Fast First is essentially a digital version of the 'slap' game, and it’s surprisingly effective at inducing palm-sweating tension. The premise is as simple as it gets: two players, one device, and a visual cue that tells you when to strike. It’s a pure test of neurological response time that strips away the fluff of modern mobile gaming to find something visceral and competitive.
While the solo mode is a decent way to sharpen your reflexes and track your physiological limits, the game truly shines in local multiplayer. Sitting across from a friend and trying to out-twitch them creates a genuine social spark. The minimalist aesthetic keeps the focus entirely on the reaction window, though the lack of deep progression or varied modes might limit its longevity for some. It’s a sharp, focused tool for settling bets and testing who actually has the fastest fingers in the room.
Precision millisecond tracking
Local split-screen multiplayer
Global high-score leaderboards
Ad-free focused gameplay
To achieve the fastest possible reaction time, don't rest your finger on the device. Keep it hovering just a fraction of a millimeter above the screen to minimize the physical travel time once your brain registers the signal.
The screen splits in half, providing two identical trigger zones. When the center icon changes state, the first player to touch their zone wins the point. The first to five points claims the crown.
The game is optimized for low-latency input, but hardware variations can occur. We recommend playing on devices with high touch-sampling rates for the best experience.
This app is very good at one thing - choosing a starting player order quickly. It will not help you win the game, nor cook you a delicious dinner. But if you want an lean app that can choose the starting player without the need to divulge your age, number of countries you've visited, or any other personal secrets to be ruthlessly compared against your fellow gamers, look no further!
This app is the best. It is the quickest… no spinning things… no making everyone touch the screen before choosing…. just open it, and you already know who goes first. I recommend this app to all my board game friends. Thanks!
My go to app for selecting start player. Does what it is meant to do quickly, which is what I want. I mean, it’s right there in the name…
This is a quick, no-fuss app that does exactly what it’s meant to. The screen is clean and easy to read.
This is the best start player app I've used by far. Everything on one screen; no need to select the number of players; provides both start player and player order if needed. Super easy to use and I love having everything on one page.
I really like this app. I use it every time I game. It's much easier to see than the usual spinner-style first player apps, the speed to get my first player is next to nothing and the symbology is very clear. Great addition to any table top gamer's bag!
Couldn't be simpler to use. So much easier to determine the start player versus the traditional spinner app. No brainer purchase if you are an active gamer.
