Updated support and bug fixing in the Neighborhood.
Hello Neighbor on mobile is a surprisingly faithful port of the stealth-horror hit that kept gamers on edge for years. The core hook—sneaking into a creepy neighbor's house to see what he’s hiding in the basement—is just as tense on a small screen. What makes the game truly stand out is the adaptive AI. This isn't a scripted guard; the Neighbor learns from you. If you keep using the same window, he'll board it up or place a bear trap. This forces a constant state of improvisation and genuine dread.
The puzzles are often surreal and physics-based, requiring you to think outside the box (sometimes literally). While the controls can occasionally feel finicky during high-tension chases, the sense of accomplishment when you finally unlock a new wing of the house is immense. The bizarre, toy-like art style contrasts sharply with the underlying horror, creating a unique atmosphere that is both unsettling and fascinating. It's a game of cat-and-mouse that rewards patience, observation, and a bit of courage.
Advanced, learning AI
Sandbox-style environmental puzzles
Tense stealth-horror atmosphere
Surreal, evolving house layout
Avoid repetition. If the Neighbor catches you, he will reinforce your previous entry point. Use distractions like throwing objects or turning on radios to lure him away from the area you actually want to investigate.
Progression requires finding specific keys and tools hidden throughout the house. Players must manipulate objects using physics—stacking boxes to reach high windows or using a magnet to grab items through bars—all while staying silent.
Yes, the AI tracks your frequent paths and will place traps, cameras, or barricades in those specific locations to stop you in future attempts.
First of all, I would like to say as a long time Hello Neighbor fan how much I do enjoy the series. The idea of sneaking into your neighbors house to solve puzzles is super creative! Unfortunately it comes with many noticeable flaws. Firstly, I don’t actually mind the full game costing money. You still get to experience the best alpha 2 throwback being act 1. Though, I do wish they would already let the player know about the full game costing money. The second act is super frustrating though. The neighbor inhabits only 4 small rooms and the backyard, making the puzzle solving aspect feel like rng neighbor thinking time since the neighbor can easily spot you anywhere. Act 3’s fear mini games are still terrible and the puzzles are odd and misleading. On a positive note I thought that act 1 was perfectly executed. Act 2 had amazing puzzles. Act 3’s house is fun to explore when the neighbor isn’t around. The finale is mid but the shadow boss fight was amazing. The story in this game is often overlooked by newer players for the dream sequence, but the story makes sense. The concept is still amazing and messing with the neighbor and performing stunts/glitches in act 1 is still my favorite thing to do in this game. Overall, this games need a lot of improvements that can hopefully be considered for hn3. This is still my favorite indie game series.
AMAZING, some people do not like how there are not many acts, and I agree, but giving it less star because it does not have enough gameplay is crazy! I love this game so much, and it is annoying that it is 15 dollars to play the other 2 acts, but Minecraft Java edition is 30 dollars and then people don’t complain as much! I have so many thing to say about this game, and the amount of theory and lore is just crazy! I give this 5 stars because it is simply amazing, I have completed the entire game, and the hide and seek game, and I like the backstory in it. I think this game is awesome and amazing, but I do have one complaint, the graphics in the first 2 alphas were so realistic and amazing, and I know it is too late to change that, but can you remake the alphas ( with less lag ) and make them easier to access, maybe even on the App Store! I have them on my computer, but it is a little hard to access sometimes. I also like that it costs 15 dollars, because it has no ads, which is worth the money, because even if it allowed you to pay for no ads, some mobile games don’t stay true to that, some people say that it is a rip off of granny? That a complete lie and makes no sense, it’s just like any stealth and horror game, but WAY better. I also think that it is not too scary, and that is good, because I actually have some hello neighbor dreams, and they are never scary at all! I think that the game is worth the money and people should bye it! ( btw, I have the whole house for every act memorized, accept for the basements )
I was just playing act 1 yesterday and when i was done playing i went to the app stone and saw that there was a new update that just came out so i downloaded it and well it broke the game. Before i got the update the game worked great no bugs controls were pretty good for a pc to Mobile game port and it ran smoothly no lag spikes or fps drops it was really good but unfortunately the new update needs some fixing. First of all when you look down you can see your body but the camera is slightly too low cuz when you look down your inside of your body so this is a pain if your trying to pick something up from the floor also this makes your arms and hands look really awkward. The point of view of the camera looks like your head is on your characters chest aside from that everything else is still ok and I'm not going to take away any stars since the game is perfect and i can 100% understand why the new update is broken cuz i did play it the day it came out i just wanted to get this out there so the developers know. Over all good game especially for a Mobile port normally pc games ported to mobile have terrible controls but this ported really well. Sometimes the jumping can be a little weird but it was like that in the pc verson too so yea I would recommend.
I was so exited when this game which I loved watching you tubers play was available on mobile and also for free. However upon learning the the full game had to be purchased separately and was very expensive I was disappointed. However I was still willing to give act one a try but was again disappointed with all the other issues with the game. Similar to what I have all ready read the controls could definitely use a lot of improvement as it is difficult the activate certain controls most commonly walking as you just get stuck sometimes and the joy stick would not react. The upon learning that the steal series controller work for the game I got really exited as it was much easier to control. However I was again disappointed when I found out that a lot of things were not fleshed out for example not being able to pick up items, open doors or as a matter a fact activate anything with the controller instead having to use the controls on the screen. While I noticed some other problems like some of the tap controls being very unresponsive the previous mentioned issues with the basic and necessary controls made me not want to continue playing. The controls and responsiveness of those controls need a big overhaul, as well as if there is support for the controller, make it full support.
So, I completed act 3, which was very confusing and taunting by the way, and I got the keycard, took away the chair, and removed the boards, and got into the basement. The part when the shadow man comes across the hallway is brutally teasing me. He does not come until I go IN the hallway, then he appears and jump-scares me! It’s ANNOYING! Those things you must fix. I mean it. There’s also a bug where I am on the train tracks at the front of the house, and the neighbor sees me, right? He can’t get me, so he continuously tries to hop up to me. Then he throws a tomato, and I get teleported to the ground! Please fix this. Also, In the fear school mini-game, this might be a bit of a change for a finished game, but I was thinking, maybe you could place the school bell rings a little bit further apart. I had to go during the free roaming and DODGE MANNEQUINS all the way to the door at the end. And maybe put less mannequins in fear school? Also, I cannot seem to find the guitar in act three. Thanks for reading. Goodbye. This is (name censored) signing off. Edit: I love the new graphics in the new update, but the controls are a little bit crazy since the update. Also, the default look sensitivity should default to 50%.
It was funny and cool I went on his room he saw me and I blocked his door with a chair and I hid he broke in I hid he went away and I turn off his generator he saw me and he was up the ladder I got the crow bar and I pick with the crowbar and i saw the ice melting and grabbed the key card and went in the basement and I saw shadow man I crouched and he was going in the door I went in the red room and I broke the bricks and saw a white pant with a light behind it it made a ghost noise and I sprint over the steel bars and was at the exit when I press it I saw hello neighbor and I pushed him and shut the door he was banging on the door I went in the door and I saw final act and I hit the switch and got in the toaster and fly up to broken wall with a switch and saw a plate moving up and I got on it and when I arrived I broke the window and flip the switch and I fell and grabbed the umbrella and flew went in the toaster I saw giant hello neighbor with a house on his back so I got fire work and but I turn on the roller coaster and it broke the house and hopped on the toaster and fly in the house and got the candle and went down an put the candle under the fire work and it hit hello neighbor I hop on the toaster and I pushed the ball and he went down so I did it again and he was down and I hop on the toaster and fly on the music player and on the platform in the house and went in the room I saw kid and he ran I protect him 5 times and he was down and hello neighbor and shadow man was on the other side I went in exit and saw a cutseen and THE END thank you tinybuild and pls make alphas and phones and ps 4
Free play/roam. it is only in act 3. once you click on act 3, it will ask you if u wanna play act 3 normally or the free roam version. the free play will have the neighbor, and the basement will still be there, only instead, it has a disco room where you can do all sorts of things, like trolling the neighbor. the neighbor will also be friendly unless provoked; like pushing him over or throwing something at him. the fence that protects the basement will have a door. next to it is a keycard that allows you and the neighbor to scan the card. once successful, the door will open and you can go inside. oh, and heres the best part… YOU AND THE NEIGHBOR CAN DRIVE EACHOTHERS CARS TO WHERE EVER YOU WANT! you can explore the neighborhood and the city. the neighbor will be included. if you go inside a school, the neighbor will also be there, like usual. now THATS a lotta new stuff. so heres some more! the train can also be able to travel where ever it wants, too. it can also be seen at the city, the school, where ever. AND, you and the neighbor can controll it! it will also have train cars that are connected to it! maybe like 3 or 5, idk. I REALLY want u to add this to the update, and i’ll be happy. peace out yall ✌🏻
I love hello neighbor and not long ago I bought full game and act 3 especially is the best act ever! The house is big there is so much to explore, the thing that throws me off just a bit is that in act finale it took me a dozen tries to get on the lift to get the the umbrella’s so I was wondering if there was any chance that there could be a 2nd way to get the umbrella’s so it doesn’t take me so long? But other then that I think the game is great there is not a lot of bugs (there is a few though) and it’s just fun! The idea of having to sneak in and figure out what’s in the basement is just such a thriller and I get jump scared sometimes when the neighbor is around the corner but I think he is in a room and he gets me. And I think there should we a thing in act 3 where you can drive ur car but the catch is if there is a act 5 for any reason it should be a part of getting stuff and make it so you need a key a keycard and a crowbar and make the house even bigger! That’s just ideas but who knows eventually I could end up a reality, but because this is kinda long I’m gonna end this by saying you guys made an amazing game I would like to see more but anyway good job Tinybuild! :)
