• Minor bug fixes
Hearts Premium is a polished, no-nonsense implementation of the classic trick-taking card game. For purists who want a clean interface without the clutter of modern 'freemium' card games, this version hits the mark. The AI is surprisingly competent, often making the 'Shoot the Moon' strategy a risky but rewarding gamble rather than a guaranteed win.
The customization options are the real highlight here. Being able to adjust passing rules and speed makes it easy to fit a game into a quick break or a longer session. While it lacks flashy animations, the clarity of the cards and the smoothness of the gameplay make it one of the better digital versions of Hearts available for those who value functional design over bells and whistles.
Smart AI with adjustable difficulty
Customizable passing rules
High-resolution card graphics
Statistics tracking for your wins and losses
Try to get rid of your high cards early, especially the Ace and King of Spades, to avoid being forced to take the Queen of Spades later in the round.
Follow the suit led if possible. If you can't, you can discard any card—this is the perfect time to dump a high Heart or the dreaded Queen.
Yes, Hearts Premium is fully playable offline against AI opponents.
Names are off-center. Hard to read the score. I have to delete app and reinstall it to get the name centered again once every two days. This is something you should address immediately as it is hard to see my score. I see I’m not the only one that has this problem so this is something that should be fixed immediately. Otherwise I love this game, I play it at least an hour every day.
I played their free version of Hearts for a while now, so figured I might as well buy the ad-free version. But this version is not actually just an ad-free version of the free one. I mean, the GUI and game options are identical (so no bonus other than skipping ads). But the cards in the paid version look MUCH WORSE. They appear to be lower resolution and have a muddy look to them. From the first time I opened the app I HATED it. I wish I got my money back, because I didn’t expect a worse version of the free app. I don’t even know if this one actually skips ads or not, I can’t play through it because the cards make it feel like my eyes are going bad. Still playing the free version. Actively looking for alternatives…The free version plays a lot of ads for other companies Hearts game, which is a hint I guess
Updated review: Well, the levels are MUCH harder and it is very difficult to win. Makes me wonder if they're looking at my hand behind the scenes. Still needs undo (not to cheat a win, but for the times I accidentally tap the wrong card and play it before I realize it). Also still needs the review feature to see what happened when I sneezed or when someone/something distracted me. Review from a few years ago: It's a great game and lots of fun! I bought it because I would frequently hit the ad bar accidentally while watching the other players or trying to decide my next play. It really needs a review feature to see the last play after some alert (or message or phone call or other distraction) makes you miss what was played! You need to be able to see the last play. Of course, an undo would be nice, too, for those times you accidentally play the wrong card.
A good implementation of this classic game, much better than other Hearts programs I’ve tried. (I haven’t looked for options to play against other people, just against the program.) A no-brainer that it’s worth the minor payment to move up from the free&ads level. It can beat me most of the time at its “hard” level, though I do better when the 10 point jack rule is added.
This worked great for years and I would have given it five stars. However, on my new XR, the during-play score displays aren’t properly centered, which makes it unreadable for the player. After deletion and re-installation it worked properly once, but not thereafter. This needs fixing.
This program makes many mathematically incredible deals both when the cards are dealt and when they are played. Go for Shoot the Moon opportunities come along way too often and when I think of the odds, the slight chance of what could happen at the very worst of course does happen over and over. It’s simplistic. It doesn’t even have many options like speeding up the deal when the hand is over or keeping track of any stats. This app is just about as you could get for free and in some ways not even that good.
I bought this game as my current favorite hearts game is free ware and has ads after every hand. I wanted to be able to play Hearts without having to watch a commercial every round. Unfortunately, this paid version lacks the polish and ease of use. While it does work, it’s just not as easy to use and not as rich with the graphics. I may just go back to the free ware app and deal with all of the annoying commercial ads.
Only bug I have found is if you start a new game while other players have not yet made their move, it messes up the new game (deals too many cards). New version is very tough & possibly cheats. I think the computer opponents know what cards I have, cause they make moves that no one would make unless they saw your cards. New features to make it better would be: 1. Have "auto play" to speed up the game when you already know the outcome. 2. Undo button for those of us with fat fingers that sometimes play the wrong card. 3. A total of remaining outstanding points so you don't have to keep adding the 4 scores & deducting it from 26.

The classic card game Hearts is now available on your iPad. With rich graphics and smooth animations, Hearts Free HD is the premier Hearts app on the app store.
