Doodle God Universe is a nostalgic trip wrapped in a shiny new 3D coat. If you’ve played the original, you know the drill: click two things and hope they make a third thing. It sounds simple, but there is an undeniable dopamine hit when you finally figure out how to make a ‘Human’ or a ‘Locomotive’ after dozens of failed attempts. The 3D globe is the real star here; watching your barren rock turn into a lush, inhabited planet is much more satisfying than just watching a counter go up.
However, it isn't without its quirks. Some combinations feel a bit like ‘moon logic’ where the connection isn’t immediately obvious, and the unskippable animations for new elements can slow down the pace if you're on a roll. That said, as a relaxing, 'pick-up-and-play' title on Apple Arcade, it’s a polished and charming experience that will keep you guessing for hours. It’s perfect for short sessions where you just want to feel like a deity for a few minutes.
