Better than the ads make it seem

I think we’re all probably getting used to seeing some terrible mobile game ads, and the ads for this game aren’t great, but the game itself is fun. The ad makes it seem like you could play it for hours and never make it past level 1, which would be frustrating and not at all fun, but that is not the case. Leveling up, especially early on, is quick and easy. It does slow down, like all games like this, but it’s meant to be the type of thing where you go do other things for a while (work, school, sleep, etc.) and come back to some decent rewards. The ads that you watch while in this game are also terrible, and some take 5-6 taps to get out of. There are a few issues, like if you’re not on the screen it expects when a tutorial comes up, you can end up being told to tap somewhere that doesn’t exist, and you might have to force quit and relaunch to get the game to work again. Some translations are rough, but you can figure out what it means, others are missing. Also, the interface is VERY busy. Lots and lots of things all around the screen, greatly reducing the size of the actual game. And scrolling around in the game is awkward. It goes faster than your finger, so it’s difficult to control. Overall it is a fun game, but it could be better if they cleaned up the interface, translated all the text, and fixed the scrolling.

Waste of time

This game is set up saying ads aren’t necessary but give you huge benefits for watching them. But half the time I try it freezes at the end of the ad and I have to close the game and open it back up only to find I need to rewatch the ad if I want my reward. The “tarot” mini game is also a scam they have set up to watch ads. I counted 12 times in a row I apparently chose the wrong card on the first diamond level and I’m no mathematician, but the odds of choosing 1 wrong card out of 4 12 times in a row is wild. Then you have to watch an ad to keep playing. Also the pets just keep getting stuck when they die and try to respawn so I’m constantly reopening the game for that. I realized I’m being forced to close the game so much that I’m just tired of opening it back up. There’s much better and fair games that are similar to this that they obviously chose to mimic portions of their game off of, go play those instead and save yourself the time.

Deleted after almost a year

The game is a lot of fun and I enjoyed playing it. I even spent some real $$ for the ads free and one of the $9 packages for better gameplay and it was worth it. but…. It’s a scam (please read) After months and months of these side events (like battle of toy town), I finally looked up to see why I go from 1st and 50 levels ahead to 50 levels behind and rank 100+ in the rankings within the last couple of days… some people have logged into the game with their data turned off and still watched the rankings move around, same with treasure hunt enemies coming to steal your stuff. There are also people complaining about not being able to come close on the pvp charts since you would need 40 points per win but it maxes at 28 points so you can never get higher than rank 500 for the better rewards. Even players with the premium package that gives you extra fights say it’s impossible to come close. You aren’t actually competing with others, the game is designed to give you hope, then bots soar past you to try to get you to spend money trying to beat them. Unless you spend tons of $$$ you won’t be able to compete to get the higher rewards. It’s just a way for them to cheat you out of money by making you think others are better when it’s all fake bots built into the game.

New update ruined it

The new “rank” system for the devices is unfathomably stupid. The fact that you can’t upgrade your devices more means til a certain level you’re now soft locked at this level because you simply don’t have enough power to kill the boss to progress. The fact that you put a cap on the upgrades is horrendous, it stops the gameplay loop dead in its tracks. Currently i’m at stage 115 getting absolutely demolished, but guess what? I cannot upgrade my devices until STAGE ONE THIRTY ONE. What do you expect me to do? I can’t progress, so i’m also stuck in the hero’s arena unable to get gems, is the expectation that I buy gems or watch ads over and over to get equipment? Oh wait nope, there’s also a cap on that too. It feels like you don’t want the player to progress, or the only way they can is through micro-transactions. The game did not feel this way before, and I really enjoyed it, hence why i’m at stage 115. All i’m asking is to make the rank system more optimized please. Sure you could also argue that I could progress through the pets system, but my pets are already carrying my team. Without my pets i’m at like 600aa, with my pets i’m at 27bb, and that is just with a SS and A level pet, so trust me I have been TRYING to progress. Yet, it really feels like the game does not want me to.

WARNING: Don’t update your game!!!!

If you have your updates turned off like I do, and you manually update your games like I do, do not update this game. I still have not updated my game, so I am still able to have fun. Many players have expressed not getting to play the game anymore after the update because the nerds made them so weak that they couldn’t defeat any enemies. If my game was forced to update, I would have definitely quit the game already. If you are playing on the current version of the game, just delete the game. It’s not worth the time and effort, and will be too much of a grind if you are pre-update 2.0. If you are on a version before version 2.0, you will enjoy the game and it is very fun. Right now we can only hope that the developers will listen to players who have enjoyed the game, many who spent their money to remove ads and support them. Remember devs— developers that do not listen to their player base are bound to lose their player base all together. I will update this review if they fix the problems they created and will change it back to 5 stars like it used to deserve.

Update

I like idle games because I’m busy throughout my day. I like the fact that I can just log in claim my stuff and still advance. I also like how in this game instead of spending money you have the option of watching adds and advancing at an even greater pace. I watched too many adds for it to have been thrown down the drain after the update. I lost 90% of the power I had, the skills that carried the game became useless and now I can’t even grind levels because the required power to defeat the challenges didn’t go down with the power loss, they increased dramatically as a matter of fact. I hope it gets better but I lost a lot of the little free time I had and to try to get the power level I had before just to be able to grind the levels I was doing before is not very motivating.

Mixed reviews

On one hand, I love this game's implementation of ads. It isn't in your face, but you can choose to watch them to boost progress. However, this is the only thing keeping the game from being 1 star. The main issue is how the progression works. Based on the missions, you are expected to progress at an unrealistic pace. I say this because armor upgrades are a fairly early mission, however they require higher leveled armor managers, which are significantly harder to get. Don't even get me started on helmet managers. The second major issue is the other "players." These are clearly bots, but that is not the issue. The issue is how the game treats the bots and your interactions with them. In the arena, I am currently one of the highest power users on the leaderboard, but due to the bot behavior I am always stuck at 900th place, losing multiple times while offline despite that making no logical sense. With the treasure hunts, the bots always instantly take my personal treasure before I even load into the game, giving me no chance. With events, they constantly progress at an unrealistic pace. I understand wanting players to spend money on the game, but using unrealistic bot behavior and unrealistic progression expectations is not the way to do it. If anything, it is pushing me away from the game because I don't feel like I'm able to make any progress when I am stuck at the same arena rank for months despite my power going up significantly.

Play to paywall

This whole game is nothing but play until you hit a pay wall. Defeat stage bosses in the main game till you get to the point where the timer gets to 0 faster than your troops or abilities kills them. After that, either spend money to progress or wait till midnight for all the other activities to reset to get more resources. You don’t get enough coins or gems to upgrade enough but if you do, it will only carry you like 5-10 stages then its back to waiting another day. You spend more time getting resources than progressing the game. Theres also nothing but optional ads everywhere that don’t help much. Do you want this, watch an ad. Are you stuck on this, watch an ad. Do you want to do anything else, watch an ad. I get you don’t have to watch ads but progressing feels like ads are mandatory or else progress will be insanely slow
