- Fix Issue with Achievement "Love to Hate You"
- Improved Controller Compatability
Doki Doki Ragnarok is arguably the funniest and most self-aware game you'll play this year. It takes the visual novel/dating sim genre and gives it a glorious Viking twist—instead of dating cute high school students, you are a Viking pillager dating literally 'villages.' As an expert in indie games, I found the writing to be consistently sharp, satirizing both Norse mythology and modern dating tropes with equal fervor.
Each village has its own personality, 'likes' and 'dislikes,' and you must choose your dialogue options carefully to woo them into letting you raid them. It’s a bizarre premise that works perfectly thanks to its charm and creative scenarios. The art style is vibrant and humorous, and the short, episodic nature of the raids makes it perfect for mobile gaming. It’s a clever, laugh-out-loud adventure that proves you don't need a massive budget to create a memorable and unique gameplay experience.
Hilarious satirical writing and scenarios
Multiple unique villages to 'date'
Charming and colorful character art
Branching dialogue paths and endings
Read the village's 'profile' carefully. Some villages prefer a more aggressive, traditional Viking approach, while others respond better to poetry and sensitive conversation.
Your choices determine the quality of the loot you receive. A 'Perfect Date' will result in a legendary raid with maximum rewards and happy Vikings!
The 'combat' is handled through dialogue and choices, making it a pure visual novel experience with a focus on humor.
it’s worth 4 dollars. nothing mind blowing but a funny casual game that’s better than most free-to-play stuff. do note that it’s not a real dating sim but rather a parody.
Do NOT waste your money!!!
