Added new cards and new heroes to bring more variety to battles
Adjusted the schedule for some events
Fixed various in-game bugs and text issues
Fist Out: CCG Duel brings a visceral, street-brawl energy to the tactical card game genre. As a CCG expert, I love the 'Combo' mechanic; it forces you to think about card order in a way that truly mimics the rhythm of a real fight. You aren't just playing cards; you're building a physical sequence of strikes and counters. The character art is stunningly gritty, giving the underground arena a legitimate sense of place.
The deck-building is deep, allowing for distinct playstyles like the high-stamina 'Grappler' or the quick 'Striker'. The real-time PvP is where the game shines, requiring you to read your opponent's 'tells' via their stamina usage and card history. It’s a smart, stylish, and incredibly satisfying take on card dueling that packs a real punch.
Deep Deck Building
Stunning Character Art
Real-time PvP Battles
Unique Combo Mechanic
Keep 'Block' cards in your hand if your opponent is building up 'Stamina'. They are likely preparing a 'Heavy Strike' which can be countered for a stun.
Take your deck online and fight through the ranks from Street Thug to Grand Champion. Season rewards include rare foil cards.
You can earn card packs by winning matches or completing daily missions.
Not a dev, real player review here. Disclosure, I am a dolphin spender and play a lot of “free” games. That said, this game is a blast! I don’t think you need to spend, but spending, like all games accelerates progress. The game play and card synergy/ strategy of this game is real and very enjoyable. matches are quick and every match requires some varied play. i highly recommend this game.
I was enjoying the game. It’s not the best, there is a lot of disorganization. The home base map doesn’t scroll which makes it hard to reach certain spots because it’s hidden under all the offers to buy things. Still it was going fine. Other issues I had were that when you get a second character with different troops, they each have their gimmick but it’s hard to know exactly what certain keywords are because they don’t have an explanation or like an index of what each keyword means. Some are obvious like block. But others aren’t as easy to figure out from just the name. Still, all that was fine and I even drop a bit of money on it. The reason it gets one star is that for the last couple of hours I can’t even get into the game because it keeps crashing and telling me to log back in.
Game is fun and addicting. I really enjoyed playing it. However the game is very awful with P2play and paying reallllllllllllly makes a difference. Disclaimer this next part is just my thoughts and my own personal speculation. I feel they make bot accounts to compete with top players to push spenders to spend more. I was the top of my server and all of a sudden this other person caught up to me and was about to pass me. This player didn’t even exist until recently. Nothing about them made sense. Then when I quit playing I logged in months later and they past me slightly then also quit playing after dumping tons of money to catch up to me? Just a little weird that they also quit playing right after me.
This game has by far the most monetization I’ve ever played. Everything uses the premium cash currency (diamonds). Leveling up your hero’s (commander) and subordinates (cards) require diamonds, and eventually you’ll need hero shards to upgrade the hero too. Which you can randomly draw or pay diamonds for a x amount per x diamonds. You need the hero’s to draw the subordinates, the hero’s accumulate draws over time, but if the hero has to upgrade you *MUST* upgrade first before you can draw again. You’ve cleared a campaign area or beaten an invasion boss (world boss)? Pay extra to access the premium reward chest. There’s multiple rewards passes too! Ladder and Stellar War events both heavily use AI Bots to play against you. There’s no fairness in that either, the Bots will have cards multiple levels higher that even the biggest spenders struggled to beat. And that’s the real problem with the game. However fun the gameplay/deckbuilding could be, it either cheats your money or time because it doesn’t care how skillful you are, just how much your wallet can stomach. And if you don’t spend money, you run into progression walls at every corner!
Interesting game and somewhat fun even, until you realize just how many things are locked behind spending money. To start, there’s an energy system just to enter a campaign stage. It’s 2025, enough with these games that actively make your player base STOP PLAYING THE GAME. If this doesn’t make you stop, literally every currency in the game is gate-kept HARD behind spending. There’s at least 50 different packages, absolutely none of which are worth the money. Lastly, when you use auto play on later stages, it actively sabotages you. Need to stop the enemy from having a FREE ATTACK on your health to make you lose the game? Autoplay will place your card in a completely different column and you’ll just waste your attempt. All in all, this is a 3 star game, dropping to 1 star based on energy system and massively inflated monetization
To be fair the gameplay is fairly enjoyable other than the long reload on for energy. The pvp is enjoyable as well. However there comes a point in games where you can be giving to your player base and this game has chosen not to do so. Codes are stingy, packs are expensive, events require pay to realistically get rewards. Just disappointing having somewhat enjoyed playing the actual game. And I'm not one to be averse to spending a lil if a game is super fun but a lil won't get you far here. Edit: Having played for even longer the costs have not gone down. Still unbalanced, and the bots in pvp have much higher card levels to try and get you to spend money
Absolute garbage. It’s just like all the other freemium games on the App Store. You have such a low chance of getting another hero for free, they give you one 10 summon and that’s it. Your deck will be mid because you can only get very limited upgrading done without buying more currency. You’ll be required to play PvP where you have a pretty high chance of going against somebody who’s paid for their cards to be upgraded further making them statistically stronger than your copies of the same card. TL;DR - nothing special, has the same issues as the other “free” CCGs on the App Store. Just download master duel, atleast there you can build a couple of good decks without spending anything.
This game is so fun. It’s like a good mixture of strategy and grinding with a good amount of choice and customization. My only issue is a bug that’s been happening for the last month where it will randomly (and frequently) say “ invalid, parameter” and not let me do anything without fully reopening the game, but other then that this game is amazing!!
