This update contains general fixes and performance enhancements. Happy Playing!
Heads Up! Kids is a stroke of genius. While the original game is a blast, it can be frustrating for children who can't read quickly. This version solves that by using charming, colorful illustrations instead of text. Watching a five-year-old try to act out a 'Elephant' or 'Eating Pizza' based on a picture is pure comedy gold.
It’s the perfect 'waiting in line' app. It requires no setup, and the scavenger hunt mode is a brilliant way to get kids moving and interacting with their environment. The ability to record the gameplay videos is a wonderful feature, capturing those genuine moments of family laughter that you'll want to keep forever. It’s wholesome, engaging, and arguably the best family game on the App Store.
Purely illustration-based gameplay—no reading required
Hilarious video recording of every round
Diverse decks including Animals, Actions, and Sesame Street
Scavenger hunt-style packs for active play
Simple tilt-based controls perfect for small hands
Have the child hold the phone to their forehead. The rest of the family then acts out the picture shown. If the child guesses correctly, they tilt the phone down; to skip, they tilt it up.
In the Scavenger Hunt deck, the goal is for the child to find the actual item shown in the picture around the house before the timer runs out, making it a great physical activity.
No, you can play with one friend or a hundred people at the same time in a large group setting.
I love Heads Up kids because it is a fun opportunity for kids to play Heads Up too! The only thing I don’t like about this app is that it won’t let you purchase (pay) for something offline. However I will soon make a game that you can pay offline, then download online. Heads up rules!
I’ve never given a game review before , but Warner Brothers should be ashamed of this product. For $5 you get a very buggy poorly designed product with ridiculous cards that a child cannot be expected to know. For instance a 1970s version of a microwave. You only get 5 categories to start but WB wants you to buy more. The Letters deck is only 1 letter (B). The Around Town requires you to upload your own pictures. I don’t mind paying for an app, but this one was a completely disappointing waste.
I love this game and use it for my special needs child to help him develop his language. I do wish you could turn the timer off!! It also needs more decks. Or make the regular heads up be able to use pictures and not just words.
It comes with a few games if you want the extra ones you must pay for each one individually. There is no all in one purchase. It’s a fun game but I don’t want to have to put over $10 into the app to get access to all the games.
This game does not have any adjustments to make the time longer for younger kids so they could spend more time trying to describe. You should be able to adjust times which you can’t. Some of the pictures are outdated for even a 40-year-old let alone for kids. This app needs updating/more work.
I actually love the game but wish we could just buy a pass that would unlock all the versions and add ons. It’s a pain to constantly have kids trying to play new games and having to stop to purchase, etc
This game is a ton of family fun, but it asks to turn on the camera every click. Extremely frustrating. On the regular adult version, they only ask once a game. They clearly want to trick the kids to turn on the camera which is creepy. Other than that, it’s a perfectly fun game.
Not happy I paid $5.31 for this app when only a few categories are available. The rest are $0.99 per category. The photos/drawings are also low quality and boring…. Especially if your kids are older than 3 years old. Wish I could get my money back.
