Say hello to our new update!
It includes various fixes and technical improvements to the game.
Global City will also feature exciting new events and profitable special offers very soon, so keep up with the news!
See you in Global City!
Global City is a high-fidelity city builder that manages to balance deep industrial management with an accessible, mobile-first interface. It moves away from the 'magical' building of other games and focuses on the logistics of construction—you actually have to mine the ore and process the steel to build your skyscrapers.
The graphics are stunningly detailed, especially as your city reaches its modern phase. The social aspect—trading resources with other players in the global market—is a standout feature that adds a layer of economic strategy. It’s a rewarding long-term project for any fan of the SimCity style who wants a bit more industrial realism in their pocket.
Stunning high-definition 3D graphics
Complex resource and production chains
Active global player trading system
Unique quest and storyline progression
Place your processing plants close to the mines. Reducing the travel time for raw resources is key to keeping your construction projects moving at a high speed.
Don't build everything yourself. Sometimes it's cheaper to sell your excess raw ore and buy the finished luxury items from the global market to complete your quest goals.
Yes, Global City requires a connection to access the trade market and social features.
Updating my review. Once you get to levels above 34, you need more than one carpenter, agriculture, electronics and any other building that produces products used elsewhere, or more than 10 slots in the queue. 2 hours for 1 rubber component restricts your ability to complete tasks, and it cuts down on users wanting to buy tokens, as the game takes too long to get stuff done. Rubber is then used in foam, another 30 minutes. There are other problems, but rubber is the worst. This is an excellent city building game, one you can play without having to pay. Of course, bonus items can be purchased to let you get done faster, but not like SimCity where you cannot finish the tutorial without buying something. I would rather buy things I want, than to be compelled. Things to improve: 1) no need to go into other player’s cities when buying something, slows you down; 2) show all 15 items for sale at one point, hard to get items are never there for those you must scroll for, but if they are in the first 5 and you are lightening fast, you can get them; 3) allow a 2nd carpenter building, even with all 10 queues purchased, the items take so much time and you need them elsewhere; 4) allow 4 more blocks to be enabled on the NE corner across the existing road from the short stub out road down to the river before the airport, providing room for all buildings and the 2nd carpenter building. Glad to see the contests for the unions, gives them some purpose.
Yes I would rate this game very high considering the amount of time I’ve been playing it for and the experience I’ve had. However, just a few small things I would like a change in. Firstly, I would like it if you could trade resources within your union, because I am forced to put items in the exchange and they might be bought up before members in my union can buy the item if they are something valuable, like slabs or aero blueprints. I would suggest something like the token exchange in the union. I would also like it if you could give any amount of tokens per transfer, and also request tokens more than once per 8 hours. It would also be nice to see some more events, and larger overall territory, more structures, and personally, another airport or a larger airport just because it’s one of my fav structures in the game. Than you devs please implement these changes as soon as you can! Definitely would recommend this game, but it will take some patience to get through.
This is the best city building game I’ve played, and I’ve tried quite a few. I like that you don’t have spend tons of money to get started, things don’t take forever to produce, and there’s a place to “purchase” needed items. That said, there are a few things that could stand some improvement. 1) There needs to be a benefit to joining a union. I’d like to see the capability of selling/trading goods with union members. 2) There needs to be an edit mode so you can move thing around and see what’s behind buildings. While in edit mode you should be able to click on something and it’ll either show you the building or tell what it is. 3) At first I thought the game was deleting items from my inventory, items like windows and doors that take a long time to build from start to finish. I submitted a support ticket and was told to video it. Well, I don’t know how to do that. After paying closer attention, I found that what would happen is that I’d set these things up to run while I’m not logged in. And when I returned to the game everything I had scheduled to run was gone. Not only that, but the materials used in the production wasn’t returned to inventory. The only way to get these items is to let the game run all day )which doesn’t help at night) or buy speed-ups. This is a huge deterrent and I’m almost to the point of giving up on it.
This is not a game for everyone, but it really suits my gaming style well. Basically it’s a nonstop slow tension between competing forces that you need to balance… you have very limited warehouse space, yet you need to store lots of supplies or tokens or resource cards in order to purchase upgrades or land or… more warehouse space. What I appreciate is that with patience you do make progress, and you can do so without spending real money. Of course, spending money will relieve the tension and help progress faster. As I said, it’s not a game for everyone… you will watch ads - a lot of them. For me, the ads are also quite repetitive, too. But the rewards from ads are at least significant. My other criticism is that ultimately you’re on the same development track as everybody… there isn’t room for much creativity except for how you arrange buildings in the central areas. All in, I like this game a lot.
This game is basically an updated version of Big Business HD (remember that game back in 2015?) with the capabilities of today’s iOS systems. Money is never required (to my knowledge) to progress throughout the game, which makes it a heck of a lot better than similar games like Airport City. Projects do take time, but are not extremely difficult to achieve. I looked at the city of the number one ranked player in the world on the leaderboard, and it appears that the Ring Road hits a dead end at sea before it can hit the lower island, as is the case with other high-ranked cities. Are there future updates in progress to expand? Also, there are TONS of land spaces that are not available for purchase or to place buildings, whereas that issue was minimal in Big Business HD, which was basically this game’s predecessor. Also, the ring road hits a dead end at the mountains near the game boundary, is this intentional or, again, are there future plans that’ll be available in later updates? Solid game, but there’s always room for improvement!
There needs to be some changes made. 1. Be able to dump products that are not in demand. Meaning I just got the ability to have water blueprints, I have something like 25 in my inventory. They are not used yet and not in demand so I can’t even sell them waste of my inventory. Just delete them 2. When buying items in the global market the lag time while you are switching to the other players city is super slow. Be nice if we did not have to switch to buy the item presented, it speed up the process. 3. If you have added something to be mined/built if your queue has not started building the item you should be able to remove it, I accidentally mined copper and that is a product I can’t use yet. 4. Would like the ability to have a reverse auction. Meaning I want the tape measure and I am willing to pay xxx coins for one, but the request out to the would. 5. Now that my city is getting larger it seems like I don’t get the items come across anymore to make my city larger like the tape measure and the other devices. I still have lots of plots of land to buy. 6. Can the inventory get larger than 95? seems that is maxed out. Can we have the game allow us to build a second inventory building? I really like this game and it does not take very long to build items which makes it fun and keeps me coming back to it. Thank you
Love the game right now only problem I have is I wish you could turn the camera angle because sometimes you can’t see where to put roads or amenities and such. Also it asks you for amenities and energy and water and roads and such and you don’t have enough space in every grid for a house or warehouse or whatever you are placing there along with amenities and water and energy. I am always low on those things. I’ve even tried putting the electrical stuff in the same grid the water in same grid and all my numbers would go even lower showing I haven’t got enough so I’m not sure what to do about that but as of right now that’s my only problem. I do enjoy it though right now it’s about the only game I play
I was charged $9.99 for the Diamond Fund but did not receive it or any other package beyond a one-time purchase of Global Bucks. But for that issue, I would have rated the game 5 stars because it’s lots of fun. Great design! I’m not in a high-spending demographic, so the company is probably slow-walking their response. Nevertheless, I am hopeful that someone will provide me with $8.99 worth of rewards. I realize that your profits come from people purchasing global bucks and bonus packages. It’s the same strategy printer companies use when they sell their printers at or below cost, knowing that the real money comes from selling ink. It’s legal and profitable. On the other hand, how ethical is it to use behavioral reinforcement to increase someone’s responses so that they will purchase more stuff. Companies manipulate the odds of winning online card games in theso a person will chase after their early wins. The longer they spend staring at their screens, the more likely they’ll buy something. What you’re doing with Global City is brilliant, After the customer tastes early, rapid growth, you bottleneck their production and offer quick fixes that will induce them into spending real money to move up. You’re not coercing anyone to spend their money. But what the hey, people pay big bucks to amusement parks for fake thrills. I have done so. And I enjoy this game more than waiting an hour in line at a Disney park.
