Garden Rescue is a colorful and charming take on the tower defense genre that trades gritty soldiers for protective garden plants. The premise is simple: hungry insects are invading your prize-winning garden, and you must strategically place defensive plants to stop them. It’s a lighthearted experience that doesn't reinvent the wheel but executes the classic TD formula with a lot of heart.
The variety of 'towers' (plants) and 'enemies' (bugs) keeps the strategy interesting. You have to balance rapid-fire pea shooters with slow-down units and heavy hitters. The Collector's Edition (CE) adds extra levels and content that significantly extend the playtime. While the difficulty curve can spike unexpectedly in the later stages, the vibrant art style and satisfying 'thwack' of projectiles make it a relaxing yet engaging way to pass the time.

Tips & Walkthrough
Never underestimate the power of slowing down your enemies. Place your 'glue' or slowing plants right at the start of long straightaways. This gives your high-damage plants more time to pick off the insects before they reach your base.
Gameplays
Each plant has a specific range. Use the grid to maximize coverage. It's often better to have a few highly upgraded plants at key intersections than many weak plants scattered randomly across the path.

Great Game!!!
Fri Dec 28 2012 Jerome79This one is easy to ease into but challenging to master. On the lines of Plants vs Zombies but way more of a challenge to get all gold stars as a General. I've gotten more playtime and fun out of this little game than I have on console games that cost $50! I'm hoping for more sequels to this awesome little game!
Was a good game
Tue Dec 23 2025 UsernamelevenI’ve played this game for years. I always come back to it to try to beat some of the harder levels. As of about a year ago when I open the app it brings me to the opening screen of the game, but won’t let me push any buttons. I have an iPhone 15 and wonder if it doesn’t fit the format anymore? I have deleted and reinstalled the app in hopes that would fix it but no luck.

Thu Apr 03 2025 Sun2874313Love this game so much, but this app version doesn’t work. The app loads, but nothing on the screen is tappable. Very disappointed. Was so looking forward to playing this game again that I even bought it without trying it. Don’t make that mistake. :(

Wed Oct 07 2015 Almac1980I have bought and paid for every version of this app and it won't work. It loads then it won't let you tap anywhere on the screen. I have reloaded it several times. I even paid for the full version. Nothing. Not a one will Load!!!
