Our Expert Score

89/100

Flash Party is an absolute standout in the mobile fighting genre, offering a high-quality platform fighter experience that feels like a love letter to classics like Super Smash Bros. The controls are surprisingly precise for a touch-based game, and the variety of movement options—attack, jump, dodge, and block—allows for genuine competitive depth and combo experimentation. The objective is simple but addictive: knock your opponents off-stage by building up their KO score. The higher the score, the further they fly with every hit, making for high-intensity matches that keep you on the edge of your seat.

The character roster is one of the game's greatest strengths. From original designs like a chubby snowman and a high-school girl with an apple head to interesting guest characters, each hero feels distinct with their own unique style. The game offers a wealth of modes, including 1v1 Challenges, Team Competitions, and even 'Soccer Showdown,' which keeps the gameplay loop from ever feeling stale. While there is a monetization system for characters and skins, the core mechanics are so solid and the community is so active that it remains one of the best competitive multiplayer experiences on mobile.

This game is good one of my favorite mobile platform game unlike brawlhalla that u have to pay to even play with players but this game is different good to play for free but just because there’s a word called free it’s not every single time I join this game random pop up’s tell me to spend money spend money spend money this is one of the bad thing with this game but better than other platform but the other thing is the star pass like the level one why does it never update the mission one is good but the level up one is something else like when u get all the star coins u can’t get it no more the rest are just treasure chest but overall it has only 2 bad things that’s all but please do update. I know I asked for a update but this update is worse than the other one like am new to the game and I just got somone who was better than me also they were using Thanatos which I learnt now but I couldn’t do anything I was figuring out my controls is there a training place for the heroes?

This game has more bad then good.

Let me be honest, I’m a big fan of the super smash genre, and so on so forth. And when I first downloaded this game, and your other game, T3 arena, I can say that I personally liked it. However, when we downloading this game because not remembering why I deleted in the first place, I was swiftly reminded. The game has no balance. While it has good graphics, the gameplay is absolutely terrible. Some characters do things that you don’t want, the controls can be a bit wonky, but overall it’s smooth. The gameplay is smooth. But the matchups are absolutely GARBAGE! The matchmaking is absolutely ludicrous, you could be a new player but get put up and get someone who’s been playing way too long and has clearly ever seen grass. And you might ask yourself, why not play the other game? Or the other game also has no absolute challenge. It’s over you got bad teammates are you got a good teammates, and in the end, if you were any good at shooter games, there is no challenge behind it. You end up doing all of the work and there’s no enjoyment!I deleted both games because this one, while not difficult, just annoying, has too much challenge because of the terrible development and your other game, T3 arena is great, but I deleted it because it has great development, but no absolute challenge! Hoping your next game will find a good balance between the two, that is, if you do make another game.

No compatibility to older devices

Don’t get me wrong, I love this game so much! My beef now with it is that my phone that I have purchased should not be a barrier to how well a game functions. I have an iPhone 8 and it seems as though everything I do try to play is always working against me because of the internet and straight up client crashing. I want to play a fighting game that should have fair grounds and this game is going through a stage where it’s only improving things like graphics, UI, new gameplay elements rather than actually stabilizing. I know the team is working really hard on fixing bugs but it feels unfair the fact that my device is the thing that should hold me back. Why play an awesome game when I have to be the one purchasing a new device for it just to keep up with some data management pretty much. This is only to help with the internet crutch by the way, just the graphics alone cripples my device since it is always super hot and this is on just the lowest setting alone. There’s so many problems all due to just trying to make the game look good when I can’t even fight online normally. Please for me and all your players, can you just keep the game simple like you all have done? I don’t want to change a game that I enjoy

The game is great but…

This game is very well built. Gameplay is somewhat smooth and definitely feels like a faster-paced smash ultimate. The game was really fun for the first few days but things got stale very quickly. This was mainly due to the lack of balance and the roster being small. I also kept running into the same players mashing specials because there isn’t a lot of people playing. Sometimes you are matched up with straight bots. Depending on the matchup, games can go very VERY slow. The character Alice is busted. I was getting free wins because of her attack range and how easily you can hit the opponent with the cake ability. There really isn’t a way to punish her attacks because she already can lash out a new one by the time you get there. Same goes with the newest sword character. She has a lot of multi hit moves like her jab that deals 20 something damage. I also had trouble making an account for the game. Whenever I made an account the only way out of the pop up was the “(X)” button which pretty much undoes the accounts creation. The game also requires a really good connection in order for you and your opponent to freeze or teleport across the map. Not exactly an on the go game.

Another Micro Transaction Reward System
Sun Dec 28 2025 THE 1 Honest Gamer

The game itself is very fun, at one point had the whole family playing. Everything about it really, is pretty awesome. However, once you get hooked on the game, they will rip away everything you’ve accomplished and tell you to continue using it, you have to pay for it. I hope people refuse this BS, to stop rewarding these companies for creating this mentality. I was rewarded a new skin for one of the base players, once I started using it, it said to continue using said skin, I would have to pay for it. You might say, oh it’s only a few dollars, what’s the big deal? Bating someone into a game letting them win stuff based on their reward system, and then saying if you wanna use it, you gotta pay us, is BS. This mentality is what’s ruining games in general, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. These companies don’t earn their pay checks, they steal them. But letting you win, and rank up super easy, making it FEEL like you’re using your time in a valuable way, then, right when you least expect it, pay wall. Don’t reward me, for logining into your game, and then take away my reward because I haven’t purchased anything yet. My time is valuable to me, and I HATE being gaslite by companies who just tease people like this. Nobody should be okay with it, regardless of the quality of the game.

The best platform fighter available for mobile play!
Sun Nov 03 2024 DanielJerome

I am completely aware of Flash Party on PC, but to be able to play it on mobile for some quick fun, yet very similar and responsive controls being translated over to swiping + tapping the screen…still being able to short hop, fast fall, parry, even some wave dashing…I did not expect for these type of executions to work or be functional without controller support..but they does! I know competitive players would prefer to use a controller, but as a casual player and huge platform fighter fan..I am very impressed by the overall quality presented here. This game clearly shows the potential of even more of this genre being compatible for mobile and I am surprised more developers haven’t tried following along with what Flash Party has brought to the table as far as pushing mobile limits. The formula feels perfect and so far I’ve had no issues as far as game connection or any hiccups I sometimes experience on console platfighters. Obviously Brawhalla is the other great game in the genre available in the app store, but Flash Party is different in the sense that it personally feels much closer and familiar to the many other platform fighters I enjoy. Thank you for bringing this to mobile! Again, if you ever need your fix of this style game while you are out and about or away from your controllers…You gotta give this game a chance and I’m sure you too will be impressed by the mobile support.

5 Stars But Some Things Should Be Added.
Thu Nov 16 2023 DAVID HUTSON

So I got this game like a week ago now. Me and my other friend are addicted to it already. It's just like brawlhalla but honestly better. Theirs some things y'all should add tho to make it better. 1. Add more characters in the future. It will get boring playing with the same characters over and over so you gotta be consistent with character updates. 2. Add a few more characters to the star pass/battle pass. The only characters you can unlock on the pass thing is mikko, and Sophie. For all the other characters it's kinda hard. 3. To unlock characters you should unlock character shards cause it's more interesting then just using plain tokens that are hard to get. I think their should also be rarities in the game. Starting from common the legendary. Commons: 10 Shards. Rare: 30 shards. Epic: 50 shards. Legendary: 80 shards. Special: 100 shards. 4. Add something like Final smashes. It's just kinda bland using basic moves. I mean yeah the star moves are interesting but their should be a main super move for every character and it should come with a little cutscene. Basically y'all should add something just like final smashes from smash bros ultimate. It would be interesting to see each super move go in action. It shows off each characters power even more then they already have in my opinion. So this game is still 5 stars but I would like to see these features get added. Most especially number 4 and 3.

This actually surprised me.

I’ve played this for a few hours, and my first impression is as follows. Gameplay and graphic wise, I am seriously impressed with how good it is. This should be the go-to platform fighter on mobile devices. I’ll even go as far as to say this game needs more attention from the public in general. I’ve played a handful of platform fighters outside of smash—Brawlout, Brawlhalla, Rivals of aether namely—and the fluidity is on par with them. In spite of this game being reliant on touch screen controls, I feel that it controls really well (As smoothly as it can with touchscreen inputs anyway). Air dodging and shielding are the two things I find difficult to input due to the touchscreen layout… Nothing that a Bluetooth controller can’t fix if that is a possibility. This game has my attention enough to make me want to invest in one for just this game alone. I look forward to seeing what the devs have in store for this game’s future content.
