- minor bugfix
Doodle Devil is a dark, witty, and incredibly addictive puzzle game that serves as the perfect companion (or antagonist) to the original Doodle God. The premise is simple but genius: you start with a few basic elements like Punishment and Fire, and by combining them, you create everything from the Seven Deadly Sins to demons and monsters. It’s a game of logic, experimentation, and occasionally, dark humor.
The UI is slick and the 'Devil's' commentary throughout the game adds a layer of personality that many 'alchemy' clones lack. There’s a genuine sense of discovery as you unlock new groups and see your hellish world expand. With over 185 million players worldwide, the game’s longevity is a testament to its satisfying core loop. Whether you're trying to figure out how to create 'Murder' or 'Chaos', the journey is filled with 'aha!' moments that keep you tapping 'just one more combination'.
Over 200 elements to create and discover
Available in 13 different languages
Darkly humorous quotes and 'Devil' persona
Demon Battle mini-game for extra rewards
Slot machine and daily prizes for elements
Start by selecting two elements from your available groups. For example, combining 'Fire' and 'Earth' might yield something new. As you discover more elements, new categories will appear. Use the hint button if you get stuck, but remember it has a cooldown!
The core gameplay is a match-and-discover system. Players browse through categorized 'elements' and pair them together. Success results in new elements and witty flavor text, while failure encourages trying different logic paths.
The game includes a 'Hint' system that will point you toward a possible combination you haven't discovered yet.
This game is still as good as I remembered it. I stopped playing it a while ago for space reasons but I am happy I am back at it. One issue that I really feel needs fixing is with the Demon Battles. If you switch from a low health demon to a higher health one, it will always go from the low demon's health and regenerate from there.
If you’re interested in an honest explanation, read on: I purchased Doodle God a LONG time ago. So, as time went on, they decided to want my money again. So they “updated” their games, at varying intervals... but left the purchased version incompatible with the newest iOS version. Then, they release a “new” version, which you’d have to buy over again. So I actually made a purchase via in-app removal of ads. But at a later time, upon reinstalling it, you cannot restore purchases. I also bought one of their bundles which included Doodle Devil, Doodle God and one other (cant even remember which). Once again, these became no longer able to be downloaded without paying again. The only options to deal with these folks is to not spend your money. I love these games, but they have made multiple, intentional crippling of their games that have been paid for, so that you will need to pay again.
This is a great game. It's harder then its counterpart, Doodle God, but it still is fun. I only wish they'd have the wheel like they do in the other games, but they have the slots so I guess it's okay.
I just got this game 2 days ago and every time I’ve tried opening it the main menu screen is black. It still plays sound and if I tap around I can tell I’m opening something, but I just can’t play it. Today I opened it up through the app store and this is the first time I’ve been able to see the menu.
Awesome game all around. Just wish it allowed more reactions for free. Otherwise love it 😊
So I saw this game cuz I love doodle god but I thought at first it was making fun of god and I got mad so before i wrote a review I played it and still I’m upset about the devil part but it’s true so it’s an ok game that’s all I can really say about it
I used to play this game a couple years ago and decided to revisit it. Playing the game is miserable now! Too many ads, but I wouldn’t mind that if the game didn’t set restrictions on how long you can play without “recharging.” Clearly jsut a way for the game to make more money, but sadly makes it in my opinion, unplayable.
I bought the bundle pack ($7.99) which were the full versions of all four games. But for some reason I am still getting ads like crazy on Doodle Devil. And it’s only this one. Which change rating when fixed.
