Our Expert Score

88/100

Flick Golf is the pure essence of arcade sports, stripped of everything that makes actual golf slow and tedious. Full Fat Games understood that the most satisfying part of a golf game is the arc of the ball, and they built an entire experience around controlling that arc with mid-air 'aftertouch.' Swiping the screen to curve a ball around a tree or spinning it backwards on the green is tactile and immensely rewarding.

The level design is a highlight, featuring lush, retina-quality 3D environments that range from traditional fairways to more exotic locales. It’s a game of 'just one more try,' as you constantly chase that elusive hole-in-one or a new high score on the leaderboards. The lack of clubs or complex rules makes it the perfect pick-up-and-play title for a commute, yet the depth of the spin system ensures there's a high ceiling for skilled players. It remains one of the best-looking and best-feeling sports games on the platform.

Adam Sandler Salute
Sat Jul 30 2022 IININJA7II

Most of us watch movies. Some of us have seen a few, and throughout the years no other golfing movie has flambuoyantly energized the need for versatility and half drunken ‘what ifs’ frequently occuring as much as Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore, and though this game lacks mini golf structure and fundamentals, its good to know I still feel extra lucky given complete control over what my golf ball does when I demonstrate what subconsciously reclusive habits involving dried saliva and dust in my youth may benefit my boredom and impress a few people I most likely will never meet. 4.5/5for what its worth, and replayability 5/5. Flick Golf will pass the time away and thats exactly what its needed for. Bravo.

Simple yet fun

The learning curve is quick but the mastery is hard. Well thought out and fun game. Great for all levels of game play. I wish there were more levels and maybe an actual course with fairways/bunkers etc, but other than that well done.

I love this game but there is only a few levels and you need to pay for more levels so if you could make those courses free that would be great and more courses it would be an amazing game. Thanks for the great games.

This is a great app that is enjoyable to play until the white box appears over the hole to tell you to try and spin the ball, you lose seconds off your game by reading what it says plus you can't see the hole until the writing disappears. Delete the suggestion to spin the ball please!

Too many ads

The ads make the game completely useless. It’s not enjoyable and apparently there’s no way to pay for no ads because I don’t see it which is probably a good thing considering I already bought the first version only for the developer to discontinue it entirely and the new game isn’t any different except for the resolution.

Addictive

Fun, but limited

You only get one shot per hole, so you're trying for a hole in one on every shot. But to really rack up points, you need to put all kinds of spin on the ball in flight and after it hits the ground. This gets annoying after a while.
