avatars but I don’t care for them. I would like to see more chests with more rarity, like a purple chest at level 30 would be awesome. And less multipliers. We get them pretty often from expeditions. This is great and I do enjoy the grind. But I think the grind for the season pass isn’t worth it.
Bugs Preventing Progression, Excessive Monetization
Tue Jun 16 2026 persepeachI actually really enjoyed this game, but after about a week I’m unfortunately just uninstalling. The progression reaches a point where you are making nowhere near enough to progress anywhere in a reasonable amount of time, which is made significantly worse by the bugs plaguing every play session. God forbid you have another device to play this on- while the feature to choose between cloud vs device saves is welcome, it rarely works properly and usually wont add the currency earned during your time away. The game stalls regularly, so even though your boosts are consumed on use, your money disappears into thin air more times than not. I should probably be WAY further ahead in the progression but i’ve lost so much money and the few free boosts you can earn to save wiping bugs. You also regularly lose out during the ad breaks. Your manager powers and boosts wear down during the ads, but you’ll make no money. The ads are also basically a requirement- if you play f2p without the 2x boost you’re going even slower than they designed for you to already. This would be a fun game but the obnoxious pricing and constant reminders that the game is rigged towards you paying hundreds (yes, hundreds) of dollars to advance in a game about watching a number go up is disappointing and unenjoyable. I would recommend this game if I hadn’t lost so much time to the glitches and bugs, with the warning to not spend ANY money on the game as it isn’t worth it.
Interesting game but rigged
Thu May 16 2024 GameLoverMuchAs an idle game, it is an interesting game and is enjoyable. If you just want to kill some times a day, don’t play this game unless you don’t care for progress or events. I deducted two stars due to a lot of lags in the game after watching a video. It can take from 15 seconds to a minute before the game can be fully controlled again. This issue starts after you have been playing the game for a while (around the time you open Ruby mine or so). Another issue is similar to any gacha game, rigged. How rigged? I spin the free wheel which happens once a day and I got the lowest prize in consecutive 5 days. And last but not least, the game keeps forget idle time when I get back online after I wake up. So all the idle time is never counted; thus no coins gained but those in-game selling pop ups instead. Overall the game concept is nice as an idle game. Fast pace. But it could be frustrated and it lives with ads. Stuff is not cheap. Though I spent about $3 to try some stuff out. If you want to compete in their event, be prepared to spend some money or you won’t get much but if you all F2P and chill, then it is a game for you. Update: The game still crashing from time to time. The new event promotion pop up is ruining the game because it replaces idle money, so you get no money if you switch map. Overall the game is not really what I would recommend to others yet.
Nothing bad to say but one thing...
Tue Apr 10 2018 Optimist_247Right when I saw the ad for this game I knew this is the game for me! I play Roblox tycoons, and I used to play adventure capitalist, but they were nothing like this game. You can hire managers which completely beats Roblox tycoons. Adventure Capitalist has this, but nothing as fun as this. You can see what the transitions of your miners and the money they’re earning and you get every little detail incorporated. You can watch the miners at work and buy more shafts and the designs and stickers are adorable. This is my “Play All Day” game it’s so addicting. I recommend it to everyone 8+, but one thing I’m hung up on. So I did some “research” and saw you recommend this game to 4+ and we can both agree (maybe) that this game has more interest to kids then adults. So why play with friends ON FACEBOOK WHEN CHILDREN ARE MORE INTERESTED IN PLAYING THIS GAME. I’m ten years old and I can’t even have Snapchat or Instagram none of my friends eve have Facebook. But to all adults who play this game go have fun playing with your friends on Facebook. And for you 4 year olds too go have fun on Facebook cause this game thinks that’s reasonable. If you are trying to encourage children to go on Facebook and play with their friends for super cash, I doubt parents with be thrilled. My mother checks my phone and games on it, so she can see why I am interested in, you think m mother will let me play a game that encourages social media made for adults? NO! But anyway good game 😁
Too many VERY long ads to progress in game
Thu May 27 2021 Mom of ForrestI have enjoyed this game, I really have. But after playing for several months I have gotten to a point where if I don’t “boost” production, the game goes nowhere. So I’m stuck watching ads. I often play at night when my partner is asleep and the white background ads are VERY bright and you have to click “next” four (yes, I said 4) times every 13-14 seconds to clear them. So it is basically a full minute ad. Ads should be 30 seconds MAX with an option to skip after 5-10 seconds. I then come read reviews and find that other reviewers have complained about way too many long ads for YEARS. Which tells me you’re not listening to your customer base. There has to be a balance between making money and keeping your customers happy. I can’t say I’ll play much longer if the ad scheme doesn’t change FAST. And because you’ve ignored your reviewers for years, I don’t have much hope. No one wants to play a game where over half of the active time playing that game is watching ads that don’t pertain to me. I don’t have metastatic breast cancer or ulcerative colitis. I don’t listen to podcasts, I play games. Decent games. The white background ads have GOT to go. I’m actually relieved when the ads don’t work and I watch the digging man for 30 seconds to get the boost. That’s really sad. I’m bummed because I really enjoyed this game for about the first 2 months.
