Our Expert Score

90/100

From the creators of the hit 'Good Pizza, Great Pizza' comes a coffee shop simulator that is just as charming and addictive. Good Coffee, Great Coffee captures the cozy aesthetic of a neighborhood cafe perfectly. You aren't just tapping buttons to serve drinks; you're actually 'crafting' them—drawing latte art, choosing toppings, and learning recipes for espressos and lattes.

The game shines in its writing. With over 200 unique customers, each with their own backstories and specific (often cryptic) orders, the game feels alive. The ASMR sound design—the hiss of the steam wand, the clinking of ceramic cups—creates an incredibly immersive atmosphere. It’s a deep business sim hidden under a cozy exterior, allowing you to upgrade your equipment and decorate your shop while navigating a surprisingly engaging main story. It’s the ultimate digital comfort food for simulator fans.

Favorite Cozy Mobile Game!! However, some important requests to make it better…
Thu Jan 08 2026 Laurenelia12

Let me just say, accuracy is super important to me (although I’ve never worked as a barista) so I love that they had people working as baristas to make this game accurately. I love that I can steam the milk and make latte art, and my absolute favorite is being able to make the special drinks with many different syrups and toppings! I feel like it really helps make it realistic. However, I’m very shocked that neither caramel syrup or matcha powder is included in this game as they’re extremely popular in coffee shops. I hope you guys will add those flavors soon!! Especially because caramel lattes are my go to to get. Finally, most coffee shops have baked goods that you can buy. I know it’d be a lot if, as a barista in this game, you’d have to make the baked goods in addition to the coffee, so since some coffee shops have some pre-made baked goods, so I think it’d be really fun and accurate to real life coffee shops if you included a shelf full of baked goods. I feel like all the barista would need to do is press a button to restock a certain kind of baked goods once it runs out, similar to the coffee grounds when they run out. I think it’d be cool to have to make cold brew every couple days or so too, as that’s something coffee shops also serve, but that’s probably the least priority haha. Anyway, seriously though, one of my favorite mobile games ever!!!

love it but needs repairs

the game is great! i love the concept, and i’m an avid player of gpgp, so i was looking forward to this game! the issue that i have is that there have been extremely inconvenient issues that haven’t been resolved yet. 1) the glitches: when picking up a cup from the slots on the counter by the toppings, 80% of the time, the cup will teleport to the center of your screen, and just sit there until you pick it back up. additionally, if you go to brew your espresso, sometimes the meter will reset in the middle of brewing, and you’ll have to gauge when you were actually supposed to stop the machine. even when doing that, the meter was off, so the customer asks for a refund every time without fail. there’s many glitches, which you can’t expect a game to be perfect, and is totally fine. the problem is that they have been reported by hundreds of people (including myself) and still have not been resolved after multiple updates. 2) the tap blade id log in: one of the best parts about gpgp was that i could access it from any device, meaning i could play on my iPad, but i could also play a quick round or two on my phone. you cannot do that with gcgc, because you still can’t log into your tapblaze account. i feel like that is a key important feature in a game, and should be the main focus of fixes and repairs. there have been multiple updates since the issue has been brought to their attention, and they acknowledge it, but still haven’t provided a fix and its been over 3 weeks.

Great!! New suggestion

So far I really love this game, it’s a lot less stressful than good pizza great pizza which I love! However, two things that could maybe be changed: 1, when you choose to watch the ad for the gems after the news section, the first customer of the day will often show up and order before you’re allowed to leave the ad, so I often lose like 5-10% happiness and it’s completely out of my control. This isn’t the worst issue ever, of course, but can be quite annoying especially when that’s the only way to get those gems. 2, It would be great if it told you what exactly made the customer unsatisfied with their order, rather than nothing. Sometimes it’s obvious what I did wrong, but sometimes it’s not so this would be a great improvement especially for beginners to the game! Also, everyone hates an energy limit, but I doubt y’all will change that aspect. Overall though, I’m enjoying the game :) UPDATE MARCH 10TH: Thank you so much for fixing the ad thing! I’m on day 110 and I’m still loving the game. I noticed something else that I think is a bug, though. It seems like when I first open the app and start the next day for some reason the first coffee I make always upsets the customer, even when I’m certain it was a perfect coffee. Even when it’s a simple espresso and I got “perfect” on everything, the customer is still unsatisfied, but this only happens on the first customer when I first open the app. I assume this isn’t supposed to be part of the game 😅 and I’m at least 90% sure that I’m not the problem, but of course that’s always a possibility. Other than that, still a great game!

I think MAX should probably like the Player.

As can see the title, I think that the In game NPC max should like the player, I have some reasons, I’ve been seeing a LOT of comments and videos saying that the game would be alt more interesting if there was some drama going on more often, now, I love this game, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it, it’s fun and enjoyable to play, the creators really did put their effort into this and I thank you for that, but, I would suggest for this game to be played more often or more LIKELY that it would be just a tiny tiny bit more interesting, I’m not saying that the game is boring, I just think in my opinion it would be so fun to actually play the game while having some drama and action in the game WHILE making coffee, it would be more interesting in my opinion, also, I think that the whole max liking the player thing, would be a GREAT way for a ad, that would definitely help you make more people download it since you have put more drama and action INTO the game, not sure if this is a great idea for the kids and underage people on this game, but I feel like it you didn’t make a inappropriate, then it would be amazing! like a normal average love couple, not sure if anyone will agree to this but I just decided to state my thoughts and opinions including for some other people as well, get back to me as soon as you can no rush! - Averie

Cute…but could be better.

At first I was in love with this game. When you start playing it’s full of excitement as you learn to make the different drinks in the game. Plus, the WCA trial is cute and fun to go through. I would definitely recommend this game to coffee lovers and cute, simplistic people. However the game could be better. For example, after you win the WCA trial and all your quests are complete, the game gets a bit boring, and it’s hard to keep playing. Here are some tips to keep it entertaining: * Make sure there are lots of long term quests to complete after the trial. Whether it’s a certain number of lattes to make or a new character to meet, make sure to still add little bits for players to work up too. It was fun working through the WCA trial, and having more quests like that one would boost the amount of entertainment. * Let players add their own drinks to the menu. After a while, the same old menu can get boring. Letting players experiment and create their own signature drinks would be a fun way to make their cafe their own. * Let players have more control over customizing their cafe. It would be nice to have a few more furniture options for players. It doesn’t have to be much, but more color options and things like that could let players be more creative. Also letting players customize more of their outdoor space and letting them rearrange furniture would also be good improvements. I hope you consider my opinion along with everyone else’s. I love this game and would love to see it grow into an even better one. Thank you!

Really enjoying this game but..

this game is great, i like it better than gpgp! however the ads got get the gem currency is weird. the ad will technically end but it has that little wait time till you can click the second (and sometimes a third) x but the game will start up in the background. by the time i get back to the game my first customer has already ordered and their happiness is at 85-70% which is honestly a turnoff for me. the only way to upgrade the coffee machines are those gem currency and you don’t exactly get much from just playing the game. so the only way to get some is the ads and they’re making my gameplay kinda fail. another thing, the controls are a bit weird (if that’s what you can call them for mobile games) i often mean to swipe to go to the syrups back to milk and grab something like the thing that has the coffee grinds in them or the cups and it also messes with my time (which i don’t think matters too much unless there is a quest for it but it kinda just throws me off). i’m not sure if there is anything that can be done about it but i thought i’d mention it. other than the mentioned above, i do very much enjoy the game. it’s quite satisfying and calming but the things i mentioned sometimes ruin the good things about the game. it’s not that deep tho and i will probably keep playing but i hope something can be done to fix them or limit the chances of it happening.

Not as good as gpgp…

When I heard Tapblaze was making a new game, let alone one about COFFEE, I was stoked. I played a few days and I realized a lot of things were different from their last game, the time changes when there is a new customer rather than constantly, and same with the daylight outside. I feel like their happy meter goes down a lot faster now too, but this time it stops at 50%. Diamonds look different, the menus, pause screen, and so on. The tutorial isn’t very clear most of the time (Milk steaming) leading me to have to restart the day to learn again, and the buttons sometimes let go sooner making me have to restart the order all over again. A few things they took from the other game was the same characters except the story based ones, same dialogue speech which I’m fine with. They also have the same noise when you complete an order, like a pizza box sliding on the counter. You’d think they’d change that small yet crucial detail? What I’m trying to say here is that this game felt rush, and you can tell they tried to make it look like its own game, but I feel like OG gpgp players would enjoy the same vibe and satisfaction as the last game had in this one. Last game had lots of love in it, this game felt like a money grabber, seeing as there is energy to play a day now. I hope updates in the future are made to fix this, but I love the idea this game is going for, and the small references to gpgp. Honest review because I had a lot of hope for this new Tapblaze game.

Decent game but doesn’t compare to Original
Tue Mar 11 2025 Kiwifeetstinks!

This game is alright, and yes, this review does bring up comparisons with the original Good Pizza Great Pizza. This game is quite tedious and repetitive, it's hard to level up. Doing the quests is the only available way to get you a lot of exp points, you can only level up faster by doing the quests daily. The individual exp you get from playing a day isn’t much, and the storyline does take a while to get to progress. I wished this game wouldn’t give us levels we had to progress, it actually makes the game even more tedious than it already is. In Good Pizza Great Pizza we never had levels you had to get to in order to unlock a storyline, you just had to keep playing for a while, and it was much easier to get cash in that game than it is for this one. There’s also not much creativity in this game than I originally hoped for, I wanted customers to be able to have their own crazy coffee inventions and we as the player can interpret what the customer wanted, even if the order was tricky because that’s what make the Good Pizza Great Pizza has a charm that this game lacks. Also, there isn't anything particularly challenging or exciting even in the storyline, but it’s decent enough to get three stars from me because it’s not bad. I would argue that a lot of people were looking forward to this game, but it doesn’t come without criticism and hope for improvement. I also would like to add that this game does seem uncooked, imo.
